Happy Black Friday! As I've mentioned before, my closet has a lot of black in it. One of the things I love about wearing black is that you can add a pop of any color and take it to a whole new level. In the past I've paired it with jeans and a colorful scarf to make it a bit more casual but I decided to dress it up today with my leather leggings and J.Crew bubble necklace for my pop of color. If you haven't noticed (and if you haven't yet, you will if you continue to keep up with my blog!) I get a LOT of my fashion pieces from this boutique in Lake Mary (FL) called Sophie & Trey. They have amazing clothing, shoes and accessories for extremely reasonable prices. They also have two other stores, 4th & Ocean and Tria, so there's something for every fashionista no matter what your style. Make sure to check them out this weekend for their Black Friday sale; 20% off all online orders! Trust me, you won't regret it! I might be a little late to the party on this post since most people are transitioning into Winter now but being in Florida we're JUST now getting our Fall-ish weather (if you count 60's and cloudy as Fall). I always get excited for the first really cool day in Florida since we have more than half the year in the 80's or higher and I love getting a chance to break out my boots and sweaters. In honor of the first Fall days we've had here in Florida I decided to compile a list of my favorite Fall must-haves. Maybe some of these items are Fall staples for you as well!
I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving!!
I got this style inspiration from a Pinterest pin (which is where I get a lot of my style inspiration) I saw. It's a great casual but stylish outfit you can run errands in but still feel fashionable. I'm obsessed with Target (I think I go at least two to three times a week and always leave with more than I intended) so when I saw this chambray shirt while picking up treats for my dog (sorry Novie, mama needs "treats" too) I knew it was the perfect shirt to recreate my Pinterest pin. Of course I could have made it more casual by pairing it with some flats or booties but I had to rock the leopard heels to dress it up just a tad.
Fall weather in Florida can never seem to make up it's mind, one day it's sunny and 80 degrees and the next it's cloudy and 60. We had a few of those days this week so I took advantage of the 80 degrees and decided to wear these fun high waist sequin shorts I found at Forever 21 for only $18! I absolutely love anything with sequins but sometimes it's hard to make it acceptable for day time wear. I paired these shorts with a satin button up blouse from H&M and booties from Target to make it more acceptable for daytime but you could easily pair it with a strappy tank top and a statement piece for a fun night on the town outfit.

I'm not a University of Florida fan, but I'm pretty sure one in at least every five people in Florida is so it's pretty common to end up at one game in your lifetime if you live here. I found myself at (another) Gator game this weekend, this time against Georgia Southern who managed to pull off the upset! I'm not going to lie, I did smile a bit to see the underdog win. It was a hot and sunny yesterday and since I don't cheer for either team I wanted to keep my outfit fairly neutral. I paired my flowy off-the-shoulder Sophie & Trey top with a pair of Hollister shorts and Target booties (it is fall after all, even if it doesn't feel like it here) and managed to stay cool and stylish at the game. Hope everyone else is enjoying their weekend as much as I am!
I am a fan of anything you can dress up and down so I completely fell in love with this top when I saw it. The gold foil circles dress it up a bit but you can still pair it with jeans for a more casual look. I decided to pair it with a chunky gold statement necklace and a pair of nude heels that can take the look from day to night without making any changes.
Most people think of florals as a spring or summer pattern but I think the monochromatic colors in this skirt make it prefect for fall. One of my favorite things when I'm wearing all black and white is to accent with a pop of color (this time with the ever classic red lipstick). I kept my accessories to a minimum with this outfit to keep it more on the casual side but adding a statement necklace to this could definitely make it more dressy.
I've been receiving Birchboxes for almost a year now and I keep going back and forth between being satisfied and wanting to try ipsy instead. Every time I think I'm going to give up on Birchbox they send me something I've been wanting to try, and this month was no exception! I'm not going to lie, the first review I read on a monthly Birchbox included a Chuao chocolatier (specifically the Maple Bacon Bar) and that was enough to convince me to give it a shot. I mean, it's bacon drizzled in maple syrup with a pinch of sea salt in milk chocolate...how can it not be good? Sorry, I got a bit off topic there! Here is my review of the November Birchbox and if you're interested in trying Birchbox for yourself click here!
1. Tiossan Body Cream - The scent on this body cream was really nice but definitely not subtle. It left my skin feeling silky and soft but not overly moisturized. Not bad for a sample but I couldn't see myself spending the money on it.
2. It's a 10 Miracle Leave-in Product - So far I've loved every It's a 10 product I've tried. It doesn't hurt that you can buy it at Target and I love anything I can get at Target. This makes your hair shiny and smooth but if you have fine hair like me it can weigh it down if you use too much so use sparingly unless you have thick hair.
3. Color Club Dark 'N Stormy - I immediately loved the color and was excited to have another gunmetal polish (I had one last year that met an untimely death with my tile floor however I now get to see it every morning on my carpet!) but I wasn't entirely satisfied with how long it lasted. I painted my nails two days ago and it's already chipping. I'll admit I don't have the best luck with my nail polish lasting though.
4. Chella Ivory Lace Highlighter Pencil - So far I've been happy with this product! It goes on easily and blends well. I love that unlike most highlighters it doesn't have any shimmer which allows it to be a more natural daytime highlighter.
5. Chuao Pop Corn Pop Bar - Sweet, salty, savory, and POP ROCKS! What's not to like? I'm a huge fan of sweet and salty so the sea salt in this chocolate was the perfect mix for me. It had a creamy, crunchy almost buttery taste that definitely made me feel like I was eating chocolate covered popcorn. The pop rocks at the end of the experience just topped the whole thing off. It gave you the sensation of popcorn popping in your mouth.
I love adding leopard to any outfit so when I put together this preppy look I immediately thought of my leopard flats to top it off. I bought this skirt from my favorite boutique, Sophie and Trey awhile ago and I love how versatile it is. I can easily transfer it from summer to fall and it's such a great comfy yet girly piece.
