Weekending
11/28/2016
Happy Monday friends! I hope everyone had a fantastic long weekend. Did any one do any crazy Black Friday shopping? I bought a few things online but that was it, I'm not one to brave the crowds or go out at crazy times. I prefer shopping from the comfort of my own home! But it was nice to have a long, relaxing weekend despite some fun social media drama on Friday involving my work. You may or may not have noticed I have a new blogger header today! When I have too much free time on my hands I have a tendency to play with my blog design and this was the result of spending an entire day just watching tv! Still not sure if I'll keep it or make something different but it's a fun switch up for now. Ok, enough chit chat, let's jump into my weekend recap with Biana!
We spent Thanksgiving at home relaxing and making a small meal. It was nice to not have to travel or have an commitments. We didn't make a ton of food but what we did make was delicious and definitely made my belly happy!
Friday was spent cleaning and putting up our Christmas tree. I also spent hours upon hours some time watching The Royals in preparation of it's return! As mentioned earlier, we had a bit of a social media blow up on one of my work social media pages. To put a long story short, two women were trying to purchase a highly allocated item that we were limiting one per person on but they wanted more than one, we refused and they went to a mommy blogger group on Facebook to tell people we discriminate against women and refused to sell to them (which was not true since we did sell to them, just not the amount they wanted). The other women in the mommy blogger group then went to our Facebook page and attacked us. After dealing with that it was time for some drinks so we headed over to Chuy's for some margaritas and nachos!
Saturday (can we just stop here to appreciate how awesome a long weekend is?!) was spent disappointingly watching football. UCF played our in state rival and as we expected, it was an ugly game. Later that evening we headed over to Kate's for a game night and to see little Miss Serena! I met her briefly while I was working in the store on Wednesday but I was excited to get to see here when I could actually stop and appreciate her cuteness.
Sunday my little furbaby had his annual comprehensive exam so I dropped him off there, ran some errands and then we came home and spent the rest of the day relaxing and watching football.
Even though we had a nice long weekend, I am not ready to be back to work today! I hope everyone has a fabulous week!

Love the new design!! Adorable! K went to the UCF game and came home yesterday with no voice. Tells you how much screaming they were doing at the game. lol So sweet you got to meet baby Serena! I can't wait to see her again.
ReplyDeleteIt is so hard to get back into work mode after a long holiday weekend! Looks like you had a nice relaxing one :) Have a great Monday!
ReplyDeleteI did notice the new header - I was like am I seeing things or is that different! I like it! Oh man talk about a stressful social media day - not a way anyone should have to spend the day after giving "thanks"!! So glad you had a great rest of the weekend girl!! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteMom sm groups can be brutal!! I've had to leave one because of it! What a lovely rest of weekend though!
ReplyDeleteLooks like the weekend ended well. Ugh, people can be brutal/crazy sometimes. Glad you handled it well.

Small Thanksgivings are amazing, too! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteYour food looks great! Cannot believe what happened with those women! What on earth! People can get so ugly this time of year! Serena is a doll! Here's to a good Monday!
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't get much better than long weekends! Glad yours was relaxing!
ReplyDeleteThe header looks great and what the hell is up with those mommy bloggers!?!? Discriminating against women? That was taken a little too far. Your fur baby is so dang cute and I definitely got some Netflix binging in as well over the time off :)
ReplyDeleteThat photo of Serena!! She is precious! Glad you had such a great weekend! :)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh--sorry to hear about the blow-up at work! You definitely deserved a couple margs after that! Glad to hear you had a good Thanksgiving though! And I LOVE the new header!

A fab weekend! I haven't put up the first Christmas thing yet. Aw, Serena is just a DOLL!
ReplyDeleteLong weekends are the best, aren't they?? I skipped out on all of the Black Friday shopping but you better believe that I am taking advantage of a few of these Cyber Monday deals. Happy Monday! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the new logo- you are so talented!! Sorry about the work drama (that's the worst!) but so glad you had a fun weekend and got to hang out with Serena- she's a doll!
ReplyDeleteLoving the new header! Wish I was talented enough to re-do my design when I have time. Yay for quiet holidays, online shopping, and a marathon of The Royals - so excited for that to return! And yay for game night and time with Serena, that pic of her is too funny. She looks milk drunk, my silly girl! Cheers to a fabulous week and no mommy bloggers drama <3

Love your new header! It looks great. Sorry to hear about the work drama, that is the worse. I hate when people turn the story around to make a business look bad because they don't get exactly what they want. People believe that giving a company bad PR will make them give in to their every demand. It's really sad.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the new header girl!
ReplyDeleteI am sorry you've had such a rough time with work...seriously NO fun!
I had 9 days off...I am not liking being at work right now. It's cold...busy and I'd much rather be home with Charlie, cuddled up with shopping the sales. LOL! I hope you have a good Monday, girlie!

What is wrong with people these days?! So annoying that you had to deal with online work drama on a holiday weekend. But I'm glad that you still had a good weekend overall. Oh, and love the new blog header!
ReplyDeleteLove your new header! It sounds like you had such a great weekend (silly drama aside- some people have TOO much time on their hands I think). So fun you got to hang out with Kate-- Serena looks soo sweet!
ReplyDeletePeople get crazy on social media! I have to do damage control on our social media accounts every so often and it's so frustrating, especially when it's false information! Loveeee the new header!

I can't believe that those women went and got their Facebook group to attack y'all because they didn't get their way! How rude! At least you were able to have a margarita afterwards! And yes to getting to spend time with Kate and Serena! She's such a cutie! It was definitely rough waking up this morning to go to work, but hopefully it'll be a quick week!
ReplyDeleteLoving your new header! Wow, some people really don't have anything better to do with their time. Sorry to hear about the mommy blogging rant. Unfortunately I think a lot of people like making complaints in hopes of getting something free. Aww, that's so much fun you got to hang out with little Serena!! Beautifully Candid
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you were dealing with some work drama, that is never fun. Good for you for not letting it ruin the weekend!
ReplyDeleteThat picture of Serena is giving me baby fever....

That social media craziness sounds so insane! Hopefully that is all over now. I almost went to the "War on I4" game (p.s. has anyone ever called it that before? I have never heard it called that when we play UCF?!) but then decided to stay home and veg instead, haha.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun weekend!! XO -

Ugh about the social media frenzy you had to deal with, some people just can never be happy! Even though it was a quiet Thanksgiving, at least you enjoyed it and shopping from the comforts of your own home!
ReplyDeleteI still have yet to put up a tree, but I really and seriously need to! All that food looks so good. Also, I have heard such good things about that show but have yet to watch it!
