Sequins and Sea Breezes: Lady In Red

Lady In Red

5/07/2014

Going a little back in time here... I actually wore this dress on Monday when I went out for Cinco de Mayo but I didn't take the pictures until right before I went out so I didn't get to post it on Cinco but better late than never, right? I don't know why but for some reason I always think of red and bright colors when I think of Cinco de Mayo so I decided to wear this bright red shift dress out to celebrate. I seriously have an unhealthy obsession with shift dresses right now. I just keep buying them (I bought on from the J.Crew sale on Monday so be on the lookout for that in the next few weeks) because they're so comfy and cute and I'm all about comfort... then cute. ;) With it getting so hot down here in Florida I hate things that are overly clingy so shift dresses are perfect for those hot summer days when the heat is stifling. For Cinco we went out to this place downtown that's pretty casual  (I love wearing heels and getting dressed up, don't get me wrong, but after a long day at work if I'm going out I want to be comfy) so I could wear sandals and fit in perfectly so of course I threw on my Miller sandals, some turquoise jewelry and headed out for some Coronas and queso! I skipped the margaritas in lieu of pink Coronas (if you didn't notice from my Instagram or maybe thought they appeared pink from my dress) which isn't usual for me but considering it was a Monday night I figured tequila was a bad idea. Actually tequila is probably always a bad idea but sometimes bad ideas aren't so bad :)
