Sequins and Sea Breezes: Weekending

Weekending

3/12/2018

Happy Monday my little leprechauns! I know, that was a bit weird but what can I say, I'm in the St. Patrick's Day spirit already! I'm not sure what I'm doing for St. Patty's Day yet but you can be sure Kerri and I will be out celebrating our Irish(ish)-ness. Yup. I also made up a word today. What can I say, I'm on a roll. I know I've been a bit off my game since I started my new job and losing Novie but I feel like I'm starting to get into the swing of things so expect me to (hopefully) be back to my normal self soon. In the meantime, I'm sharing some snippets of my weekend and speaking of weekending, a super huge congrats to my blogger bestie, Biana on her baby announcement! SO excited for you girl!

Friday after work I buckled down and did some blog planning over happy hour at Disney Springs. Traffic was a nightmare (big shock there) so it was easier just to grab a drink and some uber fattening fried stuff before heading home.

Saturday was early morning boot camp in the freezing cold. It was rough getting up and going out there but considering how often I'm working out lately, it was needed. Later I headed down to Universal Studios to see Jason DeRulo at the Mardi Gras concert series. Did I mention how much I love living in Florida? It's so nice to be able to just pop over to a theme park for a concert.

Sunday I headed to brunch with some work friends. Mimosas and TopGolf... I'm sure I was every bit as awkward as you guys imagined but it was fun and it's really nice to have my new co-workers be so embracing of me.

Hope everyone has a fantastic week!

  1. That’s so nice you hung out with your co-workers. Once Friday rolls around I’m always in need of a drink or two to wind down - so I’d def be doing that to avoid traffic too!

  2. Thank you for the sweet words :) I'm amazed at how many concerts you get to but that is wonderful living so close to all the action! I have wanted to try top golf for the longest time, but we don't have one here! Hoping to make it to one when I'm back in Florida! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston

  17. I just can’t believe that it’s already time for St Patty’s Day! This year is flying by! I totally agree that stopping for happy hour is way better than sitting in traffic, especially on a Friday! It sounds like you had a great weekend and I’m glad that you’re finally getting into a groove with your new job!

Anyways... those tots look SO good and Chris and I were just talking over the weekend about how we should go to a concert. I also happy to hear that things are going well for you at your new job and yay to new friends! :-)

  21. I feel like Top Golf is the best way to embrace your awkwardness... unless you're a golfer, it's awkward for everyone... and, thankfully, there's drinks to take the edge off not being a golfer. We used to have professional social events there all the time... and I was not only the only girl, but also the only non-golfer... so I 100% get that. It's a good way to break the ice. :)
