I'm not really one to sport a crop top during winter (actually I rarely sport them at all) but I saw this crop top at Target and I couldn't resist! The colors and print are so fun and we all know I can resist anything with sequins. The skirt is actually supposed to be paired with a sequin pencil skirt (also from Target and also equally amazing) but they didn't have the skirt in my size and I figured I could pair the top with something more casual than a sequin skirt. I bought this simple black bandage skirt from Sophie & Trey months ago and I've really found it's the perfect skirt for almost any top so I figured why not try it out with this. It wasn't AS cute as it would have been with the sequin skirt (because seriously, anything with sequins is pretty much always cuter!) but I was still pretty happy with how it looked together. I love that the top is a t-shirt crop top so its comfy and can be casual or dressy. I can't wait until spring when I can pair it with something else and not freeze my butt off! ;)

I originally found this skirt on Pinterest and absolutely loved it but didn't know where to find it. Then one fateful afternoon I wandered into Tria and there it was on the table in front of me right when you walked in the door. I immediately tried it on but sadly wasn't sold on it. I ended up leaving it behind that day but still thought about it until I opened a box with the skirt in it on Christmas. It had to be fate! My only problem is I didn't know what to pair it with. I tried matching the outfit the girl on Pinterest was wearing but it just didn't look right on me so the skirt sat in my closet for the past few weeks just waiting for it's moment to shine. Then one day it hit me. Why not pair it with something bright and fun? I bought this neon yellow shirt from Sophie & Trey last year and I LOVE the color and how it fits. I've worn it with jeans, leggings and skirts and it always looks good so I figured why not try it with this studded skirt? At first I wasn't so sure but I kept it on while walking around the house and I ended up loving the way it looked together. What do you think, do neons and mixed metals go together?

Is anyone really surprised to see me in leopard print (again)? Leopard print is totally the new black. ;) I absolutely love that leopard is kind of a neutral item, you can pair it with bright colors, other neutral colors and you can even mix it with other prints. The last time I wore this skirt I wore it with a black crop top and booties for a friend's birthday. I went a little boring this time and paired it with a black top from Express and a velvet moto jacket from H&M but I wanted to make it more work appropriate. This jacket is one of my favorite fall staples this year so be prepared to see it again!
