Happy Thursday dolls! I'm so happy it's Friday-eve. I was feeling a bit under the weather Tuesday and Wednesday but I'm feeling better today so I am ready for the weekend! So, I'm usually not very big on super low cut things. Mainly because when you have a little something up top low cut things mean wearing a bra usually is a no-go and well, I kinda need that support. But when I saw this dress I absolutely fell in love with it and I knew I was going to have to step outside my comfort zone and get it. Don't get me wrong, it is definitely not something I'd wear to work or out some place fancy, but it is cute for vacations, brunch, and just running around on those warm weekends!
The pattern on this dress is definitely what I feel in love with the most. I love the tribal/geometric print and the navy and white colors. Not to mention the tie detail at the shoulders is so fun (although it can be a bit dangerous so I do recommend double knotting!). For this look I decided to keep it really casual (I mean, is any one really surprised there?) and threw on a jean jacket, some layered necklaces and of course my favorite "I didn't do my hair today" hat. Which yes, you can totally tell I didn't do my hair :) I'm definitely glad I stepped out of my comfort zone and bought this dress, I can't see myself doing it too often but it definitely made a nice addition to my maxi dress collection!
Beautiful dress, and I love it paired with the hat! And girl if that's what your hair looks like when you haven't done it, I'm insanely jealous! Mine is a scraggly mess right now :-P
I LOVE that dress! I have a couple of those that are more low cut and definitely don't think they are appropriate for carting Cruz around to soccer practice, but give me a girls getaway or a beach vacay and it's on! =)
That maxi is tata-tastic, ow ow ;)! Love wearing hats over the 'i didn't do my hair' days! Love the shoulder detail, makes the dress that bit of extra special.
love this. especially with the jacket. perfectly low cut. ugh i'm feeling sick starting yesterday so i feel you girl. currently can't stop coughing. blah
Happy to hear you're feeling better! This dress looks lovely on you, definitely worth stepping out of your comfort zone for it. I love how it ties at the shoulders, that's such a fun detail!
Soak up these bra-less outfits as long as possible because once you have a kid... you can't ever go back to these (unless you get implants. Cold, hard truth, HA!)
im so jealous that you had weather warm enough to wear this!! I love a good maxi/denim jacket combo! you look adorable, send some of that sunshine my way!!
