Happy Tuesday lovelies! If you follow me on Instagram or Snapchat {pamelanicole84} you already got a little sneak peek of this outfit over the weekend. I wore this outfit out after work on Friday to grab some drinks and appetizers for a little impromptu happy hour. Usually I don't go out on a Friday night, especially not after going home first, but I decided why not since I didn't have any other plans over the weekend and sometimes you just need a little social interaction. Plus it gave me an excuse to not rush home and throw on pajamas like I usually do!

 I'm loving the more muted, neutral colors of this floral tank. It makes it perfect for the fall or spring transitions and the silky fabric makes it perfect to dress up or down. For this outfit I decided to pair the tank with my white destroyed jeans (yup, I'm all about wearing white after Labor Day) for a more dressed down look. I would have loved to have rocked this outfit with heels but it was super rainy and gross out so I didn't feel like wearing heels and potentially slipping in the rain so these flats were the perfect choice. Flats ended up being the way to go since we ended up walking to a few different places and hopping from awning to awning is definitely much easier in flats! I topped off the look with a fun Kendra Scott necklace and my favorite Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mac bag that is perfect for a night out.

Happy Monday loves! I'm not going to lie, I am obsessed with these adorable images Megan Hess drew! She is so talented! Can you believe it's almost October? October was always my favorite month growing up so I'm excited it's right around the corner although I wish Florida got cooler temperatures in October. A girl can dream! Did anyone happen to catch the blood moon last night? We didn't since it was super cloudy here in Orlando. Speaking of the weekend, linking up with my blogger bestie, Biana, for our weekend recap! Just as a warning, it wasn't overly interesting!

Friday night it was rainy out and I didn't feel like sitting around (I know, who am I right now?) so I decided to head out to Winter Park to grab some drinks and appetizers to get out of the house. We checked out a new place called The Parkview which is pretty much in the center of downtown Winter Park then we headed down to The Wine Room to do some wine sampling before heading home.

Saturday I woke up and did some cleaning around the house before heading out to run some errands and enjoy the beautiful day. Unfortunately I watched UCF lose again. It's going to be a very long season for us. It we win a game this year I'd be surprised.


Sunday I woke up, did some cleaning and headed out to Target for some fall shopping. I also stopped by my local Starbucks for a little late morning/early afternoon treat and of course they didn't have the fall cups! Figures, right? The rest of the afternoon was spent watching football (yay Bengals! At least one of my teams is good this year!) and cuddling with my sweet pup. All in all a pretty boring, yet extremely relaxing weekend. Hope everyone has a fantastic week!

 

 

Why hello there Friday, nice of you to join us! I say that but really I feel like my week went by pretty quickly. I had meetings most of the day Monday - Wednesday so then Thursday I played catch up and today I have nothing on my schedule *knock on wood* so hopefully it will be pretty easy. I actually have a pretty relaxing weekend too so it'll be nice to relax, catch up on some sleep, probably watch UCF lose because that's the way things are going these days and if I'm really lucky, catch some sun. But before I do all of that, let's jump into my Friday Favorites with Amanda!






1 // My girl Kerri bought these pumps and I am absolutely obsessed! They are so fun and go with any outfit. I'm super sad they aren't in my size because every time she wears them I wish I wore the same size as her so I could either steal them or at least borrow them... and never give them back ;) On a side note, I'm looking for a pair of leopard D'Orsay pumps. Any suggestions? I found these but I'm not sure I love the pattern.
2 // I've been on the hunt for the perfect every day fall lip color but I didn't want a lipstick because I didn't want something super pigmented. I picked up this lip balm and it's perfect! It gives you that red wine stain look without being too much and is super moisturizing.
3 // Yesterday I posted about my new favorite beauty product and that it was also one of Kate Middleton's favs, well I found this article from a few years ago detailing what it cost for Kate's first year of princess prep. All I can say is wow. Wish I had that kind of money!
4 // Everything about this bag screams fall and I love it! Port is such a great color for fall and winter and the structure of the bag is perfection! I'm also loving this micro moto satchel, I just wish it came in more colors!
5 //  I could definitely use a trinket tray. When I get home from work I start taking off all my jewelry and often find pieces in random places and almost never all together. A cute little tray like this would help me keep everything in order so I'm not constantly wondering where my other earring went!

Happy Thursday lovelies! I am so happy it's almost the weekend! Do you ever have those moments where you're out shopping for something and you're on a mission to get everything you came in for and try really hard not to get distracted by other things but do anyway? That's exactly what happened to me with this dress. I stopped by Target on my lunch break last week to get stuff for tailgating on Saturday and I walked by this dress but ignored it and kept going until I walked by it again and then I finally stopped.

The funny part about this dress is that it's actually part of the Liz Lange Maternity line for Target.Yup, this dress is actually a maternity tunic and no this isn't my subtle way of letting you know I'm pregnant! Although I will say, it was interesting to go into the fitting room to try the dress on and have the fitting room attendant trying to find my non-existent bump. Lately I've been drawn to shirt dresses. I think I like them because they're timeless but still look cute to wear to work then out for dinner or drinks. They also tend to look great with heels, ballerina flats and even boots! As you all know, I'm loving plaid for the fall and I'm always a huge fan of classic black and white! {Side note: Speaking of plaid, has anyone seen the Adam Lippes for Target collection coming out on 9/27? Hello plaid heaven!} I actually wore this dress to work which is why I kept everything so simple (I threw on the hat for the pictures because it was in the backseat so why not?) and why my hair looks like it could use some life... but I love that you could easily throw on some fun colored heels or a bag to liven up the outfit. Hope everyone has a great Thursday, it's all down hill from here!

Happy Wednesday and first day of fall dolls! Sorry about my absence yesterday, some days you just need a day off to recoup and recharge and that is exactly what happened to me. I have been exhausted lately between work, my commute, going to the gym, getting everything done around the house and my social life that I just needed a little "me" time. Speaking of "me" time, one of my favorite things to do when I have the house to myself is to try at home beauty routines. As I've gotten older I've learned that my mom was right (yes, mom, I said it... you were right) and I need to take better care of my skin. I've tried multiple serums, moisturizers and masks looking for that "holy grail" of skin care and by George I think I've found it.

After reading about Princess Kate's skin care regimen I decided to seriously look into the Lancôme Advanced Génifique which is one of the products she uses. Because let's be real, the organic bee venom facial is definitely not something that sounds too appealing to me. I had heard amazing things about the Advanced Génifique from other bloggers as well as multiple magazines so I figured why not give it a shot even though it's pretty pricey. But I've definitely learned in life that you get what you pay for. And if it's good enough for Kate, it's good enough for me!

The Advanced Génifique is supposed to be a powerful anti-aging serum that is supposed to act on 10 key signs of youth including texture, resiliency, elasticity, firmness, sagginess, fine lines, wrinkles, radiance, clarity, and skintone. I'll admit, I was hesitant at first but thanks to Sephora's amazing return policy I knew I had nothing to lose. You're supposed to use the Advanced Génifique twice a day, once in the evening and once in the morning but since my skin is so sensitive I decided to start with just the evenings. After the first day I didn't notice a huge difference (or any difference at all) but I kept with it trying to remember that nothing works that fast. After about a week I definitely started to notice a change in my skin's overall softness and in the size of my pores. Noticing even a small change was enough to keep me trying it so here we are, a month later.

Overall I can honestly say my face feels and looks smoother, my makeup goes on more flawlessly and while I still have my tiny wrinkles I have noticed them smoothing out, and my face does feel tighter and more radiant. I have had my ups and downs with the serum though. I've gotten the occasional pimple where I've never gotten a pimple before but luckily I haven't had any major breakouts from it and the few pimples I have gotten haven't been unmanageable. Very rarely do you find a product that claims to do multiple things in "x" amount of time that actually live up to their claims but I'm pleased to say that the Advanced Génifique definitely does!



Happy Monday loves! Does anyone else feel like they need a coffee this sized to get the day going? I am so not ready to start another week. Weekends go by way too quickly in my opinion. I'm hoping my week won't be as busy this week as it was last week but we shall see. Just as a warning, this post is going to be photo heavy since I took a lot of pics this weekend. Ok, so technically this was Thursday night but it was too good not to share. If you are ever looking for the most amazing dessert ever, I highly recommend the Yin & Yang from The Melting Pot. OMG. I was seriously in heaven eating this. And I'm not really much of a chocolate fan but this was perfection. 

Friday night was pretty uneventful. I made dinner, relaxed on the couch, watched some tv and read Everybody Rise. Still not done with it yet but so far, so good! I also did some cooking for the UCF tailgate on Saturday since it was our first full tailgate of the season.

Saturday I woke up, cleaned a bit then started getting ready to head over to campus. Kerri came out to tailgate with us for someone who shall remain nameless' 30th birthday! Happy birthday again old man ;) We had a blast despite the fact it literally poured. I'm talking straight up downpour. And all we had was this little tent to keep us "dry".

I use the term dry very loosely since we ended up getting soaked but we had fun playing beer pong during the rain storm. I have to say, Kerri and I definitely need to work on our close out skills since we didn't win a single game.

We had a bit cooler temperatures here this week (still in the 80's but in the low 70's at night) but it looks like our cooler weather is over since we're back up to the 90's this weekend. I'm still very much so fall dreaming and jealous of everyone who is already getting those lovely cooler days. I was really hoping it'd stay cooler through the weekend since we have another UCF tailgate this weekend but now I'm just hoping for no rain! Happy Thursday lovelies! Sorry for my absence yesterday, after my extremely long day of meetings (although extremely fun ones!) on Tuesday and not having access to a computer all day I ended up going home and answering e-mails from work then by the time I was done it was around 8 pm and I was exhausted so I needed a break. I guess a 12 1/2 hour day will do that to you! Ok, so now that I'm back and refreshed, let's talk about hair.

I've always had thin, fine hair but as I've gotten older I'm convinced it's gotten thinner. Of course these things happen so I shouldn't be surprised but it has been a bit frustrating to deal with. Then I discovered the magic of clip in extensions and the fullness they could bring to my hair and I've been sold ever since! Lately these IrresistibleMe hair extensions have been my go-to for long, thick, luxurious hair. I decided to go with the 20 inches, 200 gram Royal Remy line in Royal Medium Brown. I went with the Royal Remy line because it's the closest you can find to completely unprocessed hair and it's the same from the top to the bottom of the weft giving you body throughout the entire weft.

 20 inches is quite a bit longer than my natural hair length since I recently chopped it all off but these extensions blend extremely well with my natural hair and are surprisingly close to my hair color.  The Royal Remy 200 gram set comes with 10 pieces total - 1 super thick weft of 4 clips, 2 pieces of 3 clips, 5 pieces of 2 clips and 2 pieces of 1 clip. The wefts are so naturally thick that I usually don't even wear all 10 pieces at once. I'm only wearing 4 of the extensions in these pictures and you can see the huge difference they made. 

I usually start with the 3 clip weft as close to the bottom of my hairline as I can get them then above that I used the 4 clip weft. Then I used two of the 2 clip wefts for the sides of my hair pinning them just above my ears and at a slight diagonal to give that natural angle look. When I want a bit more volume or when I wear my hair straight I'll throw in the second 3 clip weft just below the 4 clip and above the other 3 clip weft to add in more "layers". I love that the IrresistibleMe extensions come in so many different options and colors so there really is something for everyone, no matter what type of hair you have and what you're looking for.

Happy Tuesday loves! I definitely like starting the work week better on Tuesday than Monday. Oh well, I guess beggars can't be choosers, right? Today I am offsite at a meeting from 8 am to 4 pm so if you don't hear from me, that's why but I'll respond as soon as I can. I love my job but they are definitely keeping me busy! I'm not complaining though, I'm having a blast doing it!

I almost never venture into Forever 21 any more, mainly because the store overwhelms me and I always feel like I can't find what I'm looking for, so when I passed by it last week and saw this dress right up front I was torn with whether I should go in or not. Finally I gave in and grabbed it and immediately headed straight to the dressing rooms to try it on. Even though the dress was incredibly wrinkled the second I tried it on I loved it so it came home with me. After what felt like an hour of steaming it, it was finally ready to be worn! I'm not really big into the boho trend, I feel like it doesn't look as good on me as other people, but this dress had such a romantic feel to it that I felt I could pull this one off. The off the shoulder top makes it the perfect summer to fall transition piece and I love the wine color. My only complaint about the dress is how wrinkly it gets. Even after I spent forever steaming it, it managed to get wrinkled in the car ride to dinner which is my only complaint about the dress. Any pointers on keeping clothes from getting super wrinkled?

Happy Monday loves! Ugh, another weekend over way too soon. And still no cooler weather for us. I keep hoping I'll wake up and it will magically be cooler but I know that's just not going to happen for awhile so I need to stop holding out for it. Although the lack of cooler temperatures didn't stop me from doing a little fall shopping over the weekend! Speaking of the weekend, let's get right into my weekend recap with Biana!

Ok, I'm going to start my weekend recap on Thursday just so I can include a few pics I took then :) Thursday I went to a distillery in St. Petersburg for a private tour for work. It was such a blast getting to tour the facility and check out how everything is made. We then did a little tasting up stairs in their tasting room and had lunch. Definitely an awesome day at work. Then to end the day I met up with my girl Kerri for drinks at one of our favorite places, Carmel (ignoring my horrible hair. It was SO hot during the tour and I had to wear a hair net UGH). Our normal bartender looked at us like we were crazy when we packed up to leave before it was even dark out since usually we pretty much shut the place down but I had to get home to let my little furbaby out so it was an early night for us.

Friday I headed out to get some tapas and wine after work, two of my favorite things. I had SUCH a hard time sleeping Thursday night that after dinner I pretty much went home and straight to bed. If any of you follow me on Twitter you might have followed along with my Thursday night insomnia. Going to bed at almost 3 am then getting up at 6 am is not fun.

Saturday morning I just relaxed, watched tv and hung out with my pooch before heading out for some local exploring. Since UCF didn't play until 10:30 pm we headed down to City Walk to grab a drink and walk around before going shopping at the outlet mall.


Sunday we ventured out to the super touristy area of I-Drive to check out the Orlando Eye and the Sea Life Aquarium (both new attractions in Orlando that I got a super awesome deal to through my work) since it was rainy and gross out. The Eye had amazing views of Orlando (which probably would have been better had it not been so gross out) from 400 feet up. We watched a bit of the Packers game at a little bar down there before heading home and finishing up football from the couch.
