Weekending
1/11/2016
Happy Monday friends! Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend. I didn't really do much for the first time in weeks so it was nice to catch up on my sleep, reading and tv in general. I didn't realize how many shows I was behind on! I even started to watch Making A Murderer. Unfortunately I didn't get too far into it but I definitely see why it's bringing out so many emotions in viewers. Hoping I'll get to continue binge watching next weekend but until then, let's jump right in to my weekend recap with Biana!
Friday after work I headed up to meet Kerri and the boys in Winter Park for happy hour. It was rough being back at work for a full 5 days again so it was nice getting to unwind with some wine and people watching. The street we were sitting on has a bunch of parallel parking on it and I swear if you sit there for an hour you'll see at least one car hit another and drive away.
Saturday morning I decided to venture out to the mall for a bit. I'm not really a huge shopper, I much prefer to do it online, but I needed to pick up some things at Sephora so out I went. After the mall we headed out to my favorite local Mexican place for some queso and margaritas. It was kinda crappy weather all weekend but the weather was warm enough to enjoy the patio Saturday so we sat outside while we still could.
Saturday night was spent at home watching football and making homemade egg rolls. I'm not even going to discuss the game further. It was a complete disappointment and embarrassment by both teams and the officiating staff and that's all I'm going to say.
Sunday was spent relaxing and running errands. The weather progressively got colder throughout the day instead of warmer so we just decided to stay in and watch tv to avoid the gross weather. My pup was definitely super happy to get all the snuggles Sunday! He hates napping alone so I may have joined him for a bit :)
Hope everyone has a wonderful week!

ReplyDeleteLove the weekends where you get to relax and unwind without any obligations or events to go to! Can't wait to hear what you think when you finish Making a Murderer!
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday friend!!
Well aside from the game, I'm so glad you had a relaxing weekend! I was going to go to sephora this weekend, but totally forgot!! I know what you mean about a parallel parking street - which I'd be the one that couldn't park LOL! Hope today is a great start to the week for you!! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston

What a perfectly relaxing weekend! Yesterday was the perfect day to stay in and cozy!
ReplyDeleteLove relaxing weekends!! I can't even tell you how far behind in shows and books I am... I guess I'll catch up when I'm 80, or the kids move out of the house. Whichever happens first, ha ha! I have 10 minutes left in the first episode of making a murderer and I don't know how anyone kept going! I've heard it gets better though so I'll keep watching!
ReplyDeleteGlad you were able to relax some this weekend, that is always a great way to spend two days. The margarita looks delicious. UGH, girl the game. I enjoyed our tweeting session but man not the officiating or announcing. What a disappointment. <3 you!

ReplyDeleteHomemade egg rolls? YUM! Sounds like a great weekend. I've heard a lot about Making A Murderer, not sure it's something that I'd enjoy watching. People are in an uproar about it though lol.
ReplyDeleteRelaxing weekends are the best! We watched all of Making a Murderer and it was definitely interesting/frustrating/confusing! Hope you have a wonderful Monday!

We had a weekend full of football, too. It's kind of crazy to me that we only have like 4 weekends left of that!

Glad that you had a nice weekend!! We were at a bar with friends and watched that game. Crazy!!! There was also this girl in a Steelers jersey who was being super annoying.. haha. When we went to Trader Joe's on Saturday someone backed right into someone. I mean there was a loud bang too... Anyways... I hope that you have a great day today!! :-)
ReplyDeleteHahhaha that pic of you and the margarita! Love it! Sounds like an awesome weekend! Drinks and relaxing is always the best!

I'm with you on mall shopping - I get so annoyed when I actually have to go now and deal with people. :) Glad you were still able to enjoy the outside weather for a bit this weekend!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry that your game was a disappointment this weekend! I watched most of it and I was cheering hard for your team. Hope you have a good week this week!
ReplyDeleteYour game made me so mad, so I can only imagine how you felt, it was such a disappointment!! Ugh!! Other than the game it looks like a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a lot of fun!!! This week was a bit of a shock for me too going back to work and all. The weekend was much needed! And ugh ... your football game was SUCH a disappointing ending I'm sure. I hate the Steelers with a passion! But, did you see the Seattle game ending?! We should not have won, I had a heartattack at the end. Football can be so crazy!
ReplyDeleteI love Winter Park! It's so pretty over there (and the Lilly store is a winner!) :) Enjoy the chilly weather- it's made fashion pretty fun the last few days!
ReplyDeleteYour pup is too cute!! Nothing better than puppy snuggles!! Make today work, Rachel CubicleCouture
ReplyDeleteThat game was having me rethink a lot of things. It was terrible, no more needed. Hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteWine is always a good idea, especially after the first week back at work after the holidays! I'm usually an online shopper too, but sometimes you just have to go to a real mall and look around. That margarita looks fantastic! Hope you're Monday is starting off great!
ReplyDeleteUGH the game! I had vowed to get up at 5:30 all weekend but was up until 1:30 after that fiasco... I was so mad at myself for watching it! Every year, right? Can't wait to hear what you think of the rest of Making a Murderer! It definitely draws you in. Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteSounds like it was a great weekend! There is nothing better than relaxing on a Sunday, glad your pup was happy too!
