Happy Tuesday loves! Hope everyone's week is off to a great start! First, I just want to say a huge THANK YOU for all he birthday love yesterday! You all are SO sweet! Sorry for my absence yesterday, my awesome boss let me head home early so I wasn't near a computer all day.  I'm definitely ready for the weekend (already) so I'm glad it's a short week! Since I celebrated my birthday over the weekend, I kept yesterday pretty low key. Can I just say that having your birthday on a Monday kinda sucks? Not just having it on a Monday but a Monday where you have to work and get up at 5 am! I wish I could make a new rule that if you're birthday falls on a week day you automatically get it off! Oh well, enough complaining!

If you follow me on Instagram or on Facebook you already saw this romper in my pictures from Sunday. This was my birthday romper my mom bought for me while she was visiting last week. I absolutely love the fun colors and the abstract pattern on it! Oh and did I mention it has pockets? If you've been following me for awhile you already know I have an obsession with anything with pockets! Don't ask me why... haha! Obviously I didn't wear heels out biking but I decided to dress it up a bit since you already saw what the romper looked like dressed down. Happy Monday dolls! Today is officially my birthday and since we went out to celebrate yesterday I'm going to keep this short and sweet. I hope everyone had as fabulous as a weekend as I did! I love getting to celebrate with such amazing friends and have such an great time! Linking up with my girl Biana for my weekend recap!

Friday night I worked a little late so I came home and laid low. I made an AMAZING prosciutto, goat cheese and rosemary pizza and had some bubbly while watching Pirates of the Caribbean.

Saturday I headed out to the pool to relax and get some sun before Key West next weekend. I downloaded Holly Madison's new book, Down the Rabbit Hole to read while out there. I was going to read What Alice Forgot next but then I saw Perez reading Holly's book and I had to read it now. I wish I would have read What Alice Forgot instead... I loved Holly on GND and Holly's World but this book makes her seem SO bitter and above everything and everyone. Even if that is how things really went down the way she talks about it just makes her seem like the "too smart but overly naive victim" while everyone else (but Bridget) was the "Mean Girl" and Hef was just plain awful according to her.

Saturday night was pretty low key. Grabbed a drink with my girl Kerri and just relaxed before the big celebration Sunday.

Sunday morning I met up with some friends who were unable to go out to the bike ride in the afternoon, for brunch. Because Bailey's French toast and unlimited mimosas are always a good idea!


After brunch I headed over to downtown Sanford for our Limo Bike Pub Crawl. The rest of this post I'm just going to let the pictures speak for themselves.

Happy Friday eve lovelies! Yay for the weekend being literally just around the corner! I really feel like this week dragged for me. Possibly because this weekend is my birthday weekend or possibly because I'm exhausted from waking up super early on Monday to take my mom to the airport but either way I'm definitely ready for the weekend!

I know it's summer (and 100+ degrees out here) but I just can't seem to say no to a perfect little black dress. Every time I throw on a good LBD I feel like Holly Golightly from Breakfast at Tiffany's, I can only dream that my dress is Givenchy though! Of course since Audrey's little black dress the LBD has gotten a little shorter and a little more casual but that's one of the things I love about the LDB is that it's so versatile and easily one of the most timeless pieces you can have in your closet. I love that this particular LBD is leather which adds a bit of edge to it and the shape of it makes me feel a bit mod. Every time I wear this dress I always get comments on it so I felt like the dress itself was enough of a statement piece so I kept my jewelry at a minimum. To add a pop of another color but still keep with the neutral tones I topped off my look with my Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mac that I am obsessed with. This bag seriously goes with everything! Happy Humpday! I can't believe the week is already half way over and next week is July! Where does the time go? I swear June flew by. I feel like just yesterday Kerri and I were going to HOB for the Dashboard Confessional/ Third Eye Blind concert and now here it is a few days before my birthday and a little over a week from Key West! If you haven't been reading my blog for very long, I spend every 4th of July in Key West. This year I'm taking a whole new group of people with me and we're trying out some new things so I'm super excited! I love getting to celebrate the 4th down in Key West, no matter where you are on the island you can see fireworks (they set them off at the north and southeast side), our favorite little beach bar has the best red, white and blue cocktail and we get to bbq in paradise.

Happy Tuesday loves! Summer is officially here and man have we been feeling the effects already! It was already over 100 this weekend (before the heat index) so I'm pretty sure it's only going to get hotter! With temperatures that high I'm living in maxi dress and bikinis so when I saw this adorable maxi from Sophie & Trey I absolutely had to get it. Even though, like all maxi dresses, it's way too long on me I knew it'd be cute with wedges and I could always get it hemmed even though I'd lose the pretty detail on the bottom.

I love the pretty crochet detail at the neckline and the crisscross back which makes it perfect for those hot summer days. The material is also very lightweight and flowy so you don't have to worry about a lining weighing the dress down or making it ridiculously hot. Because it's already so hot out I kept my accessories at a minimum. The less I have on me to get all hot and sweaty (is that TMI?) the better! What are your summer go-to looks to beat the heat? Tell me I'm not the only one who tries to wear clothing that makes you feel like you're wearing as little as possible (without actually wearing as little as possible) to beat the heat? Happy Monday loves! No for real, I wish I was still in bed. I had to wake up super early this morning to drop my mom off at the airport so it's going to be a long day. Finding motivation to go to the gym tonight is going to be tough but I only have three days to go this week so it has to be done! Key West is less than 2 weeks away so I need to be bikini ready by then and with all the eating out I did this weekend it's much needed! Speaking of the weekend, it's time to link up with Biana and Meghan for my weekend recap!

As you already know, my mom came into town on Wednesday evening to spend a long weekend with me. I had to work Thursday and Friday but I still got to spend some time with her after work so it was nice. Thursday night we had a girl's night and went out to dinner to Bahama Breeze since it's one of her favorite restaurants and they don't have one out where she lives. 

Friday night we braved the ridiculous storm to go out to dinner to our favorite Mexican restaurant. I swear every time my mom comes into town she brings horrible weather so Friday we had the worst storm we've had in awhile but it was pretty entertaining to watch until we decided we were hungry and had to run through it!

Saturday we woke up early and headed to the outlets for some shopping. We got there early enough to not have to fight for a parking spot which was awesome. Both of us ended up with some nice goodies. I got a card holder from Kate Spade so I don't always have to have my wallet with me, some tanks from J.Crew and a romper from Bebe to wear out for my birthday. After the outlets we grabbed lunch and then headed out to get a pedicure. 

I went with a bright red in hopes my pedicure will last until the 4th. Wish me luck! Haha! After pedis we grabbed dinner (see, I told you I ate out WAY too much this weekend) and then went back to the house to relax. It was free HBO weekend so we watched 1,000 Ways to Die in the West and it was HILARIOUS. Never would have guessed it but now I really want to watch it again. We also had some cocktails (well beer for me, cocktails for her) and played Cards Against Humanity with the boys and Kate who came over and hung out for a bit. My mom won... that's just wrong, am I right?

Sunday we had plans to go to one of the springs but my mom was worried about hurting her shoulder so we ended up just going to the pool and relaxing while I made crockpot mojo pulled pork. After it got too hot at the pool we headed up to the mall for some impromptu shopping.
