Some of you may remember my post a few weeks ago when I was trying to decide on a birthday dress. Well obviously as you can see from these pictures I went in an entirely different direction for my birthday outfit! I went through several changes on what I wanted to do for my birthday and then I finally decided that going out downtown just didn't sound as appealing so I figured I'd wait on getting one of those dresses for a different time and instead went on the hunt for something a bit more casual. I ended up finding this romper on a spur of the moment shopping trip and knew it was perfect for my birthday celebration. I feel like the low v-neck front with the lace is sexy without being too revealing and the open lace back is a perfect touch to the whole look. I decided to pair it with some simple gold jewelry and simple black heels. I was going to pair it with a statement necklace but I figured the neckline had enough going on with the lace and deep v that I didn't need to add anything else to draw attention to that area.
If you saw my post yesterday you know I ended up switching out the heels for wedges later that night. Funny story (or maybe not so funny) I ended up burning the bottoms of my feet walking around barefoot on the boat Saturday so wearing heels was just not comfortable so I ended up switching to wedges for dinner. Who would have thought you could burn the bottoms of your feet?!? I guess thats what happens when you get a pedicure and have all that nice soft skin touching something that's like 90 degrees! Oops!
Yeah... going downtown just isn't appealing to me anymore either, you'll only find me down there every so often and it's usually not by choice lol. Love this romper, so pretty!
Ouch! Hope your feet are feeling better, I can't image how that feels considering you need your feet more than anything!! But loving that romper & glad you had a great bday!!
This outfit is killer, and you rocked it! I love anything black and lacy, so this romper is definitely a must in my wardrobe. Too bad I can't pull off the romper look like you!
You look GORGEOUS! That romper is so pretty, and looks amazing on you! And don't worry, I've totally burnt the bottom fo my feet before too! Damn boats!
omg owww the burning of the bottoms of your feet does not sound fun at all! but glad you were still able to wear wedges since you couldn't wear these heels. love this romper especially the back!
this romper is jaw dropping! you look amazing. this kicks RTR's butt ;) you silly girl, I used to walk around barefoot all the time, my feet were so tough and never got burned (I was like 15) and then I grew up and started wearing shoes and I burned my feet in Vegas last year. Ouch!
Ooooooh, ouch! In any case, this looks fabulous! I'm sorry you burned the bottoms of your feet (did not know that was possible)! Happy Birthday ! : signe : the daily savant : $50 JEWELRY GIVEAWAY
