Weekending
6/15/2015
Happy Monday love bugs! Hope everyone had an amazing weekend! I had a pretty uneventful weekend so this should be pretty short. Last weekend was definitely way more eventful but I'm definitely not complaining because I could totally use a nice relaxing weekend and my birthday is in two weeks so I'm sure the next two weekends will be busy. Let's link up with my love Biana for our weekend recap, shall we?
Friday I had my video shoot all day so by the time I got home I was pretty exhausted so I just relaxed and watched a movie. I got off early so you'd think I'd have gotten a chance to recover but nope, I was definitely ready for pajamas and my couch!
Saturday I went out to the pool for a bit. It was nice to get to read and relax by the pool instead of running around doing things.
Saturday night I hung out with the boys and made some cocktails from our menu on Friday and played Wii, definitely and nice and low key evening. It's been awhile since I had one of those!
Sunday I ran some errands before heading out to lunch/brunch where I ran into some good friends so it turned into a giant lunch/brunch fest. Hello unlimited mimosas! :) Ok, so I didn't order the unlimited mimosas but they did and the waitress totally let me steal off of theirs.
After brunch we decided to head over to the movie theater (walking distance) and see Jurassic World. Yup, I've been obsessed with this movie series for 22 years so I was super excited. Thank goodness you can drink in the movie theater because the movie wasn't that great. It was good but the plot kinda sucked... oh well. I mean, how many times can you go back to the same dangerous park? Right? Although spoiler alert, they totally have it set up for another one. Boo. Oh and I learned 3D movies are not worth it. In my opinion.
Hope everyone has a fantastic week! I'm out the second half of the day. For any golf fans out there... I'm going to a brewery tour lead by Freddie Jacobson... yup, crazy, right? I'll be recapping that later this week, hopefully!!

Looks like a wonderful weekend, lady. Glad you were able to get some rest after your super busy week. I grabbed some pool time too and it was fabulous. I love getting a tan :)! Have a fabulous Monday, beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWe saw Jurassic World too...so much fun! Sounds like you had an awesome weekend!
ReplyDeleteI think you deserved the two low key nights you had!! my friday night was very similar - I just can't hang like I used to!! I wasn't planning on seeing Jurassic Park, but I can see how 3D would be a waste...unless it really felt like they were coming after you lol!! Happy Monday love! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteSound like a great low key weekend! Stinks about Jurassic Park, but you're right, how many times can you go back without expecting the same outcome!

Looks like you started the weekend well (resting and relaxing after your busy week) and then packed in some good, low key fun! We had friends who wanted to go see Jurassic Park with us but I wasn't home yet when they wanted to go so we missed out, much to my husband's dismay lol. Bummed to hear it's not as good, but like you said, I'm not surprised when they keep going back to the same dang park lol.
ReplyDeleteHave a great Monday, friend!
Low key weekend with pool time and good drinks? Sounds like a fantastic weekend :) Hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteLow key weekends that involve great food, drinks and sun.....you know I'm 100% down with all of that!
ReplyDeleteYour weekend looks amazing! Love that you were able to relax, but the food and drinks you enjoyed look amazing! And, unlimited mimosas, yum! P.S. I totally agree about 3-D movies! xo
ReplyDeleteI'm obsessed with Jurassic Park too! My husband had never seen them so we recently watched them all and they are all kind of cheesy honestly lol. We are seeing the newest one this week so I'm just going to go in with low expectations and hopefully it will be better!! Looks like you had a super relaxing weekend - YAY!
ReplyDeleteYay for relaxing weekends, they are definitely good for the soul. Pool time, mimosas, and the movies sound like my kinda weekend. H wants to go see Jurassic World, I told him to go ahead I'll be in the theater next door watching Entourage and I'll wait for it on Netflix ;-)
ReplyDeleteHave fun at the brewery tour!
sounds like a great weekend! i had a little pool time myself.
ReplyDeleteYour job looks so fun! Sipping cocktails and filming videos learning how to make them? Awesome! I love running into friends and letting it go from there! I'm sorry JP wasn't as good as you hoped, you have been so excited for it. At least Chris Pratt is hot!!
ReplyDeleteI heard Jurassic World wasn't too good. Although it made billions in the box office this weekend! Fun weekend!

Ah that's a shame you didn't like the movie, but pretty cool that the theater serves alcohol. Sounds like such a fun weekend regardless!

You're the second person I've heard who didn't really like Jurassic World. I mean, I'm still going to see it, but at least I won't have super high hopes. Looks like a great, relaxing weekend!
ReplyDeleteGreat weekend, we were planning to watch Jurassic World but I think we changed our plan. <3

Glad you got the low key weekend that you were hoping for! That's disappointing about Jurassic World, but I'm still hoping to see it next weekend - I love Chris Pratt, regardless!

Whatever that grapefruit cocktail is, I want one! It looks so refreshing!
ReplyDeleteSounds like the perfect weekend!! So glad you got to have some down time and relax! Man, I forgot what it's like to read at the pool... ha ha!! That's too bad you didn't love the new Jurassic movie! I've been hearing the best reviews!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fab weekend, love low key weekend, they are the best. My friend didn't like the new Jurassic Park movie either. I have never even seen the first one.
ReplyDeleteSometimes a super low key Friday night is exactly what's needed :) Sounds like a fun weekend! Still debating on whether to see Jurassic World. I feel like I should since those were such popular movies growing up but I'm worried they'll ruin it :/

That drink looks amazing and matches your outfit so well too! Weekends like this are a new favorite of mine – I love the crazy busy ones but am really loving not being on to go all the time!

ReplyDeletewhat a great weekend, and look at that pizza! Yum!
ReplyDeleteBummer about the movie! But seriously sounds like an awesome, fun filled weekend! Pool time is always a must!
ReplyDeleteStinks about the movie, but it sounds like the rest of your weekend was pretty good! :-)
ReplyDeleteSometimes a relaxing weekend ends up being the best weekend! Bummer that Jurassic World wasn't very good - I've heard the same thing from a few people now!
ReplyDeleteCheers!

Mmmm unlimited mimosas sound fabulous...especially when you got some even though you didn't order them! Yay for some Wii time!!! I wanted to get in some time with the Wii but didn't get a chance to. I agree with you, 3D movies are overrated. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI always get jealous of your pool pics. I clearly need to either get a pool or live near one. Also need to go see Jurassic world!
ReplyDeleteOh no, I've been really pumped to see Jurassic World! I hate that you didn't love it!!! I am still antsy to see it though, I'll let ya know what I think! ;) I actually don't love 3d movies either though, the glasses get on my nerves haha
ReplyDeleteGreat weekend! Unlimited mimosas?! Yes please!
ReplyDeleteI've been obsessed with Jurassic Park forever too (okay, maybe not since it came out since I was 3, but it was played many times throughout my childhood because of my older brothers). I saw Jurassic World and I loved it! I mean, obviously not as good as the original because nothing ever could be, but I really liked it. I also think 3D movies are kind of eh. We saw this in 3D and I didn't really notice much difference. And I really hope they don't make another Jurassic movie because I can't see how it could be any good.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a great weekend! The pizza looks delicious!
