Happy Monday... I think. I seriously could use another day or two of this weekend to finish getting everything in order. I don't really have much of a weekend recap to share with you ladies today. I spent Thursday night through Sunday night (literally until 11 pm) working on the floors so I am exhausted but I wanted to link up with my girl Biana any way!
We finally "finished" the floor last night. There are still a few things that need to be done and things that need to be put back but it's liveable and I no longer have to eat my meals in the garage so that's a plus! Here's a little sneak peek of how it looks....
I'll attempt to do a full recap later this week but I'll just say... it's a lot harder than I thought it would be! I didn't realize how involved it is. But it's done and now I need a nap... and a rug. Any suggestions on where I can get a cute, affordable rug?!
Sorry this is so short but my brain isn't functioning enough to write any more! I'll be back tomorrow (hopefully) bright eyed and bushy tailed. Hope everyone has an amazing week!
Oh my goodness, your floors are GORGEOUS! Well done, lady! I agree, putting in hardwood floors is T-O-U-G-H!!!! You did an awesome job. Get some extra sleep tonight if you can! xoxo
Girl. They look beautiful!!!! You guys deserve lots of rewards in the form of alcoholic beverages haha. Look at wayfair.com for rugs, and overstock has some as well. I know you're tired but it was well worth it because you guys did an amazing job!
I LOVE your floors! I am dying to pick out floors for my tiny office/computer room. Right now it is carpet and I hate it!! It will look so much nicer with dark faux hardwood floors. Maybe for my birthday lol. As far as rugs I've found gorgeous rugs at Home goods. Also try Rugs USA. They have amazing sales. xo
Ohhhhhh they look fabulous!!!!! Can't wait to hear all about them!!! Homegoods/TJMaxx always. They have the best home stuff! Target has some great finds online ;-) Glad to see they are done!!!! xoxoxo
Loooooove the floors! They are gorgeous! I think your going to have so much fun putting the rest of the room together with a rug, and Amanda is right, Homegoods is amaaaaazing. Happy Monday! :)
Your floors look beautiful - good job! I always keep an eye out at TJMaxx or Marshall's for affordable rugs. They usually have a pretty good selection!
Your floors look great girl!!! That stinks that you are exhausted though. :( Also, I've heard good things about RugsUSA or USA rugs online. I've found a couple at Target too. Hope you get some extra rest tonight!
It looks amazing! I am so impressed that you guys did this yourselves! You deserve the world's biggest glass of wine! I always get my rugs from Target or Rugs.com. They're very pup-friendly (mine is the reason why I can't buy nice rugs!)
it looks awesome!! Love the color wood you chose! Mine is similar...did you guys actually install it yourselves? I wouldn't trust myself with that. haha
Your floors look great!! We ordered our rug from Home Depot on line, it was reasonably priced. Otherwise, TJ Maxx or Kirklands can be hit or miss with rugs. Do you have an At Home? They have some great ones too. (used to be known as Garden Ridge.)
Your new floor looks amazing and I'm super impressed that you guys installed yourself! I may be crafty, but I'm a disaster at any sort of home improvement projects. Great job, girl! xoxo
the floors look amazing! congrats girl! did you have any issues or anything? we have little areas that didn't turn out the best so KC needs to redo them soon. and I am STILL looking for the elusive affordable rug. There is one from Target that I think would work and I like it, but its still like $150 and apparently (according to reviews) it's not the absolute best quality. Ugh. Why so expensive for!
They look gorgeous! Good job lovebug. As for rugs, I bought mine at At Home (previously Garden Ridge) and I love it. They seriously have so many to choose from for extremely low prices!
Floors look fabulous! I have a love/ hate relationship with home DIYS. I love them in theory, hate doing them and then generally end up loving the results!
Seriously... this weekend DID fly. It was annoying how fast it went by. ANNOYING! Your floors turned out great! I'm jealous! I'd love to do something like that one day when we're out of an apartment.
