My Favorite Jeans
11/01/2017
Can someone please explain to me how we're already in to November? I feel like October just flew right on by. October is my favorite month in the year so I'm a little sad it's over but Thanksgiving is coming up and any excuse to eat myself into a coma I'll gladly take, plus November usually means a solid cool down in weather for us here in Florida. We already had our first "cold front" of the year and I can honestly say, I've been enjoying having the weather be cool enough to break out my favorite jeans.
I bought these jeans in the lighter color back in August when I made my trip up to Cincinnati, foolishly thinking it might be cold enough at night to wear them. Being from Cincinnati, I should have known better but hey, it was wishful thinking. I ended up only getting to wear them on the airplane but they were SO comfy that I knew I had to get the darker pair ASAP. Despite being "high waisted" these jeans hit me just below my belly button (and I have a short torso!) and don't dig into my hips like I found most high waisted jeans doing. the material is extremely soft so it almost feels like you're wearing leggings instead of jeans but they don't lose their shape at all wearing them throughout the day. Up until recently I was NOT a fan of distressed jeans at all but I love the rips in these and despite the large knee opening, I don't find myself feeling like these look like I just stepped back into humanity after being lost for several weeks. <--- Yeah, I watch too much "I Shouldn't Be Alive". I went more casual with this look, rocking one of my favorite oversized tees that can be worn off the shoulder or normal and some booties but you can easily dress these jeans up for date night with a pretty top and some heels. Fair warning though, they do run a wee bit small and for you taller ladies, they might be a little short. Despite me only being 5'1", these jeans almost fit me length wise perfectly.

I really love high waisted jeans - they fit me so much better than low rise! I don't have any true distressed jeans...not sure why that is! I love this style on you and glad you got the darker wash too! xo, Biana-BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteI have been loving this cooler weather! It's been so nice to be able to break out my cold-weather wardrobe for a few days! I really need to scoop up one of these tees- they are so cute!
ReplyDeleteIt took me a while to get into distressed jeans too but I think it's all about finding the right amount of rips! I LOVE these jeans and this super cute flowy top!

These jeans are super cute!! I love the knee opening look and need to try some out!
ReplyDeleteThese look so good on you! I definitely prefer a higher rise in jeans, and love that they're distressed, but not too distressed if that makes sense.
ReplyDeleteYou seriously rock jeans and a tee like no one else!
ReplyDeleteSo cute, and I love that you got pairs in lighter and darker colors! I have to admit that I'm not one that loves holey jeans either, but these look so cute!
ReplyDeleteThey look awesome on you, and huge bonus points for them being comfy too. I'm over jeans that are uncomfortable! I can't believe it's November either, but yay for all things Thanksgiving <3

There's nothing better than finding your favorite pair of jeans! These look so good on you, and you totally pull off all the distressing. P.S. I love your necklace, too!

I love these jeans on you! I wasn't always a fan of distressed jeans either but they are really growing on me. Good to know about the fit -- they would probably be super short on me, but glad they were a perfect fit for you!

Love the distressed look so much. I hear you, that cold front makes me want the permanent slight cool off to stay! Thank you for the thorough details on how they fit. You have me seriously wanting that bralette now, I have it in my cart but have yet to pull the trigger
ReplyDeleteThose jeans are so cute!! Absolutely love them!

Super cute outfit! I am only 4'11 so I hear you on finding jeans that fit in terms of length!! :-) I hope that you are having a good week so far too!
ReplyDeletei love 'high waisted' jeans, even if they aren't really that high haha. i just feel more comfortable in them. i will be avoiding these ones if you say they are short, i am not that tall but have the hardest time with jeans.
ReplyDeleteI have NO idea how it's already November. Time just flies faster and faster every day I feel!
ReplyDeleteThese jeans are awesome--love the color of them!

I don't know why I didn't realize you are only 5'1! I was looking at these pictures thinking how tall you looked. I need to check these jeans out, they just may be perfect on me too!

High waisted jeans are life for me RN. These look so good on you! The rips look so much better on you than the website pic.
ReplyDeleteThose jeans fit you so well and I love that they have rips right at the knee! You look great in that top as well!
