Sequins and Sea Breezes: Some Days You Just Can't Fake It

Some Days You Just Can't Fake It

10/22/2014

Being completely honest here, I came thisclose to not even posting these pictures. I was feeling pretty down this day and just couldn't bring myself to fake smile so looking through these pictures I just felt like I looked miserable. But the one thing I've learned from being a "fashion blogger" is that it's not always easy. In fact it's actually a lot harder than I ever thought it would be! Some days you have to be happy and suck it up even when you don't feel like it. I've definitely realized I wouldn't make a good model! ;)

Not to mention some days I just want to be comfortable. Ok, that's definitely most days. My fall uniform has definitely been a lightweight sweater and shorts (if you couldn't tell). Whether it's to grab coffee with a friend, running errands or just hanging out I'm loving a good sweater with shorts! Don't judge me just yet, I promise I'm going to drag myself out of this blah mood I'm in and start mixing it up again soon!

  2. I honestly think being a fashion blogger is so hard - I mean getting all the outfits together, editing and posting the photos!! I give you so much props - and to add in not feeling 100% like yourself is hard!! I think this is a perfect Fall uniform in Florida!! The slouchy sweater could even be turned into an 80's costume if you're really looking for ideas!! xo

  4. First off, you cozy sweater looks fab with those shorts and sneaks! It is so hard to be a fashion blogger - you have to comment, post, think of ideas, shoot and edit photos, etc. It is so challenging when you don't feel well or have other life happening around you. Keep you head up girl!

  6. I see some smiles there, and you look fabulous of course! *Hugs* And outfit shoots have to be one of the most awkward things... hence why I still haven't moved off my property to do them *whoops*. The first couple of shoots we did, my H and I bickered horribly through the whole thing. Thankfully, we've gotten better but they're still awkward :-P

  16. This post is full of truth and honesty.. I agree with your thinking about beeing a blogger is not so easy as it seems sometimes. Nice casual combo. Like your grey sweater and in general that type of sweater with "naked shoulder"..

  17. I wish this could be my fall uniform, it's the perfect combination. Maybe I need to move to a warmer climate. Taking fashion photos is definitely challenging. I personally, feel like I always look miserable but I think that's just my face. You look lovely in these, I would not have guessed you had a bad day.

  19. I totally feel ya, there are only so many pictures I can take in a day until I get fed up with taking pictures. It is really hard! These pictures look great though! I couldn't imagine living in Florida, it would be so weird to wear shorts and a sweater this time of year. lol.

  32. I completely get what you're saying! Sometimes, you're just not up to it. I've had times where my three year old keeps photo bombing me or the other day, his tear stained face got all over my sweater when we were taking pics (tune in for that tomorrow..ha ha). Despite your mellow mood, your pics came out great! I love your sweater and denim shorts! So jealous of your gorgeous Florida weather! It's cold and raining here in NY!!
