Happy Wednesday loves! Florida is finally getting it's taste of back to back days of winter. In fact, we've been below 70 for 4 days in a row now and I think this is the first time that's happened since last winter. I definitely feel slightly bad for the people coming here on vacation expecting sunshine and warm weather because it just isn't happening right now. But I've been enjoying the cooler weather because it means I can break out my favorite sweaters and booties without being too warm!

I bought this sweater back before Christmas but it's been tough to wear it since it's a thicker, cozier sweater so when it dropped down to highs in the 50's I decided it was a perfect time to break it out! Of course now it happens to be on sale for $30 with an additional 50% off when I bought it full price a few months ago but that just means I can scoop it up in a few other colors, right? Another favorite find recently is these leopard booties. I seriously wear them with so many things because leopard is a neutral, right? ;) They're so freaking comfy too!

Guys. Can we talk about this top for a second? I've gotten so many compliments on this top and I have a secret. It's not even a top. It's actually a dress! I've worn it as a dress a few times but it was chillier out and I really wanted to wear it so I threw it on with some jeans and tied it up and voila! Ok, I know it's not the most innovative thing ever but I was so happy with how it looked tied up that I've actually worn it more as a shirt than a dress lately. I plan on doing a post wearing it as a dress soon so you can see the difference but I took these pictures on a 40 degree morning so a dress just wasn't happening!

Oh and did I mention it was also super windy? Yeah, that's where this jacket comes in super handy! I bought this on a total whim after seeing it on another blogger when it was on sale and I have actually gotten SO much wear out of it. I few of my coworkers made fun of me the first time I wore it but on chillier days, I've been the one laughing since I've been nice and warm. I honestly couldn't believe how warm it was and how much it actually blocked the wind. It's so east to dress up or down too. Now I just need to go some place a little cooler for vacation so I can wear it everywhere!

Happy Wednesday babes! How are we already into the second week of 2019? Blows my mind. Not that I'm complaining. I've been beyond ready for 2019 to start.  Nothing great has happened... yet, but then again, it is only the second week, right? One of the things I'm hoping will happen in 2019 is a vacation. Can you believe it's been almost 365 days since I took a day off (besides the weekend) that I didn't make up during the week? Even holidays that I had off, I worked four 10 hour days to make get to 40 hours that week. The joys of being a contractor. Fingers crossed I'm able to get a full time, permanent position this year because this girl needs a day off.
Ok, I guess it's true that I do live where most people love to vacation so it could be worse but it'd be really nice to just have a 3-day weekend even if I did stay here and do nothing! Alright, I'll stop my whining now. Let's talk about this outfit shall we? One of my goals in 2019 is to transform my wardrobe from trendy, colorful pieces to more neutral timeless pieces and then throw in the trendier pieces when I find a good deal. I had been wanting a corduroy skirt for awhile but wasn't sure how long corduroy would be "cool" again for. I scooped this one up for less than $20! And my scoop neck bodysuit? Only $25! Both are perfect "trendier" pieces at a great cost and I love pairing them with some higher end items. Does anyone have any fun fashion goals for 2019?
