Happy Thursday dolls! With summer right around the corner and my girl's trip to Charleston coming up in a few months (eek!) I've been keeping my eye out for pieces that would be great for a summer trip and versatile enough to wear to work or when I'm back from vacation. One of the best and worst things about vacation is making sure you pack all the right things you'll need. It's great getting to buy new things and plan your outfits for sightseeing or lounging by the pool during the day and going out for dinner and drinks at night but if you're like me, you inevitably always end up forgetting something! That's why versatile pieces are a must for me!
Happy Wednesday pretty ladies! I don't know about you but I'm glad this week is on the downward slope now. I've had an incredibly rough week which is why I've been MIA from the blog and work has been incredibly busy. If I'm absent for the rest of the week, don't hold it against me. I have a lot of things going on, I haven't been feeling well at all and I have two meetings then I have to go offsite to Tampa for a meeting so I have a feeling it'd be easier to just throw in the towel this week.

The laid back vibe, the absolutely perfect weather, the history, the sunsets, the sunrises, the drinks... you could say I love it all. But one of my favorite things about going to Key West is where we stay when we go. Happy Friday dolls! Hope everyone had a fantastic week! I had such a busy week compared to usual so I am ready for the weekend. I literally had something I had to do every day after work this week so I didn't get a single gym day in this week. But I did get my hair done, thank you for all your sweet words on Instagram! I loved the color but I wasn't sure if it was exactly what I wanted for summer but I decided I'll keep it for now and if I want to lighten it more in a few weeks I can. Happy Thursday dolls! Sorry I was MIA yesterday, I needed a bit of a break. Work has been super busy, I've had stuff to do after work every day this week and haven't gotten home until at least 8 pm and I pulled an idiot of the year award on Monday (we won't talk about what I did) but let's just say I ended up severely burning myself and really just needed to relax for a bit. Not to mention the pain meds I took completely zoned me out so it was just better for everyone that I stayed offline! But now it's time for my ONE item I got from the Lilly Pulitzer for Target collection. Which ironically enough is actually from the kids collection!I promise this will be my last time I talk about the Lilly collection!
Obviously we all know about the chaos that was the launch of the Lilly Pulitzer for Target collection on Sunday. I've chatted about it several times and so has almost every other blogger out there. I guess you could say it was kind of a big deal. I have to admit, I was disappointed when I saw women buying everything off the rack knowing that there was NO way they were fitting into some of the stuff they were picking up and knowing that they were doing it strictly to resell at a much higher cost on eBay. The thought that I should scoop up everything in sight to prevent someone else from getting it and then reselling it never crossed my mind as I was shopping. I could have easily had at least 5 cosmetic cases but to me the resell thing is more of a hassle than anything. However when I got home and saw thousands of items on eBay for WAY more than they were going for in store I definitely wondered if it really was worth it.
Happy Monday lovelies! I don't know about you but I am really wishing I had a few more quality hours with my pajamas and bed. I had a pretty busy weekend so I'd appreciate one more day to get some relaxing in. Oh well, that's what next weekend is for, right? I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Happy Thursday loves! One day closer to the weekend! It's all downhill from here, right? With the much warmer and humid temperatures (not to mention the afternoon showers) I am in a summer state of mind already. Leave it to Florida to skip right over spring and go straight to summer. But with summer fast approaching I already having beach and boat attire on the brain. Inspired by my girl Jill, I decided to put together my own "from beach to bar look".
Happy humpday babes! Halfway through the week already! I don't know about you but I'm definitely ready for the weekend. I have some fun plans this weekend so I'm super excited but I also know next Monday I'm probably going to be pretty tired. Oh well, that's what coffee is for, right? I hate talking about the weather here but it has been EXTREMELY warm and muggy here lately. It appears that age old rhyme April showers bring May flowers might be true for us... at least the April showers part. So I've been trying to wear things that keep me cool in the muggy heat but also dry rather quickly if I get caught in a rain shower.
Happy Tuesday babes! I'm on day two of my healthier eating, no snacking and more exercising plan and I not really sure how I feel about it yet. I haven't noticed much of a change in my energy or anything but it is only day two so I'm sure it will come. Any one have any suggestions on how to keep from snacking? That is the one thing I am horrible at! Ok enough with that and let's talk about clothes, shall we? I'm not going to lie, I'm probably the LAST person you should be taking festival style advice from. I love seeing all the looks from Coachella and other festivals but putting together an outfit myself... eh. I'm definitely not the best with the boho look but when I saw this top I knew I had to at least try it on.

Happy Friday lovebugs! We finally made it through the week! I swear with me thinking Tuesday was Wednesday, my entire week was all messed up and seemed to drag. I'm definitely glad it's the weekend so I can relax and get back on track! After working out two days in a row this week (after not going more than once in the past 2 months) I am dying today. My legs and arms feel like they're ready to fall off but in a good way... if that's a thing! It definitely made me realize I need to get back to the gym more. As great as a LBD is, or little black romper in my case, sometimes you just need something to spice it up!

At first I felt like this week was dragging and then yesterday I was in non-stop meetings from 10:30 am to 4 pm (I didn't even get lunch!) and I realized there are not enough hours in the day to get stuff done! This year is flying by and I need it to slow down a bit. Although I am super excited for consistent sunshine and warm days and not to mention those afternoon thunderstorms Florida is known for. Beach days are right around the corner! Kate and I have been talking about renting a boat soon and that always has me feeling like it's summer. There's just something about being out on a boat with a cocktail in hand listening to island tunes that has me pretending I'm on vacation somewhere else! Unfortunately for me, I wasn't blessed with amazing hair. In fact, I wasn't even blessed with great hair. My hair is fine, thin and pretty weak actually. Up until fairly recently I couldn't even get it to hold a curl! I've tried everything to improve my hair, get it's shine back and strengthen it and nothing has really given me great results and most of the products I've tried haven't had the best smell making me not want to continue to use it. And I'm going to be completely honest, if it's complicated I'm probably not going to stick with it. I've heard a lot of great things about organic hair products but up until recently I was hesitant about whether or not they were really that much better for you.
Happy first day of April! Hope everyone is having an amazing week so far. Sorry I was MIA yesterday. I had planned on blogging Monday night but apparently life had other plans and after getting extremely frustrated with my internet not working (apparently someone working on yard work in our neighborhood clipped the line for my internet completely knocking it out) and a few other things I just decided to throw in the towel and skip a day. Ok enough with that! Last week Old Navy was having a 30% off sale on pretty much everything in store so I decided to check it out and see what they had. Truthfully I hadn't shopped at Old Navy in quite some time but after finding that cute cargo jacket there I've checked it out more frequently and I must say, they've got a lot of really cute stuff lately! Their spring dresses are definitely on point and I am loving their sandals!
