Happy Monday fam! It's been awhile huh? Honestly, I just really needed a little mental blogging break. The past few weeks have been CRAZY busy for me and I just haven't had it in me to sit down and write a post. I feel like it's not a bad thing to take a little break to reset every once in awhile, right? Although I definitely feel like I'm out of the swing of things. Taking these pictures was SO awkward. It's funny how taking a little break from being a blogger can really throw you off your game. 

So how has everyone been? What did I miss while I was gone? I'm sure I missed all the Nordstrom sale posts which I'm not tremendously sad about. It's so hard for me to shop for fall clothes when it's almost 100 degrees out here and I know the soonest I'll be wearing them is November. If I'm lucky. Instead I'm sitting here shopping for all the shorts and cute tanks like this little bright yellow peplum number. I was never really sure if I could pull of yellow but I loved this color so much I figured I might as well go for it and while I wouldn't say it's going to be my number one go-to color now, I definitely don't hate it! I'll do my best to return to my regularly scheduled programming (i.e. blogging more consistently again) so bare with me while I get back into the swing of things! 

Oh hey hump day, nice of you to join us! It's not like this has been a bad week or anything, it just seems to be dragging a bit more than usual. Maybe because there's a small part of me that's dreading this weekend. And I know what you're thinking, who dreads the weekend, right? Well for those who might have forgotten, this weekend is daylight savings weekend so we lose an hour which makes my early mornings extremely rough for about the first week or two after the time change. Don't get me wrong, I'm super excited for the daylight later but it's rough starting my morning commute in the dark again. Ok, enough complaining about the time change, let's talk about how excited I am for spring fashion again. 

This past weekend was absolutely gorgeous here in Florida. 70 degree weather, sunny without a cloud in the sky, a slight breeze and low humidity. As much as I love living here, we get very few truly perfect days and this weekend we got two so of course I enjoyed as much of it as I could outside. I wore this outfit out for drinks for a friend's birthday and it was perfect for the warm day and slightly cooler evening. This top combines all of my favorite things; peplum, floral print and ruffles. And did I mention it's perfect for hiding a bit of a food (or beer) baby? Of course I paired it with my favorite jeans. I'm sure you guys are getting sick of seeing these jeans by now since I wear them pretty much 24/7 (don't worry, I have them in 3 colors and wash them regularly!) but they are so comfy and look cute with everything so I just can't not wear them! So... sorry not sorry?

Happy half-way day babes! I am SO excited for the long weekend coming up. I could use an extra day to relax and unwind a little more. I'm definitely a firm believer that every weekend should be a three day weekend but unfortunately I don't make the rules so here we are. I've only had two three day weekends so far this year and one of them was when I went to West Palm Beach a few weeks ago which is actually where I wore this outfit out!

If you follow me on Instagram you've seen this top on major repeat (sorry, not sorry) as it's definitely one of my favs for the warmer weather. I'm not usually one who can wear straps as teeny as these are or backless due to my inability to go braless but this top actually has a lot of support and is thick enough that I wasn't worried about it being see-through. The ruched waist definitely helps to suck it all in and the peplum bottom makes it super flattering for almost all figures. I have literally been wearing this shirt with everything I can on the weekends and when I found out it comes in stripes...well let's just say it's on it's way to my house as we speak. I'm definitely a sucker for anything striped, off the shoulder and/or peplum so I knew I wasn't going to be able to hold out. Do you have any spring or summer trends you just can't say no to?

Happy Friday eve babes! Can you believe the first official day of spring is just 19 days away? It's definitely been feeling more and more like spring here in Florida and I'm not complaining. We still have our cooler mornings and afternoons but lately the highs during the day have been in the 70's and sometimes even low 80's so I have spring fever for sure. Even though I wear white denim all year around (sorry but I don't believe in no white after Labor Day!) I still love getting to break out the white denim for spring time outfits. 

 Another thing I love about spring is not having to layer all the time so I can show off cute tops better like this adorable striped peplum top from Banana Republic! Awhile back (and I'm talking a LONG while) I did an "about me" post and one of the questions was "If you could trade closets with anyone, who would it be?" and I said Olivia Palermo, well that still stands true so when I saw that this top was one of Oliva's "Style Picks" you know I had to check it out. I knew the navy and white stripes would go great with regular denim and white but because I've been itching for spring fashion I decided to rock it with the white.
Heads up, I'm not posting tomorrow and I'll probably be MIA from blogland. I have a pretty busy day scheduled and an event after work but I'll be back Monday! :) Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!

Happy halfway day lovelies! This week has been a busy one so I am glad it's all down here from here. In fact, today and tomorrow I'm attending a digital marketing boot camp down by Universal Studios so I'll probably be MIA during that but in all honesty, I could use a little refresher. The only thing that really sucks about it is it's probably going to make for some long days the next two days. Blah. While I have been loving neutrals lately, when I saw this fun red top in H&M I knew I had to try it on. H&M is always super hit or miss for me so when I tried it on and it was actually cute on I was pleasantly surprised!

Even though it's starting to get cooler outside, it's still easily warm enough to wear tank tops so I decided I'd scoop this top up and I'm so happy I did!
This was another outfit I wore out in Miami for the event I attended last month and it was perfect for the slightly cooler, rainy day we had. I love the ruffled details and the strappy neckline and it was flowy enough that I felt comfortable completely stuffing my face with all the steak and truffle fries from STK at lunch. If you've never been to STK... delicious! We just recently had one open up here in Orlando but I hadn't checked it out yet and while it's not a restaurant I'd make an effort to go to on a regular basis, it definitely is yummy enough for me to make a trip down there for a special occasion! I finished off my look with a pair of white skinny jeans and my super comfy Jeffrey Campbell wedges since I knew I'd be walking a few miles. And my oversized Kate Spade tote was perfect for carrying two... yup two, SLR cameras and my iPad.

Happy Thursday and St. Patrick's Day dolls! Only one more day until the weekend, I can't wait! I'm going out for a low key St. Patrick's Day celebration tonight so I'm definitely glad tomorrow is Friday. I don't know how it's possible but I was more tired Wednesday morning than I was Monday morning and today I have 4 hours worth of meetings so it's going to be a long day! While I might not be wearing green on the blog today, trust me, I'm wearing green in real life! No pinching for this girl! Ok, now on to this outfit.

I haven't shopped at Loft in probably like 5 years. Ok maybe more... *insert embarrassed emoji face here* but it was just never a store I thought to stop in on the rare occasions I was in the mall and it never even crossed my mind online until I started seeing so many cute outfits from other bloggers all coming from Loft. Jenn had posted some super cute things from Loft fairly recently and I saw this exact top on another blogger on Instagram and that convinced me I need to check it out again. Of course I found several things that I needed in my closet immediately and while Loft can be kinda pricey, if you hit them during a sale time it's definitely worth it. And what do you know? I happened to be checking them out on Leap Day so they were offering 29% off you entire order! (Of course now it's an extra 40% but whatever...) so I scooped up this fun mixed material peplum top and rocked it to work on a Friday then out to happy hour. To keep things simple (just the way I like them!) I paired it with a pair of comfy jeggings and quite possibly my new favorite heels! Seriously, these things are so comfortable and cute and look exactly like a pair of Steven Madden's I wanted but for a fraction of the cost! I walked all over downtown (3.71 miles to be exact) and my feet weren't bothering me at all! I topped off my look with some layered necklaces and a pop of color with my favorite watch! Happy Thursday loves! Sorry for my absence yesterday! I ended up unexpectedly going out for dinner and drinks Tuesday night and then came home and HAD to watch PLL before going to bed and I had a doctor's appointment Wednesday morning so it was just easier to skip out yesterday than try to cram a post in. But I'm back today and I'm sharing one of my favorite weekend looks with you!

It's been warmer here the past few days so I've been loving getting to wear more spring weather clothing. My black ripped skinny jeans are some of the most comfy jeans I own so I love when it's a teensy bit warmer out so I can rock them without being too cold! I got this tank top for Christmas and I am still so in love with it! It's soft and flowy and the ruffled hem dresses it up from being a plain tank top. I love it so much that I really think I want to scoop it up in some of the other colors, especially since it's on super sale right now! Since it was still a bit on the cooler side I threw on my denim jacket and favorite wedge booties to top off my look. What is your typical go-to weekend outfit?
