Floral Peplum
3/07/2018
Oh hey hump day, nice of you to join us! It's not like this has been a bad week or anything, it just seems to be dragging a bit more than usual. Maybe because there's a small part of me that's dreading this weekend. And I know what you're thinking, who dreads the weekend, right? Well for those who might have forgotten, this weekend is daylight savings weekend so we lose an hour which makes my early mornings extremely rough for about the first week or two after the time change. Don't get me wrong, I'm super excited for the daylight later but it's rough starting my morning commute in the dark again. Ok, enough complaining about the time change, let's talk about how excited I am for spring fashion again.
This past weekend was absolutely gorgeous here in Florida. 70 degree weather, sunny without a cloud in the sky, a slight breeze and low humidity. As much as I love living here, we get very few truly perfect days and this weekend we got two so of course I enjoyed as much of it as I could outside. I wore this outfit out for drinks for a friend's birthday and it was perfect for the warm day and slightly cooler evening. This top combines all of my favorite things; peplum, floral print and ruffles. And did I mention it's perfect for hiding a bit of a food (or beer) baby? Of course I paired it with my favorite jeans. I'm sure you guys are getting sick of seeing these jeans by now since I wear them pretty much 24/7 (don't worry, I have them in 3 colors and wash them regularly!) but they are so comfy and look cute with everything so I just can't not wear them! So... sorry not sorry?
Hope everyone has a fantastic rest of the week!

Those jeans are soo awesome!! I don't blame you for wearing them over and over again
ReplyDeleteSuch an effortlessly pretty top, and I could never get tired of those jeans - the best! Last weeked's weather was truly perfect, and I'm hoping for more of it this weekend even if we lose an hour which I'm not looking forward to either.

ReplyDeletethat top tho. so cute and flowy but not TOO flowy. ugh this time change. i heard florida just passed something to not have it anymore (after this next change) and just needs one more approval. i need to research this more. anyway i'm off to go on free people and get another pair of jeans bc they are my absolute fav right now!

That top is so cute! It also looks great with those jeans and wedges. Feel free to send some of that nice weather here too haha. :-)
ReplyDeleteThat’s such a cute tip! I’m totally with you on loving tops that will hide a little food baby, and the peplum definitely makes this top perfect for that! I’m totally not looking forward to losing an hour of sleep either!
ReplyDeleteOh I love your ourfit!! Those jeans that top, Fantastic!! I can't even with the time change, I hate losing my extra hour of sleep but I do like the extra sunshine. Well, when the sun comes out. It's been cloudy for days up here and we have another storm coming in today. Up to 16 inches of snow. Winter is never ending!!
ReplyDeleteWhy is time change a thing?! It’s so annoying haha. I love those jeans and really need a pair! The floral top is soooo pretty!
ReplyDeleteugh i had forgotten about daylight savings! lame. i like that it's lighter and all but man getting up in the morning for like 2 weeks really sucks. love the jeans, who cares, wear them all the time if they are your faves! love the top too, i'm always looking for tops to hide the food/drink baby lol
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty floral peplum top. I have been loving floral prints. I am the same way with my jeans. When you find that pair you just can't help it! Sierra~Beautifully Candid

ReplyDeleteI REALLY struggle with daylights savings, too. Why is this still a thing?! Love this top so much! Hard to go wrong with a peplum!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely adore this top - it will be perfect for the upcoming spring weather! You look gorgeous, girl! (P.S. so sorry we didn't get a chance to meet up while I was down there - vacation time got away from us!)

I love this look! You have me itching for spring and summer weather!
ReplyDeleteYes I hate this time change crap 2X a year so much I have kept my clocks on Daylight Savings Time since the US Government shrunk it in 2008. I only observe year round daylight time because that is the majority time of the year. Winter I go to work at 8am Standard time, 9am to me, etc. TV programming I go to DVR. So as most dumb Americans, Europeans will be tired and dragging for a while I won't. As for your outfit, I love your stylish top and those wedge sandals.
ReplyDeleteyou look SO gorgeous! happy almost weekend! xo
ReplyDeleteLove peplum tops and those colors look fab on you! Ugh I totally forgot about daylight savings... "Spring forward" is NEVER fun especially adjusting in the first week! xo Emily @ Martinis & Bikinis
ReplyDeleteSuper cute outfit! Love those shoes! I always dread this time change because of the mornings but it's nice to be able to stay outside longer in the evenings. :)
