Happy New Year's Eve everyone! I'm actually taking today and tomorrow off from blogging to enjoy the last day of 2015 and the first day of 2016 with friends and family. I'll be relaxing all day today before going out to dinner with Kerri and the boys to dinner and then keeping it low key at home with games, snacks, music and lots of champagne! Then tomorrow I'll be heading over to watch the Gators take on the Michigan Wolverines at the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl! I just wanted to stop in and wish everyone a very safe and very happy New Year! See you in 2016 :)
Happy humpday loves! It's officially my Friday, woohoo! 2015 is officially coming to an end and I'm excited to see what 2016 holds! I can remember how much I used to look forward to going out and celebrating New Year's Eve a few years ago; getting all dressed up, cocktails, dancing, the anticipation of midnight but recently I've enjoyed more low key celebrations. Don't get me wrong, that doesn't mean I don't like to add a little extra sparkle to my wardrobe though!
This blazer from SheIn is the perfect touch of sparkle to any outfit whether you're going out on the town or just to dinner. It can spice up a boring little black dress (ok, who am I kidding. We all know I never think a little black dress is boring) or it can glam up a pair of destroyed denim jeans.Since I'm not doing anything super fancy I decided to keep my NYE look a little more casual. I'd say I broke the cardinal rule of white after Labor Day but I love the winter white look and I really don't think that's much of a rule any more so I broke out my white skinny jeans and a fun graphic tee to go with my sequin blazer. There's just something fun about dressing up and otherwise casual outfit that makes me happy! I topped off my look with my super comfy Sam Edelman chunky heels and of course a bold red lip! P.S. Isn't this the cutest little bottle of Moët?? What are you wearing out for NYE?

Happy Tuesday... or in my case, Thursday! Which is a good thing since I got about... 4 hours of sleep last night. Maybe. So I'm a little tired right now. Anyway, I was super excited to get my newest round of e.l.f products in the mail last week just in time for the holidays! This is my favorite time of year to experiment with new products and looks so I was definitely happy to see several new eyeshadows this time around. It's always fun getting to try out a smokey eye or a fun shimmery look around the holidays and the e.l.f products do not disappoint!
e.l.f Clay Eyeshadow Palette in Smoked to Perfection -While I usually stick to more neutral colors like browns and taupes, I was excited to see these colors when I opened this palette. Most of the colors in this palette are shimmery so they're perfect for a night out and they glide on nice and smooth.
e.l.f Thick Tip Intense Ink Eyeliner - I don't usually use thick tipped eye liners so I was a bit hesitant about this but when I tried it I actually loved it! It resembles a magic marker so I basically just used like a marker and was extremely happy with how easily it went on and the nice straight line it made.
e.l.f.. Long Lasting Lusterous Eyeshadow in Toast -This reminds me more of a mousse type texture and while it isn't super pigmented it does have a lot of shimmer so it's perfect to get that beach goddess look or to go over top of a darker color to add some shine to a matte color.
e.l.f 3-in-1 Mascara -I was pleasantly surprised at how much I loved this mascara. I'm usually a mascara snob (it's the one product I usually don't go out of my comfort zone to try something new) so I was skeptical about this. While I wouldn't say it was better than some of my go-to's for mascara I'd definitely say it's a close second and a big improvement over most other drugstore brands I've tried in the past. The brush provided length and definition as well as volume without making my lashes clumpy.
e.l.f Sculpting Face Brush -I've already raved about the e.l.f brushes and this one is no exception. I'd never tried a sculpting brush before but it really does make a difference in contouring. Before I had just used a regular brush but the dense bristles of the sculpting brush definitely provide more of a flawless finish and allow you to create that more defined look.

Happy Monday lovelies! I hope everyone had a fantastic holiday weekend! I'm totally jealous of everyone who is still off today or on vacation, I'm back at work and definitely not ready to be. Is it just me or does anyone else feel like Christmas came and went WAY too fast? I didn't even get my Christmas cards out this year... whoops. Looks like I'll be ahead of the game next year though! Now the countdown is on for 2016 and I'm writing my last weekending post of 2015! Linking up with my blogger love, Biana for our weekend recap!
I had to work in one of our stores on Thursday and I had to drive a friend to the airport at 4:30 am so by the time I got off work I was pretty exhausted so not much happened Christmas Eve for me.
Christmas morning I woke up bright and early to head to Gainesville for Christmas celebrations. I totally failed on taking many pictures but I did get one of me and my sweet niece as we played Littlest Pet Shop.
We also took a walk since it was a gorgeous day and I came across this adorable house. It reminded me a little of the cute houses in Charleston and totally made me want a front porch.
Saturday I slept in a little, did some cleaning before taking my sweet pup to the dog park to get some exercise an play time in. After the dog park I met up with Kate for some drinks at one of our favorite local spots.
We then headed over to a local brewery for a quick flight and some cornhole while we waited out the rain storm that moved in.
Sunday I ran some errands and ended up snuggling on the couch with my sweet furbaby while watching football. My Bengals don't play until tonight and I'm definitely nervous. It's going to be a tough game against Denver but my fingers are crossed!
I hope everyone has a fabulous week! I have a 3 day work week so I'm super happy!
Merry Christmas {Eve} everyone! I'm taking today and tomorrow off to work celebrate the holidays with friends and family but I just wanted to wish you all a very Merry and safe Christmas! I hope everyone gets everything they wished for and you get to spend lots of time with loved ones! I'll be back on Monday sharing my weekend recap so I'll see you all then!
Merry Christmas!!!!
Happy Wednesday everyone! And more importantly, happy birthday to my daddy! I'm so glad I got to go out to New Mexico earlier this month to surprise him but I wish I was out there today to celebrate. But with Christmas being two days away I'm stuck here trying to make sure everything has been delivered, wrapped and ready to go to Gainesville on Friday. Since I have to work tomorrow I'll probably be rushing to get everything done but oh well. That's what I get for letting the holidays sneak up on me!
Speaking of the holidays, when trying to figure out my Christmas outfit this year I realized it was going to be 85 degrees on Christmas so dressing warm isn't really a necessity. So instead I decided to take full advantage and break out a cute holiday skirt and pair it with a festive plaid button up. The plaid makes me feel at least a little fall/winter like but the fun red midi skirt dresses things up a bit while still keeping me nice and cool. I've been wearing this plaid top on repeat since I bought it. I love the slouchy boyfriend fit and the material is the softest material ever! I topped off my look with some strappy heels and a fun gold, sequin clutch because there's not better time than the holidays to sparkle a little! I hope everyone has a fabulous Christmas!

Happy Tuesday loves! Yesterday was hectic so I didn't get to write the post I had originally planned but then I remembered this fun questionnaire Jennifer did so I figured that'd be a fun post to do before Christmas! I literally left my house yesterday morning at 6:30 am and didn't get home until 7:30 pm then I had to make dinner and make rice krispie treats for my work Christmas thing so needless to say, it was a LONG day! So on that note... here we go:
A holiday tradition: I honestly don't really have any holiday traditions. For as long as I can remember my dad would make sausage balls around the holidays so I've kind of adopted that tradition. I actually stressed out over the weekend when I realized I hadn't made them yet so I ran out, got everything and made them Sunday!
What you'd like to see Santa bring you most this year: There's not much on my wish list this year that I can't live without! I got to see my parents before the holidays so that was nice and definitely would have been something at the top of my wish list.
What's your go-to stocking stuffer: Probably lip balm. I have an obsession with the stuff and I know it's pretty helpful during the cool, dry winter season.
Who is hardest to shop for during the holidays: Hmm... I think it depends on the year. I do my best to pick up on clues and mentions throughout the year for gift ideas so it depends on who gave me the least to go on throughout the year. But usually guys.
Favorite winter accessory: We don't get much of a winter down here so I'd have to say boots or scarves! I love getting to break out my boots and booties. I'm determined to get a cute beanie this year and then go some place cold so I can wear it. Or just rock it on a 60 degree day here LOL
Christmas tree lights; colored or all white?: All white, all the way. My entire tree is decorated in gold and silver ornaments with all white lights.
Favorite holiday cocktail: Umm... probably cider. Or champs of course. But that's all year around!
Favorite holiday food: My sausage balls. Hands down.
Do you have a good white elephant gift idea?: Probably something funny. Who doesn't like a good gag gift, right?
Do you have a good white elephant gift idea?: Probably something funny. Who doesn't like a good gag gift, right?
Do you have a funny picture of you with Santa as a kid?: Nope, can't say that I do!
Do you like candy canes?: YES! I love mint in general. But like Jenn I also love ribbon candy during the holidays.
Hot chocolate; marshmallows or no?: Wait. What's the point of hot chocolate without the marshmallows? Ok, I guess whipped cream works too but bring on the marshmallows!
Favorite holiday song: Hmm... probably All I Want For Christmas but there are a ton of great ones! I love Where Are You Christmas too.
Favorite holiday movie: How the Grinch Stole Christmas
A funny holiday story:
Have you ever been on a sleigh ride?: No :( But I've ridden on an elephant. I know, it's not the same.
A fun holiday memory: The Osborne Lights are always my favorite holiday memory. I've been going to Disney to see those lights for years. I can't believe they're getting rid of them.
Hope everyone has a fabulous day!
Happy Monday! Today is officially the last day of fall, can you believe it? We got a bit of a cold front over the weekend but like I suspected, it didn't last long. Today is supposed to be a high of 82, so much for those winter temperatures. This has been such an abnormally warm fall for us so far. I'm worried Mother Nature is either going to remember and make it a long, harsh winter or we're not going to get much of a winter at all. I guess we'll find out soon! I'm going to be pretty MIA today as I'm flying to Miami for work for the day but if I have internet on the plane I'll reply as soon as I can! Linking up with the gorgeous Biana for our weekend recap!
Friday night I headed out with Kate and the boys on the train to Winter Park for too much some champs on Park Ave. The train is ending it's late night service today so we wanted to take advantage one last time before late night becomes 8 pm LOL. Dinner wasn't the best experience but we checked out a speakeasy and it was pretty fun! We ended up staying out way later than I originally planned, which of course resulted in me falling asleep while out but what else is new? Being old sucks.
Saturday I relaxed in the morning before running out to do some blog pictures and last minute Christmas errands. Later that evening I met up with Kerri to check out a local bar that recently relocated to a new spot.We got there early so we got to enjoy the new space before it got crowded. It's super cute but kind of a pain that they're cash only. After that we headed over to Brass Tap for a nightcap and the fight which was literally over by the time we sat down.
Sunday was spent wrapping Christmas presents and watching football. My Bengals pulled out a win even without our starting QB so we're playoff bound!
And now I'm on my way to the airport to head down south for the day. Wish me luck... at least my airplane has a parachute...

Happy Friday lovelies! It's a downright nasty day here in Florida but it's supposed to be bringing some cooler weather so I guess I can't complain too much. As much as I love the upper 80's, with Christmas being next week I'd really like to get some cooler temperatures so I can start feeling like it's almost winter. Speaking of Christmas, since next Friday is Christmas and the Friday after that is New Year's Day let's jump right into my last Friday Favorites of 2015!
1 // With 2016 being right around the corner I'm on the hunt for a new desk calendar. I loved my gold polka dots for 2015 but I'm looking for something a little more fun this year. Currently this watercolor flower one is top in the running but I'm also loving this one, the sparkle in this one and the simplicity of this one.
2 //As a girl who loves her bubbly... I need this shirt! It's so perfect for the champagne lover and less than $20!
3 // This has quickly become my favorite holiday nail polish color. I wanted a "holiday red" and this one is perfect. I'll be wearing it on repeat through the new year!
4 // Need a last minute gift and not sure what to get? GiGi New York is offering 15% off on their gift cards right now (so you can get a $100 gift card for $85!) and it comes with a free personalized card case! I want to buy one just for the adorable card case!!
5 // Looking for the perfect NYE sparkle while staying warm and comfortable? These gold sequin leggings are perfect and seriously, how cute would they be with the champagne top and a leather jacket?
Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend! If you have any last minute shopping to do like I do, good luck!
Happy almost Friday loves! Sorry for my slow replies and absence the past few days, I'm finally feeling like a human being again so I'm ready for the weekend. I didn't step a single foot outside for two whole days this week so I'm hoping we have some nice weather this weekend that I can sit outside and enjoy. Speaking of nice weather, I got to experience some gorgeous fall/winter like temperatures while I was out in New Mexico visiting my parents a few weeks ago so I took full advantage while I was out there. Of course it's most likely the cause of why I got sick but I won't hold it against them.
One of the things I loved most about New Mexico was how sunny it was. Supposedly I live in the Sunshine State but even on it's sunniest day in Florida, I feel like it's not even half as bright as it was in New Mexico. These pictures were taken at about 4 pm and you can still see how crazy bright everything was. So I apologize that these are a little washed out, I had my white balance settings for Florida sun, not the crazy strong New Mexico sun. Now on to my outfit... I wore this outfit out to dinner my first night out there and I also wore it traveling all day. This striped jersey top is super comfy for traveling and everyday and you all know how much I love stripes! Then I topped off my look with a faux fur vest since it was a little chilly, especially in the shade and my most comfy pair of booties since I knew I was going to be walking around! Hope everyone has a great day!

Happy Humpday friends! I still can't believe it's December with the weather being as warm (and rainy) as it has been. It definitely feels much more like a cooler summer day than 5 days away from winter. The minute we get even a remotely cooler day I break out every piece of "fall/winter" attire in my closet. This dress from SheIn is the perfect fall dress.
The floral pattern and rich, jewel tone colors are a perfect way to brighten up a dreary fall day. The bell sleeves and deep v-neck give the dress a boho feel which is usually reserved for summer but works perfectly with this dress! I decided to pair it with my favorite over the knee boots even though it was 70 degrees (and rainy) out because I've been dying to wear these boots for months and no better time than mid December even if it is still warm out.
