Sequins and Sea Breezes: Friday Five

Friday Five

5/02/2014

Yay!! Happy Friday dolls! I can't believe it's already May! This year is absolutely flying by! I'm a little sad Cinco de Mayo is on a Monday but I guess I'll live. Considering Mexican food and margaritas are two of my favorite things I automatically love Cinco de Mayo and I use it as my excuse to eat excessive amounts of queso. I'll reiterate my love for all of these things on Monday... don't you worry ;) For now I'm teaming up with the fabulous Amanda from Meet At The Barre for the Friday Favorites!

Meet At The Barre

Yay for fun link ups! This thing is growing like crazy too! If you haven't joined in yet, you are totally missing out!!

1. Yup, taking it back to high school days with this song! I'm supposed to be going to Universal Studios tomorrow for Mardi Gras to see Nelly perform so I can go all teenager crazy. Of course it's like a 80% chance of rain so that MIGHT not happen but my fingers are crossed it's decent enough weather to deal with it!

2. Lusting over this adorable boho outfit from Sophie & Trey! That fringe kimono is amazing and the high waisted shorts with the crochet trim top is so cute! Sophie & Trey is easily one of my favorite places to shop (as seen from at least half of the pieces I wear in my blog posts) not just for the amazing things they have but the ridiculously awesome prices. Did I mention this kimono is only $29.99? Make that $27 if you use my coupon code: STPAMELA for 10% off your order of $50 or more!

3. I told you I have an obsession with Mexican food and this is one of my favorite at home Mexican dishes to make! Not only does it have all of the amazing enchilada goodness it's also skinny! Yup, you heard that right! Only 374 calories in two of these yummy enchiladas! You can find the recipe here! I know what I'll be making on Monday! :)

4. Lets be real, you can't have Mexican food without the margaritas!! Last year I went to Key West and had this AMAZING key lime margarita from this little bar on the beach and ever since then I've been dying to remake it. Well lucky for me I found this amazing recipe on Pinterest that tastes pretty close to the one from Key West. I'm definitely all for a regular margarita but if you're looking to switch it up, I definitely recommend trying this!

5. Definitely trying to let this be my mantra! I used to get upset over little things and now I'm realized it's not the little things that you should get upset about. There are so many bigger things in life to worry about, who cares about the little stuff. You only live once, might as well make the best of it and have fun! Hence why even if it is raining tomorrow I'll probably be there dancing in the rain to Nelly!

Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!!

  22. Yeah thanks for the linkup shoutout girl it has blown up and I'm totally okay with that besides the fact my job is getting in the way of my blogging response time.....so rude right? I really want some Mexican food and Margaritas can we celebrate it all weekend not just on the 5th? I love that boho Kimono...challenges my inner hippie style. That is such a good quote and definitely words to live by! Hope you have a fab weekend and I think it's time to break out some queso what do you think?
