Happy Thursday dolls! Hope everyone's week is going great so far! I have an offsite meeting today starting at noon which means I have to leave by 11:30 that ends at 5...sigh. Sometimes I look at my calendar and just shudder and all the "booked" times on it! A few weeks ago Kate and I decided to do a little impromptu photo shoot down by the water before grabbing some mimosas at one of our favorite little local spots and I'm finally sharing those with you!

I love doing photo shoots with friends since I usually feel super awkward being alone in front of the camera. I've gotten a LOT better compared to how I used be but there's still something a little nerve wracking about having people stare at you while you take multiple pictures and try to get through it as quickly as possible! It's definitely much easier having someone to interact with and it's nice to get some cute pictures of you and a friend. Since spring has officially sprung in Florida I've been buying all the shift dresses to not only rock on the weekends but also during the week at work. I found this dress completely by accident while, on what else, a Target run. I absolutely love the crochet detail at the neckline and the hemline and the fun springy colors. Since Florida is still having it's random cooler days, I decided to pair this dress with a pair of camel booties (I have a bit of an obsession with camel and white paired together!) and my camel GiGi All in One Bag. Happy Thursday loves!  This week seriously dragged for me. I think I'm so used to being in meetings and then having to play catch up that it was weird not spending 60% of my time in a meeting not being able to work on things as they came in. Either way, it's almost the weekend and I am definitely ready for it.  As much as I love Florida, we're back up in the upper 80's so my fall fashion has been put on hold for the time being. Instead I've been trying to find ways to wear things with a fall "feel" but are cool enough for warm temperatures.

So naturally I've been gravitating towards jewel tones, neutrals and deeper shades which is why I fell in love with this shift dress. The cranberry color is perfect for fall but the short sleeves and laser cut outs still make it warm weather appropriate. I can totally see myself rocking this with booties and a jean jacket when it gets a little cooler and it's perfect for wearing in the office. I love that the laser cut out details, especially around the neckline, adds a little something extra to the look and spices it up a bit. You can show off a little skin without it being over the top. I kept my accessories pretty basic with this dress since there's already so much going on. This dress is definitely the perfect little fall dress for days that feel a little more like summer than fall.

Happy Humpday lovelies! Half way through the week already! I seriously can't seem to grasp that it's already June! This year is absolutely flying by. Every time I go to write the date on something I keep writing 5 instead of 6 and it's really throwing me off! But the good part about it being June means I have a lot of exciting things coming up! My birthday, then Key West just a week later and then Charleston exactly a month later! We planned that trip so spur of the moment that I keep forgetting it's coming up so fast! I guess we should finish planning that soon... haha! 

 Ok, excuse how unbelievably crazy my hair is in these pictures but holy smokes was it windy out when I took these! I guess being down by the water didn't exactly help but I had such a hard time getting some good shots in because my hair was all over the place and keeping the dress down was quite the task! But I am totally loving this dress! I love the colorblocking and the palm print, I know I've said it before but palm print is definitely my favorite print this summer and I love the fun twist on this one! The dress is a little long on me (but then again I am really short) however it's perfect for work and looks great with heels!
