Sequins and Sea Breezes: Florals and Lace

Florals and Lace

4/15/2014

I guess we could call this outfit a bit of a throwback for me. I've had this shirt for... actually I don't remember how long I've had it but it's been awhile! I got it from Forever 21 and went through a phase where I absolutely loved it, then wasn't really too keen on it but didn't want to throw it away and what do you know? The kimono trend is back in so I threw it back into the clothing rotation. I love when I hang on to items and they end up coming back in style! I've been super obsessed with florals and lace/crochet this Spring so it really shouldn't surprise me that I brought this shirt back into my life. It's the perfect casual yet feminine blouse to top of any outfit. It looks great with a pencil skirt, jeans, and shorts which is awesome for wanting to switch it up. I wore this outfit on Sunday to run errands and just relax so I definitely went super casual. Since I had been laying out at the pool my hair was kinda gross so I just threw it up in a high top knot my super adorable friend Kristen from Style Trials taught me how to do in the bathroom of the Hilton in The Bahamas last November. Yeah that was quite the adventure! Here we are with our little top knots looking a little like hot messes since this was like 7 shots deep outside of Señor Frogs on our way back to the boat!

{Did I mention I can't wait to wear this romper again?!?}

Do you ever clean out your closet and can't bear to throw something away only to have it come back into style later? Is it not the best feeling ever?
