Sequins and Sea Breezes: Weekending

Weekending

Happy Monday loves! Is any one else besides me wishing that the day after the Super Bowl was a National holiday so we could catch up on our sleep? I'm not horribly tired but I would far from complain about getting a little extra rest today. I'm not a huge Katy Perry fan but the floor during Dark Horse was pretty cool! And can we talk about how quick girl can change her outfit? Alright, enough about the Super Bowl, let's link up with my girl Biana for our weekend recap!

I didn't do much Friday night. After work I made dinner put on a movie and called it a night. Oh and I'm pretty sure I was in bed by like 10 pm. I was so exhausted from the weekend before and the week that doing anything just wasn't happening.

Saturday I woke up, cleaned the house a bit and then did some shopping. I'm on the hunt for a rug, sadly I didn't find one this weekend, but I did come across a few other things for my house that I needed could use. After running to like 3 different Ross stores in Orlando we decided to stop off for a snack and a drink before trying the last ones. I can never say no to Mexican food.

Saturday night was pretty low key. We decided to get out of the house for a bit so we went to a local brewery thinking it'd be pretty relaxed but the place was packed. We found a place at the bar but it happened to be near the door so I had a beer (the boys had a few) and spent most of the time shivering so we didn't stay long.

Sunday I ran some errands, which included this little guy getting a hair cut.

He was so worn out when he got home all he wanted to do was cuddle and nap. I wasn't complaining. The weather was AMAZING so we spent the entire afternoon outside.

Giant Jenga, cornhole, and adult slushies rounded out the afternoon before the Super Bowl started.

I made an unnecessary amount of food which included the last of my Wisconsin cheese curds (super sad face), beer cheese lil' smokies, a meat, cheese and cracker tray and wings. Obviously nothing healthy... so I probably should go to the gym but let's be real, I'm going to want to go straight home after work today!

Hope everyone had an amazing weekend! Did any one else eat anything yummy this weekend? Please don't tell me I was the only one eating my weight in fried goodness... :)

  1. YAY, glad you got some rest on Friday and enjoyed a low-key weekend, too! I'm with you, today should totally be a holiday. There are so many people 'sick'not at work because of the Super Bowl, hahaha.

Fried food is the national food of the Super Bowl. WE get to enjoy it once a year, so don't stress too much. Get after it in the gym on Tuesday, get rest tonight!

    Have a great monday, friend!

  2. Sounds like a great and relaxing weekend!!! What a game, even if you're not a fan of either team...those last two minutes were epic!! We didn't have a chance to eat bad food, but I had some fried sushi does that count?! And Boston sort of gets the day off today because of the snow storm so I have to work from home LOL!! Have a wonderful Monday love! xo, Biana - BlovedBoston

  3. Sounds like you really needed that low key friday and all the rest--much deserved!!
I never understood why they have the SuperBowl on a Sunday. It should be Saturday so people can drink and stay up late without having to go to work the next day. Oh well! All of that food and your yummy beverage looks so good! Enjoy it--no guilt :)
Hope you have a good start to the week and aren't too tired!

  16. Of course you weren't alone in the amount of bad food that was consumed! I can't even recount all that we ate yesterday ... oh well - it happens once a year, right? And, if you ever need a resupply of cheese curds, you know who to ask. :)
