Sequins and Sea Breezes: Weekend Brights

Weekend Brights

3/19/2015

Happy Thursday lovelies! Yay for the weekend being almost here, and tomorrow is the first day of spring! Hopefully this means all the cold weather is finally over for my northern friends and you guys can start enjoying some of the warmer weather we've been having. Even though our temperatures are already in the sometimes upper 80's I'm still trying to get my spring layering in. I love dresses with cardigans, shorts with blazers or kimonos and lightweight sweaters with cute little bandeau tops.

Layering is not only perfect for unpredictable weather patterns, it's also perfect for going in and out of restaurants and retail shops that might be blasting the A/C a little cooler than need be. I personally love layering shorts and a tank with a blazer for a preppy, put together look. I told you guys about this tank in my blog post on Friday and I'm still seriously loving it. So much in fact, that I went back to J.Crew this weekend to check it out in other colors! I decided to pair it with my navy blazer since I've been loving navy and yellow together lately (trust me, I'm not turning into a Michigan fan!) and a pair of distressed denim shorts. I've been on the hunt for a pair of high-waisted denim shorts that look good on my but so far it's been a total fail. I might just not be able to pull off that trend! What are some of your favorite spring fashion trends?
