Sequins and Sea Breezes: Semi-Charmed Kind of Life

Semi-Charmed Kind of Life

6/19/2017

Serious question. How do the weekends always fly by in the blink of an eye? I swear 30 seconds ago it was Friday and now it's Monday again? I'm convinced days on the weekend aren't really 24 hours long. Luckily I had a pretty relaxing weekend this weekend even though I ended up going out of town again on Sunday when I told myself I was going to try to spend at least one full weekend in town. I haven't spent a full weekend in Orlando since Memorial Day weekend and I gotta tell you, it's definitely catching up to me. Maybe soon... right?
Ok, so it's no secret that Third Eye Blind is one of my favorite bands and if you didn't know that, you have to be living under a rock ;) Well last weekend they were in Clearwater for their Summer of Gods Tour (which is the first time their entire first album was performed on a tour) so of course I had to be there. Luckily I have a best friend who loves 3eb just as much as I do so it didn't take much convincing to get Kerri to go with me and we even took it one step further this time and we decided to purchase the meet and greet passes. I've been to countless concerts before (not just for 3eb) but I've never actually purchased meet and greet tickets so I have to admit, it was a bit nerve wracking not really knowing what to expect. Without boring you too much on the details, we got there and it started to pour, I'm talking straight up, no chance of staying dry or looking cute after, torrential downpour (thank god I decided to not wear a white shirt at the last minute) so things started a bit late but after soundcheck, meet and greet and a shot of tequila, we were in for an amazing concert complete with a gorgeous sunset. If you haven't seen 3eb perform in concert live before: A. You don't know what you're missing and B. This was well worth the 20 year wait to see live. We may have looked like drowned rats but we had an amazing time; with lots of laughs and we even ended our night with a beer on the beach listening to the waves crash in. It seriously doesn't get any better than that. And now, enjoy the photo dump and I'll see you beaches on Wednesday! Hope everyone has a fantastic week!

  12. Looks like it was such a fun time! And so awesome you decided to splurge for the meet and greet. I loved O-Town (I know! haha) and I wish we would have done the meet and greet when they were here in DC last summer. My 13 year old self would have been freaking out! Happy Monday!

  13. Hooray for getting to go to a concert of a band that you love, and getting to do a meet and greet too! Y'all still look super cute, and at the end of the day if y'all had fun that's all the matters right! And I hear ya on not having a full weekend in your home city! This was our first full weekend since I think Mother's Day and it was so awesome to just be at home!
