Sequins and Sea Breezes: Weekending

Weekending

6/04/2018

Who else feels like you blinked and this weekend was over? I guess it could be since last weekend we had a long weekend but for some reason this weekend felt extra short. I got a lot done and even managed to sleep in on Sunday so maybe that's why it felt shorter than usual? I don't know. Either way, I'm definitely already looking forward to next weekend. But for now, I'm linking up with my favorite mama to be, Biana, for our weekend recap

If you follow me on Instagram, on Friday you probably saw that I ate all the things. Literally. With it being National Donut Day, they brought donuts in to work and I may have had one... or three. Then I went with a co-worker to Pei Wei for lunch and devoured some General Tso's and then another co-worker brought in cupcakes so yeah. Pretty sure I gained 2 lbs on Friday but it was worth it. I mean seriously, would you say no to that cupcake?

Saturday I headed to Universal to walk around with some friends for a bit. The weather was actually sunny for the first time in what feels like a month but I think we must have gotten used to the cloudy, rainy weather because we were literally melting out there. If I didn't burn off everything I consumed on Friday I'd be terribly disappointed. But we got to ride a bunch of rides and had a ton of laughs so it was definitely a good day.

Sunday was for errands and relaxing. And of course blogging. The weather went back to being cloudy with off and on showers so I decided to head up to the mall and return some things I purchased online only to end up buying twice as much as I returned. Both of the tops below are Free People and on super sale so I couldn't pass them up. Granted the sweater I probably won't be able to wear comfortably until... November-ish but it was such a great deal, I couldn't pass it up!

  7. I don't know how you all deal with the heat and humidity down there. With my asthma, I find it so hard to breath. I guess you just get use to it. A day at universal sounds like a blast. Here's to good food and good friends.

  11. It's so hard to say no when there's all sorts of good things in the office to eat! I swear I've probably gained back a lot of the weight I lost while on maternity leave because of that! And the summer really is in full force now, and I forgot how absolutely miserable it can be outside too!
