Leopard print is my favorite neutral ;) I actually never used to be a huge fan of animal prints but as I got older I've definitely started to appreciate a good animal print (usually as just an accent piece) as long as it isn't in crazy colors. Adding leopard print shoes or a clutch is a great way to spice up an outfit without going too crazy. I found this leopard print maxi dress at H&M and I loved the simplicity and casualness of it but I felt it was too much leopard for me so I threw on a cream colored sweater to break it up a bit. Since its cooler out the sweater over top works really well right now any way. I decided to dress it up a bit by pairing it with black heeled booties and this fun floppy wool hat also from H&M. To top off the look I added some gold jewelry and a bold red lip. I'm super excited for the warmer season to get here so I can start trying out new bold lipstick colors and of course hitting up the beach!

Ok, so it's not quite 50 Shades of Gray (is any one going to see that when it comes out February 14th??) but I did decide to go a bit monochrome with this outfit. I love faux leather so when I saw this 3/4 length faux leather sleeve sweater from H&M I immediately loved it. It's a lightweight sweater so it definitely isn't the best for those super chilly days but it's perfect for the Florida "winters" and a spring or fall day up north. I decided to continue with the faux leather look by pairing the sweater with my favorite faux fur leggings and a black and white aztec infinity scarf my mom got me for Christmas. I even went monochrome with my accessories, grabbing my gray purse and black and gold jewelry to go with it so my only pop of color was from my red lipstick (totally channeling my inner Taylor Swift here). I got this lipstick in one of my BirchBoxes and I absolutely love it. It's a matte finish with super vibrant hues that stays on forever! Even when I got home and wiped it off my lips were still slightly tinted red. Definitely a recommendation if you don't want to reapply your lipstick throughout the night!

I'm not really one to sport a crop top during winter (actually I rarely sport them at all) but I saw this crop top at Target and I couldn't resist! The colors and print are so fun and we all know I can resist anything with sequins. The skirt is actually supposed to be paired with a sequin pencil skirt (also from Target and also equally amazing) but they didn't have the skirt in my size and I figured I could pair the top with something more casual than a sequin skirt. I bought this simple black bandage skirt from Sophie & Trey months ago and I've really found it's the perfect skirt for almost any top so I figured why not try it out with this. It wasn't AS cute as it would have been with the sequin skirt (because seriously, anything with sequins is pretty much always cuter!) but I was still pretty happy with how it looked together. I love that the top is a t-shirt crop top so its comfy and can be casual or dressy. I can't wait until spring when I can pair it with something else and not freeze my butt off! ;)

When Sophie & Trey posted this shirt on their Facebook page I HAD to have it. I literally left work that day and went straight to Tria to get it because I knew that if I waited until the weekend it wouldn't be there. Tria, Sophie & Trey and 4th & Ocean only get a few sizes of each item in which is part of the reason I love it but also a reason I hate it because I know I have to get there fast if I see something I absolutely have to have!
I really felt this shirt was something that could be worn day to night which is why I decided to do a two part blog post on it showing how I wore it for day (to work) and night (out to dinner). I work at a pretty casual place so dressing up is a rare occasion for me, usually jeans, flip flops and a tank top are the average work wear (not that I'm complaining because it's SO much easier to get work done when you're comfy!) so it's nice to mix it up every once in awhile and throw on a nice shirt and a pair of heels. Even if I am still sporting jeans... ;) I'm still not sold on this lipstick though. It was a free sample I got from Mary Kay that was a bright pink but almost looks TOO bright in pictures in my opinion. It doesn't quite look as bright in person (in my opinion) but it's definitely not something I'm used to wearing.
Check out tomorrow's post to see how I took this adorable top from day to night!

Blue is my favorite color so I was immediately drawn to this blue and white striped tank with neon yellow trim. It's cute, casual and comfy and looks great with jeans or shorts. Oh and did I mention I found it at Marshall's? I almost never find any thing at Marshall's because usually by the time I get down there everything in my size is already picked over but I got lucky and found a few things this time! I decided to pair this tank with a pair of white Hollister skinny jeans and a sheer navy kimono from Tobi. To top off the look I threw on a pair of gold wedges (ironically names the Pamela wedges) from Target and some of my favorite layering pieces; my Dogeared State of Mind (Ohio) necklace and my sideways anchor necklace from 4th and Ocean. How do you feel about the nautical trend? Is it something you'd try or something you wish would be over?
