Aren't weeks so much better when they start on a Tuesday instead of a Monday? I never mind working on a Friday but there's just something so dreaded about a Monday so I never mind skipping straight over it and going to Tuesday. Unfortunately, we have a company meeting all day today (and I mean ALL day, it starts at 9 am and ends at 7 pm) so I'll be completely MIA from blogland but I'm linking up with Biana anyway to share my weekend recap since it was a busy/fun one!

Friday was an early day for me since I was on social media duty for the weekend (which basically means I'm on call for anything that pops up on social over the weekend). I was supposed to head straight to Tampa after work for the Summer of Rum Festival but right as I was headed out we found out it was canceled due to Hurricane Hermine and the winds so instead I headed out with Kerri and the boys for an impromptu happy hour.

Saturday was the first UCF game of the season so we headed down to tailgate for a bit before heading in to watch the game. My parents also came into town Saturday for a quick birthday weekend trip for my mom. They were due to come in earlier but after a full day of delays they didn't make it in until Saturday evening.

Sunday the weather was better so we decided to head over to Epcot for some birthday fun for my mom. My parents hadn't been to Disney in like 20-something years so it was fun to get to experience that with them even if my dad was more than skeptical about being there.

Monday was by far my most relaxed day. We started out the day a little later (which was nice) before my mom and I headed out to try to get pedis. Unfortunately every place was closed so we ended up doing some shopping at Target and running to lunch at my parents favorite Mexican restaurant in town. It was rainy so after lunch we headed home and binge watched Z Nation before heading to bed.

Happy Monday friends! Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend! Since my parents were here mine was a fairly busy one (not that I'm complaining since I don't get to see them often) so I have lots to recap on today's post. So bear with me as this is going to be a picture heavy post but hey, that means less reading, right? Linking up with Biana for our weekend recap!

I'll start with Thursday since that was my technical start to the weekend. Thursday my parents, Kerri, the boys and I all headed out to our favorite local Mexican joint for some delicious food, margaritas and maybe a shot of tequila because why not? We called it a fairly early night because 1. I'm old and 2. Most everyone had to wake up early the next morning for work. 

Friday I had a half day at work so I got to hang out with my parents a bit before we headed downtown for drinks and the Orlando City Soccer Club game against the New York Red Bull. My parents are huge soccer fans so it was fun to get to experience this with them and even though we tied it was still really fun!

Saturday morning my mom and I headed to the spa for mother/daughter facials to celebrate Mother's Day. This is the first one I've gotten to spend with her in years so it was really great to get to spend some mother/daughter time with her. After our facials we headed over to a local Belgian bar for some more soccer before heading out to dinner and das boot!

Sunday we went to lunch for Mother's Day then mom and we did some shopping before heading home and relaxing for the rest of the day. You never realize how much you miss your parents until you only get to see them a few times a year. Even if I did spend the weekend watching more soccer than I've watched in my entire life ;) It was fun getting to take them out to all of our favorite restaurants and just get to spend time with them.

Sadly they're leaving to head home already but I had an amazing weekend with them and I'm so thankful to have gotten the time with them! I already can't wait until they visit again!

I took off Wednesday because I was originally going to head out to Albuquerque then, but flights didn't work my way so instead I ran some errands and then headed over to Disney's Animal Kingdom for some animals and fun. After Animal Kingdom we headed over to Hollywood Studios for the Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights.

I ended up getting food poisoning and was up almost all night just in time for my 6 am flight Thursday. Luckily I made it out there with no problems other than my suitcase breaking. Once I got to Albuquerque my mom picked me up and we headed to my parents house to surprise my dad who had no clue I was coming. It was great to get to surprise him, I don't think I'll ever forget the look on his face!

Friday we headed up to Santa Fe where my parents go skiing every year. Yup, my parents are avid skiers! I have to admit they're pretty cool. It was the first time I had seen snow in about 10 years so I was pretty excited. 

After Santa Fe we headed back to Albuquerque and took the tram to the top of Sandia mountain which had gorgeous views but was downright frigid out! Before heading back down we stopped for some coffee with Bailey's and Frangelico to warm up.

Saturday we headed up to Bandelier which is a high national forest area with ancient cave dwellings. It was really fun getting to explore that area and see how people lived back then. Not to mention the canyon was gorgeous.

 After that we drove through a creepy little town called Los Alamos before heading to a place called Tent Rocks which was only 13 miles away technically but you had to drive 74 miles around to get to it. I felt awful because we had no clue it was that far away and I got kinda upset when I didn't think we'd make it but my dad is amazing and got us there with just enough time to explore a bit before the park closed.

Sunday I headed back bright and early, not quite ready to leave beautiful New Mexico but I know I will definitely be back! Sooner rather than later! Hope everyone has a fabulous week!

Happy Monday loves! No for real, I wish I was still in bed. I had to wake up super early this morning to drop my mom off at the airport so it's going to be a long day. Finding motivation to go to the gym tonight is going to be tough but I only have three days to go this week so it has to be done! Key West is less than 2 weeks away so I need to be bikini ready by then and with all the eating out I did this weekend it's much needed! Speaking of the weekend, it's time to link up with Biana and Meghan for my weekend recap!

As you already know, my mom came into town on Wednesday evening to spend a long weekend with me. I had to work Thursday and Friday but I still got to spend some time with her after work so it was nice. Thursday night we had a girl's night and went out to dinner to Bahama Breeze since it's one of her favorite restaurants and they don't have one out where she lives. 

Friday night we braved the ridiculous storm to go out to dinner to our favorite Mexican restaurant. I swear every time my mom comes into town she brings horrible weather so Friday we had the worst storm we've had in awhile but it was pretty entertaining to watch until we decided we were hungry and had to run through it!

Saturday we woke up early and headed to the outlets for some shopping. We got there early enough to not have to fight for a parking spot which was awesome. Both of us ended up with some nice goodies. I got a card holder from Kate Spade so I don't always have to have my wallet with me, some tanks from J.Crew and a romper from Bebe to wear out for my birthday. After the outlets we grabbed lunch and then headed out to get a pedicure. 

I went with a bright red in hopes my pedicure will last until the 4th. Wish me luck! Haha! After pedis we grabbed dinner (see, I told you I ate out WAY too much this weekend) and then went back to the house to relax. It was free HBO weekend so we watched 1,000 Ways to Die in the West and it was HILARIOUS. Never would have guessed it but now I really want to watch it again. We also had some cocktails (well beer for me, cocktails for her) and played Cards Against Humanity with the boys and Kate who came over and hung out for a bit. My mom won... that's just wrong, am I right?

Sunday we had plans to go to one of the springs but my mom was worried about hurting her shoulder so we ended up just going to the pool and relaxing while I made crockpot mojo pulled pork. After it got too hot at the pool we headed up to the mall for some impromptu shopping.
