Happy Humpday friends! Hope everyone is having a fabulous week so far. My new employee starts tomorrow so I've been trying to get stuff done and get everything set up for her start and the rest of my week will be busy training her and getting everything settled. It's absolutely crazy to me that next week is already Thanksgiving, where did this month go? We're still not getting a lot of "fall" weather here. It's nice and cool in the mornings but but the afternoon we're in the low 80's or high 70's so when I went to EDC two weeks ago being cool and comfortable was a definite must!

If you read my blog post about EDC last week you already heard that most people wear crazy costumes or as little as possible to EDC but that just isn't really my thing so I decided to wear something I felt comfortable in. At first I wasn't sold on the bodysuit trend but I finally decided to venture out and get one and if it fits right, they are actually insanely comfortable and look great on! I picked the one I wore to EDC up at a local boutique and I loved the low scoop back with the crossed straps. Since it's still pretty warm during the day I paired it with a pair of comfy cut off denim shorts and layered with a button up flannel just in case it got a bit chilly at night. I topped off my look a wrap choker, a pair of comfy leopard slides that I didn't mind if they got a little dirty and of course my flash Ray-Ban aviators! Even though I felt a bit overdressed I was still comfortable and had a blast! Not pictured here are the fun floral cat ears I also wore which definitely made me feel more festival appropriate.

Happy Tuesday dolls! I'm going to be a bit MIA the next few days since I'll be offsite doing a photo shoot for work but I'll try to read and respond to comments when I get a break! I don't know about you but all the pictures of people at Coachella the past two weekends really made me want to go next year! It was extra hard for me since I had a friend out there who was snapping the most fun Snaps all weekend totally giving me FOMO (thanks Yass...). Since I couldn't be there I decided to rock a festival inspired outfit around town to compensate. Don't get me wrong, if I was actually at Coachella this definitely wouldn't be what I was wearing but since I'm on a no-spending month (4 more days!!! I'm not counting down or anything) I put together a quick outfit based off of what I already had in my closet to feel semi-festival ready. 

I got this kimono last year and wore it to many, many brunches then put it away for winter and was super excited to break it back out again. I love the flowy sleeves and the fun paisley pattern at the bottom. For this look I threw on a simple black tank (which happens to be one of my favorites!) and a pair of high wasited shorts. Because I was out running around I kept it simple with my super comfy DV espadrilles which I'm not too proud to say, I own in both colors! The DV line for Target is seriously killing it! I think I own 4 pairs of shoes from the line now... and each one is super comfy!

Happy Tuesday lovelies! Hope everyone's week is off to a fantastic start! So, as most everyone in the Midwest knows, it's festival season. One of the things I love about Florida is the festivals we have. We might not have the same fairs I used to go to when I lived in the Midwest but we have a festival for everything. From the Spring Beer Fling to Ribfest there truly is a festival for everyone but one of my favorites is the Summer of Rum Festival. Located just outside of Tampa in Ybor City, the Summer of Rum Festival celebrates National Rum Day in true pirate style  for the third year in a row.

The Summer of Rum Festival is an inside and outside experience (which was great considering we had some gross weather) where you can visit several different "Rum Zones" and try cocktails like the classic daiquiri, mojitos, mai tai's, rum punches and so much more!



 In addition to the "Rum Zones" there were different vendors from Caribbean food, clothing and accessories and of course a cigar vendor. I mean, you can't have a a rum festival at a Cuban Club without cigars, right? There was also live entertainment featuring multiple bands and even a Polynesian fire show to keep you entertained while walking around and trying things!
