Happy humpday babes! Can we talk about how I'm posting on a Wednesday for the first time in like a month? Crazy right? And speaking of, where the heck did the time go? I'm still sitting over here trying to figure out how it's already almost October. It's officially the start of my favorite season but as always, it takes awhile for Florida to really get into the swing of fall.
Despite the ever persistent heat, I've been trying to spend as much time outside as possible and incorporate as much "fall" into my wardrobe as I can. My booties are on constant repeat as well as a flannel shirt tied around my waist almost at all times. This outfit has me feeling like fall with the colors but still perfect for the close to 90 degree (if not higher) days. I actually have this Free People skirt in three colors now and I don't see myself not scooping it up in at least one or two other colors before the end of the year. It's super stretchy and comfortable and extremely flattering. This tank is the perfect basic layering piece for summer to fall. It's a great price point and looks adorable with almost everything. As someone who isn't a huge "pink" person, I was surprised how much I loved this blush and burgundy combo.

 Happy Monday friends! I really want to thank you all for the love and support you've shown me the past few weeks. I know I've been extremely vague about what's going on and only a handful of you know the whole story but we've recently gotten some good news so I finally feel like I can relax a bit and get somewhat back to normal. We're still not completely out of the woods but it could be worse so I'm definitely appreciative and all of your thoughts and prayers have definitely helped. But in the meantime, can we talk about how much I am missing this view? Being by the beach is by far my happy place and being a Floridian, I live near some of the prettiest beaches in the country

Happy Monday babes! Thanks for all the support and understanding last week. Things are still kinda up in the air for now but I'm trying to still have some fun and enjoy things when I can and Friday was one of those days. As annual passholders at Universal Studios, we decided to get the Frequent Fear Pass to attend Universal's Halloween Horror Nights. Friday was the first night of the event so we hopped on over after work to check it out. 

If you don't know, I'm a huge scaredy cat. I'm not really a fan of scary movies, I tend to be a bit nervous in the dark and I jump at almost everything so going to Halloween Horror Nights doesn't really seem like my thing but I actually love it.  It's scary but in a fun way and once I'm out of a house, it's more laughing than being scared. This year's theme is 80's horror so it has a bit more of a cheesy/tacky/slasher theme but it was still super fun. 

There are 10 houses this year and 5 scare zones. We only ended up making it through 3 houses and 4 scare zones on Friday but thanks to being right down the road and having our passes, we can easily go back after work to do the rest. The 3 we ended up going through were Slaughter Sinema, Dead Exposure: Patient Zero and Scary Tales: Deadly Ever After. Out of those 3, Dead Exposure was probably my favorite just due to the effects in the house. There are a lot of lighting effects that make your mind play tricks on you and it's hard to tell what's real and what's fake. Scary Tales was really fun and definitely my second favorite so far. It was interesting to see some of your favorite fairy tales be turned into something sinister and I have to admit, they got me good at the end. 

I can't wait to go back and check out the other houses. Poltergeist and of course Stranger Things are the two I'm looking forward to the most but both of those houses had over 100 minute waits on Friday so I'll have to check each of those out right away on another day.

Happy Monday friends! I hate that I've been away so long but I want to give you a heads up that I am going through a lot in my personal life right now and it's some pretty serious stuff that I'm not quite ready to share in the blogging world. I'm going to do my best to continue to post when I can but if I am slow to respond or if I don't always comment back, it's has nothing to do with you and I promise I still love you all! Kerri and I were lucky enough to get to get away for a night to attend a blogger bash at a newly renovated hotel in St. Pete Beach. We had this planned for awhile and with everything going on, I almost canceled but I decided to go any way and I'm glad I did because it was the perfect way to relax and enjoy some time with my bestie.
