Hey Wednesday! Oh how I wish it were actually Friday and not Wednesday but the week is half over today so I'll take it. Although when does anyone not wish it were Friday, am I right? My mind is completely blown that this is the last week of September. I love all the things fall/October brings so I'm definitely ready for it. I've already started embracing some fall trends and fall floral is definitely one of them. 

I'm not usually much of a floral print person but I love the darker floral prints that usually come about in fall. If you look in my closet you'll see that there isn't a whole lot of color, in fact I recently bought two pink shirts bringing my overall pink closet total to 4 things. Crazy right? So every time I buy a floral print I actually am a little proud of myself that I'm adding something other than black, gray or white. That's why I immediately scooped up this top when I saw it. Off the shoulder, flowy and the perfect fall floral print, how could I not have it? I first wore this top out to brunch with Kerri a few weeks ago but we were having such a good time we failed to take any pictures so when I wore it out again this weekend I knew I had take some pictures in it before it was sold out. It looks great with jeans and shorts and I love that it's dressy enough to go out to a nice dinner but casual enough to wear out for drinks. I can honestly say that this top will be a staple in my closet this fall!

Happy first Monday of fall friends! Of course it definitely doesn't feel like fall yet here but I'm embracing all the fall decor and rocking the fall lip colors and nail colors until the weather matches. Fall used to be my favorite season when I lived up north so I'm definitely missing it now that I don't really get a fall. But just because I don't actually get a fall doesn't mean I can't do fall things. I started making my list of fall activities I want to do this weekend and I've definitely got a good one going. Speaking of the weekend, let's hop right into my weekend recap, shall we? 

I actually had a pretty relaxing weekend which was much needed after feeling like I've been constantly on the go lately. Since it was pretty uneventful, I'm starting "the weekend" on Thursday. After work Thursday I headed straight to my girl Kerri's house to head downtown for the Mumford and Sons concert. I've been dying to see Mumford in concert for years so when Kerri asked me if I wanted to go it was pretty much a no brainer. They definitely did not disappoint even though they didn't play my favorite song. 

Friday was a rough day at work from being out later than usual the night before. But I rallied and still made it out for a little happy hour after work before heading home, catching up on some tv and calling it a night. 

Saturday was the day of errands and shopping. I managed to get all my errands in and cleaned the house before the UCF game started so I got to sit back, relax and enjoy the game without having anything to worry about. UCF hasn't played since week 1 thanks to the hurricane so I was a little worried but we managed to beat Maryland 38-10 so I'm feeling pretty good about the season.

Sundays are for mimosas so of course I headed out and had a few before heading home and binge watched some tv. I recently finished Stranger Things (which if you haven't seen it, SO good!) so Kerri convinced me to start Riverdale and it's definitely addicting. I have a feeling it won't take me long to get through it which is perfect since the new season is right around the corner. 

And that was my weekend in a nutshell. Like I said, nothing overly exciting but it's nice to have those relaxing weekends every once in awhile. Hope everyone has a fantastic week!

Oh hey halfway day! While I'm super excited the week is half over, I'm definitely on high alert over Hurricane Maria. There's still a lot of uncertainty over her path right now so I'm trying not to get too stressed over it but really? What is with this storm season? Ok enough of that. On a positive note, Kerri and I are headed to see Mumford and Sons tomorrow so that should be pretty awesome! Although I'm really wishing my work from home day was this Friday instead of last because I have a feeling Friday is going to be rough.
Florida still hasn't gotten the memo fall is starting tomorrow so I've been super jealous of everyone's cozy fall outfits while I'm over here sweating to death if I try to wear jeans. It actually makes me laugh when I see Florida bloggers trying to make fall happen so they can increase the RS sales because I know that A. Not only did they not actually wear that outfit anywhere because if they did, they'd probably have heatstroke and B. They probably almost passed out just taking the pictures! That's why you see me over here still rocking tank tops and shorts until it's not 85 degrees with 90% humidity. Speaking of tank tops, I wore this outfit out for happy hour on Friday evening and this might be my new favorite tank. The flowy chiffon material is lightweight and comfy and I love the ruffles on the top and down the sides. It's no secret that pink is my least favorite color but blush is definitely growing on me! I'll admit, this outfit looks far more appropriate for spring than fall but I've never been one to stick to trends anyway! Hope everyone has a fantastic rest of the week! Do me a favor send all the bad juju to Hurricane Maria to keep her away, I'm pretty sure none of us are ready for another storm.

Happy Monday babes! So thanks to Hurricane Irma and Labor Day some of my posts are a little delayed, this being one of them. Obviously I wasn't in Cincinnati again over the weekend (I wish!) but I did want to share another brewery from Cincinnati's Over-the-Rhine Brewery District, this time being Christian Moerlein Brewing Company. Moerlein Lager House is one of my favorite restaurant spots in Cincinnati so while I have had Moerlein beer before, this year was my first time to the brewery.

It's been awhile but if you remember my first Cincinnati brewery post, you'll remember I talked about Rhinegeist, which is now located in the old Christian Moerlein Brewing Company location. Started in 1853 and the first to certifiable pass the strict Reinheitsgebot Bavarian Purity Law of 1516, Moerlein brews some of my favorite beers in Cincy. The current brewery is located in the old Husman Potato Chip Factory which honestly, doesn't look like much, especially not compared to the Rhingeist location, but I mean... beer, right? If you're ever in Cincy and want to check out Moerlein, I'd suggest to skip the brewery and go to Moerlein Lager House which has AMAZING views of the Ohio River, my favorite bridge, The John Roebling Suspension Bridge, and it's located where the old Reds Stadium was so when you walk in, you can still see the spot of the former home plate. Oh and if you're there, get the Seven Hefeweizen. You can thank me later.

Happy Friday friends! My days are all messed up so in some ways it feels like it should definitely be Friday and in others I'm completely confused. Just yesterday I requested a meeting room at work for August 18th... I mean seriously, when did it turn into September? I am definitely looking forward to a weekend of somewhat normalcy after the past week or so of craziness from Hurricane Irma. I'm also definitely looking forward to some cooler weather. Irma brought a few days of slightly cooler, less humid weather and it got me seriously in the fall fashion mood. So today I'm sharing some of my current fall favs!

1 // OBSESSED with this sweater. I don't usually spend this much on an article of clothing (purse, sunglasses, shoes... yes but clothes, no way) but this sweater is so cute, so comfy and seriously goes with everything. I need it in my life.

2 // I live in Florida so boots are rarely needed but I can justify booties. In fact, it's not even below 80 yet and I've already busted out my open toed booties but these lovelies are definitely on my must-have list for this fall!
3 // Usually I love breaking out the dark, bold lip colors for fall but I have officially found the perfect fall nude for any skin color and I had to share it with you! Velvet Teddy is a matte beige nude with a bit of a rose undertone, perfect for the summer to fall transition!
4 // These long sleeve, twist hem tees are perfect for layering or by themselves. They are so soft and comfortable and come in 6 different colors! They're currently on sale for less than $30 so I will definitely be scooping up a few more of these myself!
5 // How perfect is this suede, all black crossbody? I'm kind of obsessed.  Since getting my Louis Vuitton Neverfull I rarely use anything but it or the little clutch that came with it but these small crossbody bags are perfect for being out and about which I plan on doing much more of now that the weather will hopefully be cooling off here.
6 // I seriously need this sweatshirt. Not even kidding, it needs to get in my closet immediately. SO cute and so perfect for me. And let's be real, I'll be breakout out the sweaters and sweatshirts WAY before I need to break out a jacket. Although, knowing me, I'll break out the jackets way before I need to any way.
7 // Speaking of jackets, this one is so perfect for the summer to fall transition. I can't decide whether I like it better in the olive or the blush but for the price, I might just get both!

Wow. It feels like I've been away from this little blog space of mine for ages. To be completely honest, it's hard to even remember what day of the week it is after the past week so the fact I remembered to post today is a win in my book! I don't think I've ever spent as much time watching the news as I did this past week prepping for Hurricane Irma. We got incredibly lucky and not only did the hurricane decrease in intensity before reaching us, but my little bubble of Florida remained relatively unscathed. 

Don't get me wrong, Hurricane Irma still hit Florida with a huge force and I'm still waiting to find out how one of my favorite places in the world, Key West, fared but I am well aware it could have been much, much worse for us. But after 51 tornado warnings, 9 inches of rain in less than a 24 hour period, 900k people without power, 80+ mph winds, etc Orlando is still standing strong. Sometimes it amazes me just how resilient my little city is. 

Ok, enough serious talk, let's talk about this outfit. My favorite tank, my favorite jacket and my favorite sneakers all in one comfy, cute outfit? Yes please! I finally splurged on this jacket last year and I've gotten SO much use out of it since then, I don't regret the purchase for a second. It's lightweight enough to work on a warm fall day or a cool spring day but also waterproof and perfect for layering making it a great jacket for cooler/rainy weather. Unfortunately the super cool sticker on it doesn't come with the jacket... it's actually a leftover sticker from being VIP to go behind the scenes to meet the penguins with my godfather while I was in Cincy. I honestly totally forgot it was on there when I took these pictures and had to laugh when I saw it come up in the pictures!
