Happy Wednesday and last day of August! I'm not going to lie, I've been trying REALLY hard lately to make fall happen here. I know we still have a few more weeks of summer (well for us Floridians, it's more like a few more months) but my little taste of cooler weather while I was in Wisconsin has me ready to break out the booties and flannel. With the few storm systems we have out in both the Gulf and the Atlantic right now we've had a breezy past few days so I decided to take advantage of the ever so slightly cooler temps. 

This top was one I received in one of my Le Tote (save 20% when you sign up with the code SEQUINS20, code ends today!) boxes and the second I put it on I knew I'd be keeping it. It looks flannel but the material is actually pretty lightweight and I love the zippered shoulder detail. It's the perfect top for the transition from summer to fall and you can't beat the price on it. I wore this outfit during out Fantasy Football draft on Saturday and it was nice and comfy without being too hot. This will definitely be a shirt on massive repeat this fall and I'm not sad about it! And I'm not sorry my Starbucks made a complete appearance in this post either. I haven't had the Starbucks Teavana green tea in forever but when I got it over the weekend I refused to put it down until it was gone. I'm already craving it again today. It's probably a good thing that there isn't a Starbucks within 5 miles of my office or I'd probably be there right now!

Happy Humpday loves! It's all downhill from here... does any one else get the New Found Glory song stuck in their head after saying that? No, just me? Ok cool. I don't know why but I have been so tired this week, it's been a struggle to get up every morning so I am definitely ready for the weekend (although with my luck I'll be wide awake at like 6 am on the weekend). Lately I've been layering clothing like a homeless person. It will be in the upper 30's when I leave for work, then in the mid 60's while I'm at work and back down in the upper 40's or low 50's when I leave work so Ive been trying to dress for the crazy temperature swings. Oh and did I mention that we've been having crazy winds on top of the weird temperatures? So there's that too!

Happy Thursday friends! We've almost officially made it through the first full week of 2016. How's everyone feeling so far? Our weather has been up and down this week which has me all kinds of confused. We started out pretty chilly (especially compared to what it was the week of Christmas) and now we're back up in the 70's but off and on rainy. Kinda crazy and definitely hard to plan for. Luckily my Hunter boots are perfect for this kind of weather!
   Since I get up pretty early and it's usually still pretty cool out I've been trying to layer so prepare for the weather. This striped tee is perfect for layering under a sweater or a jacket when it's cooler and by itself when it warms up. I decided to mix stripes and plaid by throwing on my plaid blanket scarf to keep cozy and my favorite floppy hat to keep the rain showers out of my face. Of course any rainy/snowy day calls for Hunter boots to top off your look!
 I absolutely love my Hunters and I love that they were under $100! And nope, they weren't on sale either. Want to know my secret? They're kids Hunter boots and they're regularly $80 instead of the normal $150! Did you know that if you wear a women's shoe size 9 or smaller that the kids Hunters will fit you? They're actually the same measurements as the adult sizes. For example, I usually wear a size 5.5 or 6 so I ordered the size 4 in kids. If you wear a size 9 in women's you'd wear a size 7 in kids. Don't believe me? Just check out the sizing chart on their site! Now you know my secret! :)

Happy Wednesday everyone! And more importantly, happy birthday to my daddy! I'm so glad I got to go out to New Mexico earlier this month to surprise him but I wish I was out there today to celebrate. But with Christmas being two days away I'm stuck here trying to make sure everything has been delivered, wrapped and ready to go to Gainesville on Friday. Since I have to work tomorrow I'll probably be rushing to get everything done but oh well. That's what I get for letting the holidays sneak up on me!
Speaking of the holidays,  when trying to figure out my Christmas outfit this year I realized it was going to be 85 degrees on Christmas so dressing warm isn't really a necessity. So instead I decided to take full advantage and break out a cute holiday skirt and pair it with a festive plaid button up. The plaid makes me feel at least a little fall/winter like but the fun red midi skirt dresses things up a bit while still keeping me nice and cool. I've been wearing this plaid top on repeat since I bought it. I love the slouchy boyfriend fit and the material is the softest material ever! I topped off my look with some strappy heels and a fun gold, sequin clutch because there's not better time than the holidays to sparkle a little! I hope everyone has a fabulous Christmas!

Happy first day of October! Can you believe September is already over? I swear I blinked and it was gone. October happens to be my favorite month of the year so I'm not too sad although it would be nice if I was up north and getting to experience all the things I love about October and fall. Even though I don't get to enjoy the changing leaves, the crisp cooler air, or the pumpkin patches I still love the fall clothing!

When Kristina posted about this dress a few weeks ago I immediately ran out to see if my store had it available. I absolutely love plaid in the fall so this plaid dress was a must have. I have plenty of fall plaid tops but only one other plaid dress so this one was a perfect addition to my collection. I love the more neutral tones and the sleeves which make it perfect for a cooler day. The only thing I wasn't a huge fan of was the material but hey, beggars can't be choosers right? I paired this dress with my all time favorite booties (sorry I'm not sorry they're on repeat so much) and a fun floppy hat because nothing says fall fashion more than booties and a floppy wool hat. The only thing I'm missing to get that "basic" fall uniform is a pumpkin spice latte in hand but unfortunately for me, I'm not a pumpkin spice latte fan. Give me a peppermint mocha any day of the week and I'll be a happy camper though!
