Happy Monday babes! Surprised to see me today? I know, I've been neglecting this little space of mine lately but I'm doing my best to get back into the swing of things. And when I get to check out amazing places of course I HAVE to share them with you...even if I do it a few weeks late. *eek, sorry!* As you all know, I'm not the biggest girly girl. I've never gotten a blow out, in fact I rarely even get my hair done but after checking out Blo Blow Dry Bar in downtown Orlando, I am definitely sold.

Mikaela invited a few of us (including my girl, Kerri) to check out some of the services Blo Blow Dry Bar offers as well as have a fun little girl's night out so obviously I couldn't resist. Right when you walk up you can tell this place is going to be straight up adorable (and a blogger's dream come true). The pink, white and black decor is so dreamy and the fun murals on the wall make for the perfect backdrop for photo ops.

Blo Blow Dry Bar is your one stop shop to look your best for any occasion. They offer makeup, nails and of course blow outs but one of my favorite things is that you don't have to get just a blow out. My hair tends to not hold a curl so for me going to get my hair done never made sense because I knew it would fall out within an hour of getting it done... if I was lucky. The girl's at Blo Blow Dry Bar showed me the book of fun hairstyle options to choose from and I immediately knew I was interested in getting a braid. As someone who can't braid my own hair (I told you, I'm not girly at all) I was thrilled to know these fabulous ladies could do pretty much any fun braid I wanted.

After getting my hair washed and prepped (with the most amazing smelling products, I must add) I sat down in my chair next to Kerri with a glass of champs in the cutest Corkcicle champagne flutes and watched them go to work! I was so happy with my side Dutch braid and I even ended up rocking it for several days which I never could have done with just a plain blow out.

Blo Blow Dry Bar has 123 locations so if you're looking for a gorgeous hair style for your next event or if you just want to pamper yourself for a day, because you deserve it, be sure to check them out!

Thank you so much to Blo Blow Dry Bar for having us!

Happy Thursday lovelies! Sorry for my absence yesterday, after my extremely long day of meetings (although extremely fun ones!) on Tuesday and not having access to a computer all day I ended up going home and answering e-mails from work then by the time I was done it was around 8 pm and I was exhausted so I needed a break. I guess a 12 1/2 hour day will do that to you! Ok, so now that I'm back and refreshed, let's talk about hair.

I've always had thin, fine hair but as I've gotten older I'm convinced it's gotten thinner. Of course these things happen so I shouldn't be surprised but it has been a bit frustrating to deal with. Then I discovered the magic of clip in extensions and the fullness they could bring to my hair and I've been sold ever since! Lately these IrresistibleMe hair extensions have been my go-to for long, thick, luxurious hair. I decided to go with the 20 inches, 200 gram Royal Remy line in Royal Medium Brown. I went with the Royal Remy line because it's the closest you can find to completely unprocessed hair and it's the same from the top to the bottom of the weft giving you body throughout the entire weft.

 20 inches is quite a bit longer than my natural hair length since I recently chopped it all off but these extensions blend extremely well with my natural hair and are surprisingly close to my hair color.  The Royal Remy 200 gram set comes with 10 pieces total - 1 super thick weft of 4 clips, 2 pieces of 3 clips, 5 pieces of 2 clips and 2 pieces of 1 clip. The wefts are so naturally thick that I usually don't even wear all 10 pieces at once. I'm only wearing 4 of the extensions in these pictures and you can see the huge difference they made.

I usually start with the 3 clip weft as close to the bottom of my hairline as I can get them then above that I used the 4 clip weft. Then I used two of the 2 clip wefts for the sides of my hair pinning them just above my ears and at a slight diagonal to give that natural angle look. When I want a bit more volume or when I wear my hair straight I'll throw in the second 3 clip weft just below the 4 clip and above the other 3 clip weft to add in more "layers". I love that the IrresistibleMe extensions come in so many different options and colors so there really is something for everyone, no matter what type of hair you have and what you're looking for.

I was gifted a set of IrresistibleMe hair extensions for review. All opinions are 100% my own.

Happy Humpday babes! Yay for being halfway through the week already! I have a busy Thursday and Friday so I'm hoping the rest of my week will go by quickly. I'll be completely MIA from the computer on Friday (which is a nice change of pace since I'm usually sitting in front of a computer all day) to do an all day video shoot of some drink recipes for our website so hopefully I'll be able to get some behind the scenes footage to share with you all! Tomorrow we have to go set up for the shoot so that means I'm stuck driving two days this week but it should be fun so I won't complain!

I wanted to share with you all some diy hair treatments for removing build up. I'm not really one who puts a lot of product in my hair, I rarely use hairspray and the only thing I usually put in after washing my hair is "It's a 10". However when I know I'm going to need my hair to hold for awhile (like this weekend for the concert and then the wedding) I use Paul Mitchell Soft Sculpting Spray and cross my fingers. Unfortunately no matter what hair spray I use my hair usually doesn't hold all night, especially if I'm going to be outside in the heat and humidity of Florida. I'll admit, I probably sprayed a little more than usual in my hair this weekend and it held for awhile but I've noticed a lot of product buildup in my hair that no matter how many times I wash it, it just isn't coming out. Since I don't use a lot of product I never felt the need to go out and buy a clarifying shampoo however if I did I'd probably go with this one or this one but instead I did some research on at home treatments you can make with stuff you probably already have on hand!

This first one is SUPER difficult. I mean 2 ingredients, mixed together and massaged on difficult. So here we go:

1/3 cup baking soda
4 tablespoons water

Directions:
Mix together until it’s a paste. Then massage into your hair.
 Leave it for 10-15 minutes then rinse and wash as usual

Yup, this one is as simple as that!

{Excuse the lighting, a storm rolled in before I was done blow drying so it got darker out}

The second one is a bit more abrasive so I wouldn't do it regularly but it's nice to do once a month or so to get rid of that build up and restore shine:

3 tablespoons of coarse sea salt
2 tablespoons of shampoo (I recommend a clear shampoo just to keep it ligher)
1 teaspoon of coconut oil

Directions:
Mix together
Massage into scalp gently for 3-5 minutes
Rinse (I rinsed twice just to make sure I got all the salt out)

And that's it! Both of these are super simple and can be done with ingredients you probably already have in your pantry! How do you erase build up from your hair?

 {Yes my balayage is still there in the second picture. The storm made it so I had to use the flash so it's harder to see them not in natural lightning. Which reminds me, I could use a good touch up!}

1. All of these are gorgeous ladies and they all have one thing in common. I want their hair! My birthday is right around the corner and it's summer so I'm thinking it's time to switch up my hair. I've had the balayage going on for a few months now and I still like it but my hair definitely could use a trim. So what do you guys think? Should I try one of the looks above or keep with the balayage for summer? HELP! :)

2. This dress and clutch are perfection. I need both of these in my life immediately. I'm seriously on the hunt for this dress, if any one knows where to find it let me know!

3. Super excited that The Tonight Show is coming to Orlando in June and I managed to score tickets to go to a taping! Hello Jimmy Fallon! These tickets went online in the middle of the day and the middle of the week and sold out in like 3 minutes but my ninja fast typing skills landed me tickets and I'm super excited!

4. I'm seriously obsessed with goat cheese and buffalo so how perfect is this recipe for me? And the best part? It's healthy (come on people, cheese is on the food pyramid! So is bread crumbs and buffalo sauce might as well be. Spicy stuff keeps your metabolism up, right?) ok so maybe the only healthy part is that it's baked instead of fried but I don't care.

5. It's Memorial Day weekend so that definitely means a delicious cocktail by the pool will be had! This Ciroc Pomegranate Lemonade sounds like the perfect refreshing cocktail on a hot day! Cheers to all of the men and women who served our country. Thank you for all you have done (and continue to do) to ensure our freedom.

On that note, thank you to my amazing grandfather who is no longer with me for me to thank in person. He was a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army and fought in the Korean War. We miss you and love you grandpa!

I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful holiday weekend! Enjoy your extra day off and remember all the men and women who have given their lives so we can have every thing we have today!

5. Boston. Yup, you win Biana, I'm sold! Biana from B Loved Boston has been posting pictures of Boston lately and every picture I pretty much fall in love with. I think it was her picture of the flowers in Spring that made me decide I have to add a trip to Boston on my bucket list. I'm hoping that trip will be sooner rather than later but it's definitely got to happen!

Now excuse me while I go do my happy dance that Friday has finally arrived (yes, I totally dance like this too)
