Oh hey Wednesday, where did you come from? Is it just me or is this week kinda flying by? I'm not complaining but I'm definitely a bit surprised by it. I'm in dire need of a vacation since I technically haven't had one yet this year. Ok, not even technically, I actually haven't had a vacation at all this year  since we didn't make our annual trip down to the Keys so I think I'm plenty overdue. 

This dress the reason I have vacation on the brain. It's so perfect to throw on and look cute but still be cool in the summer weather and it'd be perfect for walking around, sightseeing and of course grabbing a bite to eat and a drink or two! I wore this dress out for my birthday and it couldn't have been any more perfect. It was the right amount of dressy without making me look like I was trying too hard and considering we spent a lot of time outside, it was perfect for keeping cool. Amuse Society is quickly becoming one of my favorite "boho" brands. I'm pretty sure there's at least 5 things of theirs I want right now... sorry bank account!

Because it is!! Happy Thursday everyone and happy birthday to me! Even though I usually don't post on Thursday, I thought it would be fun to post today and share some facts about me that you may or may not know (depending on how well you know me and how long you've been reading the blog). I love getting to read a little more about other bloggers I follow so I thought my birthday would be a great time to share some random facts about me while I'm out sipping champs... or tequila. Who knows? ;)

1 // I was born on June 29th but my due date was actually July 4th. 

2 // I was born in Cincinnati, Ohio but moved to Florida when I was in high school. I've lived in Florida now a lot longer than I lived in Ohio so I definitely consider myself a Florida girl and wouldn't move back for anything but I try to go back regularly to visit. In the summer of course.

3 // I love doing adventurous things and I've never met a roller coaster I wouldn't go on (even after getting stuck at the very top of Sheikra for 2 hours, you can read about that fiasco here) but I am afraid of heights. You can't pay me enough to walk over to the edge of a crazy steep drop off but ask me to jump out of a plane? No problem.

4 // Despite being super petite (only 5'1" and about 100 lbs), I will eat most people under the table. I'm the worst at all you can eat brunches because I will literally keep going back until I can't move... which is exactly what I'm doing to celebrate my birthday on Saturday. Wish me luck. Kerri and Kate, feel free to stop me when I try to go back for 5ths...

5 // I love to travel but I hate the process of traveling. Getting to the airport and getting through checkpoint security gives me so much anxiety but once I'm on board the plane I'm perfectly fine.

6 // I've been to 23 states, Mexico, the Bahamas, Grand Cayman, Jamaica, Alberta Canada, Switzerland, France, Germany and England (multiple times).

{Yes, I know my ears look huge here and no, it is not an illusion. LOL}
7 // I graduated with a degree in Communications and I've been in Digital Marketing for almost 10 years.

8 // I absolutely love animals (my dog is pretty much my life) but penguins are my favorite after him. 

9 //   By the water is my happy place. I prefer the beach but I'd settle for a lake or river. There is nothing more relaxing to me than planting my butt in the sand and listening to the waves crash in.

10 // The first "crush" I can ever remember was David Bowie as Jareth in Labyrinth. I still have a soft spot when I hear "Everything I've done, I've done for you. I move the stars for no one" or when I hear the song "As the World Falls Down". *sigh*
11 // On my downtime I love to read. I could spend all day in a hammock with a good book and be more than perfectly content.
12 // When I was in middle school I decided to join the school band. When deciding on what instrument I was going to play several people tried pushing me towards the flute or the clarinet because it "fit my size" but that just made me rebel so I decided to play the alto saxophone. Despite the fact it was almost as big as I was, I was actually really good and ended up being first chair and winning several state awards. Of course I gave it up to eventually be a cheerleader...*insert eye roll here*
13 // Despite having a "fashion" blog, I don't consider myself "fashionable" at all. My style is mostly laid back and casual. Even though every outfit you see on my blog is an outfit I wore out somewhere at sometime, you can find me most often wearing jeans and a tee or tank top.
14 // I was prom princess but I went to my senior prom dateless thanks to my boyfriend at the time being a complete jerk and taking his ex. For anyone wondering, don't worry I dumped him.
15 // The first roller coaster I ever rode was the Vortex at King's Island in Ohio. I was immediately addicted but wasn't able to ride a lot of the "scarier" roller coasters because of how small I was.
16 // I love history, art and architecture, especially European, even though I hated my history classes in school.
17 // I love spicy food. When I eat Thai I always order it Thai hot and I always get looks like I'm crazy but it is so good.
18 // I have an obsession with sunglasses. Like borderline unhealthy obsession. Classic Ray-Ban's are by far my favorite and one could ask "how many pairs of Ray-Ban Wayfarers or Aviators does one really need?" and my answer would be "all of them".
19 //I hate doing cardio but I love working out. It's such a great release for stress and tension. And when I absolutely have to do cardio I love getting outside and running. You can't pay me to run on a treadmill but I'll begrudgingly run outside.
20 // I broke my arm pretty bad as a kid which left me double jointed in the elbow/wrist. It's hard to describe what I can do but let's just say it's a great party trick and people always try it after they see me do it...and they all fail ;)

It's my birthday! I'm taking the day off from blogging to enjoy my day, eat LOTS of unhealthy food and just relax! Ok, you got me. And maybe enjoy a glass of bubbly or a margarita, who knows ;) It sucks having your actual birthday in the middle of the week but at least I got to enjoy some celebrating over last weekend and this weekend is a three day weekend so I really can't complain! Hope everyone has a fabulous day!

Happy last week of June friends! This also happens to be my birthday week, woohoo! Although I did the majority of my birthday celebrating over the weekend since my birthday falls on a Wednesday this year. Boo. Is anyone else in shock that June is already almost over? I feel like this month flew by! Although it's definitely had it's ups and downs along the way. Hopefully July has more ups than downs! Let's get down to the nitty gritty and jump into my weekend recap with Biana!

Friday I headed out to do some last minute shopping for a birthday outfit. I literally waited until the last possible second to decide what I wanted to do for my birthday so getting an outfit to wear was the last step (crazy for me, I know!). After shopping it was dinner time at home while watching the season finale of Reign with a glass of champagne (how else do you start your birthday weekend?!)

Saturday we woke up fairly early and headed over to St. Pete for the day. We started at Florida Orange Grove Winery for some key lime wine.


After the winery we grabbed some snacks at a British Pub and then started our brewery hop throughout St. Pete. We checked out 3 Daughters, Green Bench and St Pete. Brewing. 

We ended Saturday at a rooftop bar for some drinks. We had an absolutely gorgeous view of the water and the decor of the place was so cute!

Sunday I woke up sick so I spent the entire day on the couch watching movies and napping. All day Saturday I felt congested and just thought my sinuses were bothering me but turns out I was getting a lovely cold just in time for my birthday. At least I got to celebrate before I felt too bad and hopefully it will move out by Wednesday.

Happy Humpday! Thank you all for the sweet words on Monday! I'm trying to get back into the normal swing of things since the tragedy that occurred here over the weekend and it didn't feel right to post yesterday so I rescheduled some things and well, here we are. Even though my heart it still hurting for my community I do know that life must go on and we cannot let this stop us from living and we cannot live in fear. My birthday is in exactly two weeks and I have gone back and forth about not only how I want to celebrate it but whether or not I even should. Not just because of the events that unfolded last weekend but because June is already a somber month for me due to other personal reasons. While I still haven't decided what I'm going to do I did decide that even if I keep it small, I should still celebrate. So I figured I'd put together a little wish list of things I'm loving lately and wouldn't mind getting for my birthday ;)

Happy Tuesday loves! Hope everyone's week is off to a great start! First, I just want to say a huge THANK YOU for all he birthday love yesterday! You all are SO sweet! Sorry for my absence yesterday, my awesome boss let me head home early so I wasn't near a computer all day.  I'm definitely ready for the weekend (already) so I'm glad it's a short week! Since I celebrated my birthday over the weekend, I kept yesterday pretty low key. Can I just say that having your birthday on a Monday kinda sucks? Not just having it on a Monday but a Monday where you have to work and get up at 5 am! I wish I could make a new rule that if you're birthday falls on a week day you automatically get it off! Oh well, enough complaining!

I absolutely love the fun colors and the abstract pattern on it! Oh and did I mention it has pockets? If you've been following me for awhile you already know I have an obsession with anything with pockets! Don't ask me why... haha! Obviously I didn't wear heels out biking but I decided to dress it up a bit since you already saw what the romper looked like dressed down. Happy Monday dolls! Today is officially my birthday and since we went out to celebrate yesterday I'm going to keep this short and sweet. I hope everyone had as fabulous as a weekend as I did! I love getting to celebrate with such amazing friends and have such an great time! Linking up with my girl Biana for my weekend recap!

Friday night I worked a little late so I came home and laid low. I made an AMAZING prosciutto, goat cheese and rosemary pizza and had some bubbly while watching Pirates of the Caribbean.

Saturday I headed out to the pool to relax and get some sun before Key West next weekend. I downloaded Holly Madison's new book, Down the Rabbit Hole to read while out there. I was going to read What Alice Forgot next but then I saw Perez reading Holly's book and I had to read it now. I wish I would have read What Alice Forgot instead... I loved Holly on GND and Holly's World but this book makes her seem SO bitter and above everything and everyone. Even if that is how things really went down the way she talks about it just makes her seem like the "too smart but overly naive victim" while everyone else (but Bridget) was the "Mean Girl" and Hef was just plain awful according to her.

Saturday night was pretty low key. Grabbed a drink with my girl Kerri and just relaxed before the big celebration Sunday.

Sunday morning I met up with some friends who were unable to go out to the bike ride in the afternoon, for brunch. Because Bailey's French toast and unlimited mimosas are always a good idea!


After brunch I headed over to downtown Sanford for our Limo Bike Pub Crawl. The rest of this post I'm just going to let the pictures speak for themselves.

Happy Friday babes! Ok, I know technically the first Friday of June was last week but I was too excited about our concert to actually acknowledge it but now I'm fully into it being June AND my birthday month! What?! Oh and exactly 3 weeks until Key West! Seriously though, where has the time gone? I swear I just started my new job... and now here I am 5 months in! Still adjusting to things, getting up at 5:30 am every morning is tough. Especially when you ride the train and can't afford to hit snooze or run late or you'll be waiting 30 mins to catch the next train. The struggle is real people. And then there are days like yesterday and today where I'm so busy I feel like there aren't enough hours in the day to get everything done. So excuse me for being MIA today, I won't even have a computer with me at the shoot so I won't be checking email until I get home tonight. But let's get into our Friday Favorites with the lovely Amanda, shall we?

1. Ok, I had to share this song with you guys! I've been listening to it on repeat nonstop since Kerri and I heard them perform last Friday night. And it was on the first episode of Reign (one of my favorite guilty pleasures)! It's the lead singer of Dashboard Confessional (yup, my love for Chris Carrabba continues) with his band and his cousin, and a few other people from different bands. Totally loving them!


2. So I keep going back and forth as to whether I want to buy this romper for Key West. We're going to spend a lot of time in bikinis so I don't see a lot of need to buy a lot of new clothes but it is super cute and perfect for vacation!


 3. I've been on the hunt for a light summery scent and I'm kinda loving this one. I love that it's a rollerball so you can take it any where and not have to worry about it spilling out in your purse or bag. However I'm also totally loving the Zara scents Biana mentioned last week. They are amazing!

4. So I know I've mentioned Tieks before (probably more than once) but I'm convinced I need a pair, or several. I really really want these in chesnut but of course like everything else they're sold out in my size. Although the slate gray croc print is pretty darn cute too...

5. Kinda loving this druzy ring! So pretty but still subtle enough to wear every day. I was totally obsessed with Kristina's two finger ring and it's on sale (both are actually!) but I feel like the single ring I could get away with more for every day.
