Can someone please tell me where this month went?! I seriously can't figure out how tomorrow is already the last day of May. June is officially my birthday month so I guess it's probably time to start thinking about what I want to do since I almost always wait until the very last minute to plan something. Any suggestions? 

At this point I'll just be thankful if it stops raining in June. I'm pretty sure this is the rainiest May we've ever had and while I appreciate an occasional rainy day and I accept our summer rain showers every afternoon, I am definitely over the all day gloomy rain we've been having. But I guess one upside to the rain is it's kept it from being crazy hot out so I was able to wear this cute little floral kimono this weekend without being too warm. Usually I'm not a huge fan of kimonos or dusters, but this one sold me with it's mixed patterns and the cute little tassel side ties. I decided to pair it with a basic black tank and some high-waisted shorts for running errands and grabbing a bite to eat. I topped off the look with my new favorite platform sandals which are super comfortable and on super sale. They're such a great dupe for the Chloe sandals for a fraction of the price and they look great with everything.

Happy happy humpday babes! Hope everyone is having a fantastic week so far! I can't believe Memorial Day is right around the corner. Where has this year gone? I don't really have anything planned but I am super excited about my extra day off from work this year! Is anyone doing anything fun? While I don't know what I'll be doing yet, I do know I'll probably be rocking these overalls!

I'm not going to lie, I was originally super nervous to try the overall trend. I absolutely loved them on other people but with me being so petite, I was definitely nervous about them making me look a little too child like so I started the hunt for the perfect pair. I stumbled across these a few weeks ago and again thought they looked super cute on the mannequin but I was hesitant to try them on. My third time coming across them I finally caved and tried them on and guys, I'm sold. Now I remember why I loved wearing overalls as a kid! They're super comfy, look cute and unlike with a romper, you don't have to get completely naked to go to the bathroom. Seriously, it doesn't get any more awkward than going to the bathroom in a public place, in a romper lol. One of the things that I love about these overalls is how versatile they are. I ended up wearing this outfit running errands and doing some shopping last weekend and I got three compliments on how cute my overalls were.

Happy Monday friends! It's been raining here every single day for the past week and I have to admit, it's really starting to affect my mood. Don't get me wrong, I love staying at home, cuddling up on the couch and watching a movie on a rainy day but a week's worth of rainy days is getting a little old. Hopefully everyone else is having better spring weather than we are! With all the rain I didn't take a ton of pictures this weekend but still linking up with my favorite mama-to-be, Biana, for a little weekend recap. 

Friday after work I headed out to happy hour with some friends and co-workers. After some shots of tequila, happy hour turned into drinks which turned into late night ice cream. I mean, any night that ends in ice cream is a good night in my opinion. 

Saturday I woke up to another rainy day so I got some stuff done around the house before heading out to see Deadpool 2. Guys. Can we talk about how I've seen 3 movies in the past month? I don't even know who I am any more. But I highly recommend seeing Deadpool 2 if you haven't already. And stay after the credits. Hilarious. After the movie I headed over to my boo, Kerri's, for some bubbles, charcuteterie and the finale of Riverdale.

  

Sunday was rain, rain and more rain so I said screw it and headed to Universal to play in the rain with Kerri. Despite the horrible weather, we had a blast and got to ride Fast & Furious, which if I'm being completely honest, was way overrated.

Happy Monday friends! You may have noticed I was absent from the blogging world last week. I usually spend my Sunday blogging but last Sunday I was super sick so instead I spent the day napping and trying to feel better. It was actually nice taking the whole week off to just come home and relax and sleep a little later in the morning but I did miss you guys and I hope you can forgive me for just going totally MIA! Today I'm back and sharing my experience at The Escape Room Orlando. 

When I was younger I used to love doing the escape room games on my computer so when all of the escape room games started popping up, I was really interested in checking one out. Lucky for me, a few weeks ago my friends decided last minute they wanted to do one so of course I jumped at the chance to join them. After looking at a few places we decided to try The Escape Room Orlando on I-Drive.

You book your reservation time online and can have up to 8 people per room. If you don't have 8 people, there's a chance you could get placed with others. Once you get there and get checked in, you get taken back to your room and are given the rules and backstory for your game. Since you only have an hour and you have to pay attention to clues, you can't have your phone out so excuse my lack of pictures but trust me when I say they do an amazing job with the themes in the rooms. Our game was Prison Break and I managed to sneak one picture in before the game started. To start our group was split into two teams and we were placed in two different jail cells and had to work together to break free from the jail cells then had to work together to break free from several other rooms. 

Personally I have no idea how people do this with complete strangers because it definitely takes a high level of collaboration, communication and sometimes things can get a bit heated. You have the ability to get 3 clues from your game moderator and they'll occasionally send you random "free" clues. We managed to escape from our game with 4 minutes to spare and we were the first group to escape for the day (no, we weren't the first group of the day either!). I already can't wait to try another escape room. Have you ever done one?

Happy Humpday my little chalupas. I know that's usually a Kerri phrase but with it being so close to Cinco de Mayo, I have Mexican on the brain. Cinco is one of my favorite days of the year because it gives me an excuse to eat all the queso and tacos and not feel bad about it. Ok, so I already do that BUT this time there's actually an excuse to do it, amiright? 

Speaking of Cinco, I haven't decided what I'm going to wear yet but this outfit is definitely pretty high up there on the list. I know it's not overly festive but for some reason this top makes me think of vacations in Mexico and this skirt has by far become one of my favorites. I had been on the hunt for a denim skirt and it shouldn't have surprised me that I ended up finding exactly what I was looking for in this Free People skirt. It's super stretchy which makes it incredibly comfy and I love the flattering fit. This outfit is definitely in the top running for Saturday but we'll see!
