Happy Monday dolls! Wow this weekend went by fast! I really think we should have longer weekends so we can feel more recharged on Monday. I always end up doing so much running around that I never feel like the weekend was long enough. Although even if I had an extra day I'd probably still be tired so I don't know if that would really help but it's a nice thought! 

I finally bit the bullet and tried out the midi dress trend but instead of doing the flowy midi dress I went for a more form fitting one to see if that might elongate me. I have to admit, I'm not 100% sold on it yet but I don't hate it so that's a plus, right? I found this dress at Forever 21 and I love the print and the colors and you can't beat the price tag. Can you believe this dress was only $10.80?? If I'm going to try a trend I've never tried before and am hesitant about, Forever 21 is the way to go! I love that this dress is perfect for a summer day at work but is fun enough where I'd wear it out to dinner as well. To throw in some extra color I paired it with a turquoise stone necklace and bracelet which added a little pop without taking too much away from the dress. I decided to go neutral on the bag and heels, mainly because I feel like nude heels elongate you even more and I felt I definitely need that wearing a midi dress. What do you think of the midi dress trend? Is it something you'll try or are you waiting for it to go out?

    i think this looks amazing on you, but i am a sucker for the midi dress. i cant believe it was only $10! i couldnt do such a form fitting dress though, too many lumps and bumps haha. but it seriously looks fab on you. you definitely should try a flowy / poofy one ;)

    I LOVE the midi dress trend, especially fitted ones! I just don't look good in flowy dresses, so I definitely will need to check out Forever 21 for other midi dresses like yours.

    I did some serious Forever 21 investigating this weekend as well! I sucked it up and went to the store I needed to see some things in person ;-) I have been loving all their tribal prints!
