Sequins and Sea Breezes: Weekending

Weekending

1/09/2017

Happy Monday friends! I don't know about any one else but I'm really missing the three day weekends I had grown accustomed to over the past few weeks. It was so nice to have that extra day to get stuff done or just relax. I'm not at all ready to be back at work this morning. Like everyone else, we had our first true cold front move through this weekend and while unfortunately it didn't bring any snow for me, we did get temperatures down in the 30's which is crazy for Florida. Of course I got out and about this weekend and took full advantage. Linking up with Biana for our weekend recap!

Friday was a relaxing evening at home with hibachi and some games before the cold front moved in. Nothing overly exciting but a nice way to start the weekend for sure.

Saturday I woke up to a cold and rainy day so I ran some errands and hung out inside for a bit before heading down to Pointe Orlando for some food and drinks. Sometimes I forget how much there is to do here in Orlando so it's nice to head over to the touristy part of town and take in the sights every once in awhile.

Sunday morning was a bit rough. I woke up to 35 degree weather so I spent most of the morning under the blankets watching tv until we decided to get going for the day. The college football National Championship is in Tampa so we headed over to take in some of the festivities. It's not every day that college football's biggest game is in town so it was fun to take part in everything. Plus a freezing cold but free Gavin Degraw and Usher concert? Yes please!

Hope everyone has a fantastic week!

  12. I can't believe it was in the 30s in Florida!! I wonder if the National Championship folks were expecting that, lol!! Reminds me of when Dallas iced the weekend of the Super Bowl... and it was a disaster because Dallas doesn't do ice. LOL

  26. It was so cold everywhere! And to think it will be back in the 80's this weekend! All the National Championship festivities sound so fun, especially that concert. I need to make sure I check out the scene when the NBA all star game is here next month. Hope this first full week in awhile flies by!
