Happy Friday and Halloween eve dolls! I've only been waiting for this weekend for over year! That's not even an exaggeration. Tomorrow Kerri and I are heading to Tampa to see Taylor Swift for her 1989 tour. I booked these tickets last October so I'm super excited for it to finally be here but I am kinda sad I don't really get to celebrate Halloween since it's one of my favorite holidays. 1 // I bought this jacket for fall and I'm obsessed with the draped front and we already know how much I'm loving that color. And you seriously can't beat the price! It's lightweight so perfect for layering and I think it's actually cuter in person than it is on the model! As soon as it cools off I'll definitely be doing a post with it!

2 // This is the perfect long sleeve striped tee for fall/winter. It's light enough for layering and the high low hem makes it so you don't have to worry about it coming up and revealing your back when sitting down. Plus it's SUPER comfy and under $20!
3 //  I wear a lot of boots and booties in the fall/winter and I'm kinda loving these wedge booties as a alternative. I know they've been around for awhile and I wasn't really a fan of them at first but I love the metallic highlights in these so I think I might give in and get them. I'm also kinda digging these black and gold linen ones too.

4 // Last week at Disney my phone started to run low on battery since I kept looking for different FastPass+ options as well as taking lots of pictures and Kerri whipped out her handy dandy slim portable charger to recharge my phone. That convinced me I need one myself, especially since I know I'm going to be taking a TON of pics and videos at the concert on Saturday. Love this gold charger since it's nice and thin but I'm also loving this charger since it plugs right into your phone and doesn't use the lightning cable.
5 // Of course my last favorite has to be the time I met Taylor Swift 2 years ago after her Red tour! REALLY hoping I'll get to meet her again but I know that was a once in a lifetime opportunity so I'm not going to hold my breath. I'm just SUPER excited to get to see her in concert again and hoping we get some awesome special guest appearances! And yes, I'm that girl who made shirts (both times) so we'll be rocking our custom glittery shirts at the concert! Can't wait to recap it with you guys next week!

Happy Friday eve lovelies! We're almost to the weekend! A full week is always rough after a short one so I'm ready for the weekend for sure. I have a busy weekend but I'm excited about it so I think that made the week drag even more. But enough about the weekend (and me wishing it was the weekend right now) let's talk fur. Ok, so really faux fur but still. A few years ago I really wanted a cute fur vest for winter but I never found one I loved. Then last year I finally found one I liked but it was towards the end of winter so I passed on it thinking it wouldn't get much use. This year I saw Katie post a pic of her rocking her fur vest and it reminded me of how badly I wanted one last year and the year before so I decided to pull the trigger and get one this year. Of course since we live in Florida and it's still 80 degrees outside I had to order it and might not be able to wear it for a few weeks but I wanted to share a few looks I'll definitely be rocking the second it gets cool enough to wear it!

The best thing about a fur vest is it can easily be dressed up or down. Not only is it fashionable but it's also functional since it can keep you warm on a chilly evening. I love how it looks with plaid and a pair of leggings but it also looks great with a sweater dress and some over the knee boots. You really can't go wrong with a faux fur vest with any outfit. Don't be surprised to see me recreating both of these looks as soon as my vest comes in!

Happy Humpday loves! Fall is in full swing and with Halloween literally right around the corner you can find pumpkin everywhere. From pumpkin spice lattes to pumpkin pie to my personal favorite; pumpkin beer! Unlike a few years ago when pumpkin beer was a strictly a run of the mill "pumpkin ale" there are now pumpkin stouts, pumpkin Shandy's and even pumpkin IPA's so there really is a pumpkin beer for everyone. With all of these new options I decided to try out a few pumpkin beers that might not be your "every day" pumpkin ale and share my findings with you. Keep in mind, I only scratched the surface of the different pumpkin beers out there so just because one of these don't sound like your "cup of tea" (or pint of beer) don't give up! So here we are, in no particular order, the pumpkin beers:

1. Uinta Punk'N: With 4% ABV this was one of the lower alcohol percentages of the pumpkin beers I tried. It had a definite pumpkin smell but was spicier than some of the other pumpkin beers I tried, this one had a true light pumpkin, earthy flavor with a slight hoppy finish.

2. Johnny Rails Pumpkin Ale: This one came in at a 6.5% ABV and is a blonde based ale so it was  lighter than some of the others and a typical pumpkin ale. It had a slight hint of pumpkin on the nose and had a strong dry pumpkin flavor that was slightly spicy.

3. Traveler Jack-O Shandy: This was one of the beers I was most intrigued by. When you think of shandy's you think of summer, so I was definitely curious about how this was going to taste. At 4.4% ABV it was on the lower alcohol level but one of the sweetest as well. You could immediately tell this was a shandy and not your typical ale. It starts sweet but you can taste the pumpkin and spices with a little hint of lemon. This almost reminded me more of a pumpkin pie than anything.

4. Rivertown Brewing Pumpkin Autumn Ale Spiced Beer: This beer has a 5.2% ABV so it's about the same as an average beer. At first I thought it tasted like a lighter Oktoberfest beer but after a few sips it started tasting more like a lightly spiced water than anything. The pumpkin flavor was very light and even the spices were hard to distinguish. Definitely the lightest of the beers I tried, it was very easy to drink but didn't have a lot to remember it by.

5. Kentucky Pumpkin Barrel Ale: This was the one I was the most excited about trying strictly for the bourbon barrel aspect of it, I was curious as to how the bourbon would mix with the pumpkin and spices. At 10% ABV this was by far the highest of the beers I tried and you could immediately taste it on the first sip.It's definitely a low pumpkin, low spice flavor but you do get the spicy, pumpkin aroma with hints of oak. The bourbon taste was present with a drier finish but not overwhelming although I will say the warmer it got the more pronounced the bourbon taste got.

6. McKenzie's Hard Cider Pumpkin Jack: This is completely different from the other pumpkin beers I tried since it's actually a cider. I'm a huge fan of all the other flavors of McKenzie's Hard Ciders so I was definitely interested by the thought of a pumpkin cider. At 5% ABV it's pretty average for a cider and it definitely had the cider appearance. The cider definitely has the pumpkin pie flavor instead of the straight pumpkin or spices you got with most of the other beers.It had a smooth, mild finish. The closest thing you can get to drinking your dessert!

Happy Tuesday loves! Hope everyone's week is off to a wonderful start! Can you believe it's the last week of October? I can't either. I swear I blinked and this month was over. I'm not at all ready for Christmas so I wouldn't be sad if the time decided to slow down just a little bit. But one of the things I love about fall and the holiday season is getting to play with new makeup looks! There's no better time to experiment with a vampy lip or a bold eye than during the holidays!

e.l.f. cosmetics has been coming out with so many amazing products lately, they make it easy to try something new to switch up your look without breaking the bank! I've been using their brushes for years now and I love them so when they reached out to me asking me if I wanted to try out some of their products for their #playbeautifully campaign I was more than happy to oblige! 

First up is the Everyday Smokey Eyeshadow Palette. You all know I love my neutral eye shadows for every day and you can't beat a good smokey eye for going out. This palette has colors that are similar to the Naked palette but I love the mix of metallics and mattes and the hues are perfect for a blended look. 

Next is the e.l.f Studio Contour Brush. Like I already said, I love the e.l.f brushes so I wasn't surprised to find that this brush was perfect. It actually picks up and holds a lot more color than the brush I was previously using so I find myself needing less product using this brush. One of the things I love about the e.l.f. brushes are how soft they are. I have sensitive skin so using brushes with harsh bristles have a tendency to make my skin irritated and these don't.

The e.l.f. Studio Blush is next on my list. I've only ever used MAC blushes before so this was a new experience entirely for me. I was extremely surprised at how pigmented the blush was. I used as much as I usually do from my MAC blush and ended up looking like a clown! It's highly pigmented and has just the right amount of shimmer to give you a glow. 

The Studio Moisturizing Lipstick was one of the products I was most excited about trying. You all know how much I love a good bold lip and this color was so perfect for fall! Like the lipstick claims, it's extremely moisturizing and it builds on itself. So if you're looking for more of a sheer just use once and then blot but if you're looking for a deep, bold coverage swipe on two or three layers and you have a much deeper coverage. 

Finally we have the Studio Lip Exfoliator. I had been interested in trying a new lip exfoliator so this came at a great time. It's one of their best sellers so I was excited to give it a try and it always seems to be sold out at my local Target so I hadn't gotten a chance to pick it up in the past. I'm such a huge believer of exfoliating before putting on dark lipstick so this is such a lifesaver. I love that it comes in a lipstick shaped tube so you can keep it with you easily if you're planning on applying lipstick at the end of the day before going out after work. I haven't used it enough to say whether it's better than the other exfoliator I was using but I'm definitely going to continue to give it a shot!

Happy Monday friends! Hope everyone had an amazing weekend! I took off on Friday to go to Disney for Kerri's birthday so while I enjoyed an extended weekend I'm still pretty exhausted this morning. We walked almost 12 miles on Friday between two parks and stayed from park open to close so it was still a long day! On that note, it's time to link up with my girl, B, for our weekend recap!


Since I was off Friday I'm going to start my weekend on Thursday night. After work I headed straight to Winter Park to meet up with Kerri, Kate and Emily for some wine flights for Kerri's birthday. It was a really nice evening out so we sat outside, chatted an people watched. I gotta tell you, people watching in Winter Park never disappoints!

Friday we got up bright and early to head down to Disney with the boys to continue Kerri's birthday celebrations! We made mimosas for the road (just me an Kerri, don't worry our driver wasn't drinking and driving!) and headed straight for Epcot. I had quite the itinerary planned for us since we decided to park hop. We were going to ride Soarin' first then run over to Magic Kingdom but 15 mins after the park opened the ride already had a 60 minute wait so we skipped it and went over to Magic Kingdom. We manage to get all of the rides I had planned with our fast passes and two extra before heading back to Epcot ahead of schedule for some food and wine!

We decided to try to hit up a bunch of the countries we missed last time, only repeating Germany because we didn't get food from Germany last time and I was dying to try the bratwurst in a pretzel bun. It was worth it. I managed to bump into a friend from college and I got to meet Amanda from Kids & Cabernet! Sadly we failed on taking a picture but we decided that wouldn't be the last time we meet up!

Saturday we were supposed to go to the UCF game for homecoming but it was a noon kickoff and after walking 12 miles the day before and not getting home until late we decided to skip it and just watch on tv. That ended up being a wise choice since UCF lost. Again. But I made a pretty awesome brunch spread so at least we got to eat yummy food while watching!

Sunday was spent relaxing, running errands and making chicken and dumplings. Nothing overly exciting but it was nice to just sit down and relax.

Happy Thursday loves! It's technically my Friday so I'm super excited! And before I start today's post I wanted to give a huge shout out to my bestie, Kerri. It's her birthday!!! Ok, now onto the post, yesterday was super busy at work so it will be nice to have some extra down time this weekend to catch up and relax. Speaking of, sorry for my absence yesterday. It was hectic and my phone kept getting used for commercial and photography shots so responding to emails wasn't really an option. So, earlier this week we got another little sneak peek of fall weather so I took full advantage and busted out the destroyed skinny jeans and booties. You might remember these booties from a Friday Favorites post I did a few weeks ago and thanks to some encouragement from you guys I finally broke down and got them! Man am I glad I did too! They are so comfy and cute and I love the color!

Ok, enough about the booties. Lately I've been loving the more slightly destroyed denim look which is odd for me since until recently I didn't even like destroyed denim at all. But I've really been digging the "busted knee" destroyed look especially but with me being so short I was having a hard time finding a pair that I really loved that weren't $200+. Don't get me wrong, I am all about spending some money on a good pair of jeans but I just had a hard time justifying spending that much on a pair that were already ripped. I'm sure that sounds silly, especially coming from a "fashion" blogger but it's true! And ignore my awful hair in this post, it was super windy and my hair was not cooperating!

Happy actual Humpday! I wasn't going to post today since I had a massive headache last night and I have quite the busy day ahead of me, I have a meeting from 9:30 to 10:30 am, then one from 10:30 am to noon and then at 12:30 I have to leave to head over to our photo/video shoot location where I'll be the remainder of the day. So it's going to be quite the busy day but after seeing all these fun fall about me posts I had to jump in and do one myself! Especially since fall is my favorite season, even if we don't get much of one around here. 

Favorite Candle Scent -  I love pretty much all fall scents from pumpkin to cinnamon apple but this year I've been loving this Vanilla Pumpkin Marshmallow candle. It's a little sweet, a little pumpkin-y and all around delicious. But some of my favorite candles are the WoodWick candles and I always get Amber & Firelight or Evening Bonfire for fall.

Best Fragrance For Fall - If I switch up my scent from my usual Dior, I like to go with something a bit more warm for fall/winter like Michael Kors Sexy Amber.

Coffee, Tea or Hot Chocolate? - All of the above!  I'm not usually a hot coffee fan except for a peppermint or white chocolate mocha but I love tea and hot chocolate. 

Favorite Thanksgiving Food - Um all of it? Darn it, why is this so hard? I'm a sucker for turkey and mashed potatoes so if I had to choose, that for sure. I'm all about those leftovers too!

What is the Best Fall Memory You Have? - When I lived in Cincinnati one of my close friends owned a farm and her family would always have a big fall festival with a pumpkin patch, horse rides fall food, etc. I'd always go hang out with her and we'd eat apple cider donuts, drink apple cider and ride horses while watching everyone at the fall festival.

Favorite Type of Pie - Umm... the only pie I actually like is key lime pie haha! And that is so not fall

Most Worn Sweater - Crazy enough I don't have any pictures (that I can remember) of my favorite sweater but last year I bought a chunky cable knit sweater from American Eagle that is so soft and cozy. This one is extremely similar to it but with zippers on the side.

What is Autumn Like Where You Live? - Umm well it really depends. It can be in the upper 80's to low 90's during the day or it can be low 80's to upper 70's during the day with mid to low 60's at night. There have been a few years where it's been pretty chilly, especially at night so it's hard to say.

Football Games or Jumping in Leaf Piles? - Football games all the way.

What Song Really Gets You in the Fall Spirit? - Ummm... "Come, Little Children" from Hocus Pocus? Mainly because it's my favorite Halloween movie and Sarah Jessica Parker. Duh.

Which Makeup Trend: Dark Lips or Winged Liner? - I have yet to master the winged liner so bring on the dark, vampy lips!

Is Pumpkin Spice Worth All the Hype? - Not in my opinion but to each their own! 

Favorite Fall TV Show - Do I really have to choose just one?! Right now I'm loving Reign because Mary has become such a  bad ass this season!

Combat Boots or Uggs? - Sorry Ker, but I'm going with Uggs. I can't pull off combat boots.

Skinny Jeans or Leggings? - Can jeggings be an option? Oh who am I kidding. I'd live in leggings if it was appropriate. I always choose comfy.

Halloween: Yay or Nay? - Um YAY! I LOVE Halloween! I love haunted houses, getting dressed up, the candy, and everything else that comes along with Halloween.

Happy Humpday lovelies! Ok, so it's not really Humpday but it is for me since I'm off on Friday! If you follow me in Snapchat {@pamelanicole84} you already saw this outfit over the weekend, I wore this to the Rocky Water Brew Festival in Melbourne on Saturday. Excuse the lack of pictures, we did these at the end of the Brew Fest and we were so full, tired and hot that I really didn't feel like taking a ton of pictures so I had like 12 to choose from. I wish we would have gotten to the fest a little earlier to take pictures around the area but hey, I made it work, right? 

It was supposed to only be a high of 82 and sunny on Saturday so I figured I could get away with something with sleeves and not be too hot. I was a little wrong there, I didn't take into consideration the hundreds to thousands of people all in one small area making the circulation pretty much nonexistent but I tried not to complain. I really wanted to wear jeans but unfortunately we get like one day where jeans are comfortable and then it's 5 days of shorts weather again. I don't mind the heat but it's hard when I'm still wearing summer clothes and everyone up north is rocking sweaters and scarves! I did try to make my outfit more fall feeling by throwing on some booties and my favorite wool floppy hat. To be completely honest, the hat was probably the best choice out of my entire outfit. It kept the sun off my face and kept my face and shoulders from getting burnt! The shirt was lightweight enough where I wasn't too awfully hot and it's flowy enough to hide the extra 35 lbs I swear I had to have gained from all the beer and food we consumed!

Happy Monday loves! I hope everyone had an amazing weekend! I really only did something on Saturday but I'm still tired today. Mondays are rough. And the weather is supposed to be gorgeous today so I'm really wishing I was outside enjoying it instead of stuck inside but oh well.  I definitely wish I didn't have to be an adult some days but it could definitely be worse! Ok, enough complaining, let's link up with my girl, Biana, for our weekend recap. 

Like I said, Friday was pretty uneventful. I ran some errands after work for work (if that makes sense) then just went home and relaxed. I made cilantro lime chicken for dinner and it was amazing! I also enjoyed a glass of rose while watching Reign before heading to bed. 

Saturday me, Kerri and the boys went back my high school hometown of Melbourne for the Rocky Water Brew Fest. This is the second year of the festival and I have to admit, it was a huge success. Over 30 different local breweries plus some food trucks. I'm super proud of how successful this event was because one of my high school friends happens to be the organizer of the event. He also owns his own brewery so not only did he have a tent there but he also ran the show. Definitely impressive. 

If you're ever in Melbourne, FL be sure to stop by Intracostal Brewing Company! They have amazing brews (the last one on the board that I'm covering is a S'mores Stout) and if you happen to notice the purse hooks under the bar, that would be my contribution to the bar. You're welcome. ;) 

After the festival we headed over to a restaurant on the river and sat outside and had a drink and some appetizers. Then we headed out beach side to sit by the water and enjoy the ocean for a bit. I got to see the bio luminescence for the first time ever which was pretty cool. We definitely stayed out way later than I planned but since I don't get over there very often it was ok. 

Sunday I ran some errands, went grocery shopping, watched the Bengals win AGAIN (6-0 baby! WHO DEY!) and made the lovely Katie's tomato tortellini soup. It was delicious! I failed on taking a picture of it because I was so hungry and it smelled amazing. The only thing I did differently from her was I added some Italian sausage to it. And that's my weekend in a nutshell! Excuse me while I go refill my coffee cup...
