Pink + White Stripes
7/12/2017
I'm going to start today's post off with a naked truth. I don't really like pink. Sometimes I feel like the only girl in the world who is not a fan of pink but it's true. I dislike the color pink. I usually do everything I can to avoid wearing it and if you ever looked in my closet (which happens to be organized by color...thank you OCD for that one) you'd notice that my "pink section" is pretty much absent but for some reason when I saw this shirt I totally fell in love with it.
I went back and forth more times than I care to admit before finally caving and buying this top but I finally convinced myself that this baby/blush pink isn't obnoxious pink so I could wear it. I ended up wearing it out for my birthday brunch and I couldn't have been happier with it. The ruffled detail, tie shoulders and the flowy crop top made it absolutely perfect and I felt flirty and feminine without feeling too pink. Maybe one day I'll get over my aversion to pink but I won't hold my breathe. Until then, baby steps ;)

This top looks amazing on you, and you should really re-think your position on pink because the blush color looks fabulous on you! What a perfect summer look.

You know I love the color pink- but it isn't for everyone :) BUT this striped top looks darling on you & was definitely a great birthday brunch look!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a huge pink person either, but this is the perfect amount of pink and it's not a crazy neon pink. Such a cute top lady!
ReplyDeleteWhen it comes to pink I only like blush and it's sort of an obsession! This top is SO adorable on you and the subtle pink looks SO good on your skintone! Gorg as always!

I love pink but I'm also more drawn to blush like this shirt! Love the stripes and all the detailing!
ReplyDeleteYou know me and pink, but that doesn't mean you have to like it. This is the perfect pink summer top.
ReplyDeleteFabuloussummery look!!! and those legs!
ReplyDeleteI live for pink but totally get the aversion, too! This top is the perfect amount because it's so barely noticeable. I love the cut and fit of it, so cute!
ReplyDeleteYou look smoking hot. I know a ton of girls who aren't fans of the color pink, you are not alone on that.
ReplyDeleteGirl you know I feel the same way! I'm over hear wanting all the blush items, but I just can't get on board with the overload of pink for girls. Hence why Serena's nursery is purple with gray and cream accents because pink is so overdone. But this top is fabulous on you, love the OTS detailing and the stripes! <3

I'm not a big fan of pink either, though I do always end up getting compliments when I branch out and wear the few pink things I own. Love the fit of this top- so pretty & perfect for summer.
ReplyDeleteOmg no pink?! Haha it's one of my fave colors but probably because I think it looks good with our dark hair! This top is super cute on you so I'm glad you finally found a pink top you love!

I actually feel the same way with pink and always said if I had a girl I would die over all the pink people buy for a baby girl. I've recently worked some more pink pieces into my wardrobe but I only really feel ok in it if I have a tan lol. You look so pretty in this though and I do like the style of this top a lot. Beautifully Candid
ReplyDeleteI think you should wear pink more often :) Love this fun top on you! The price point is amazing! xo, biana -BlovedBoston

So I have to admit that I wasn't a huge pink fan until the past few years, so I totally know what you mean about not loving the color. That top though, it could be any color under the soon and I would want it! It's so cute!

You look great in this blush color! Now that I think about it, I haven't seen you in a lot of pink, so I guess I'm not surprised. This outfit is so cute!

I love wearing pink. Especially from mid spring through early to mid fall. Pink makes me think of warmer overall weather. Winter here in NYC I pretty much wear dark colors, jeans, long shirts, sneakers and jackets on a day to day basis. When I go out for winter events I more likely will wear a dark dress and ankle boots. Summer I go all out, winter not so much.
