Happy Friday dolls! I am SO excited for this weekend for so many different reasons. First being that football season is OFFICIALLY back! While I'm incredibly sad that our first home game is not only not at "home" but it's also not in the country I am SUPER excited for my UCF Knights to be taking over Dublin! It sucks knowing I have to get up tomorrow at 8:00 am (not that I don't usually get up before then anyway on the weekends) but my fingers are crossed we'll be able to pull off the win and I can maybe take a nap later!

Happy almost Friday!! I don't know about you but I'm definitely excited for the long weekend! Not to mention... college football is back this weekend! Yay! With the start of college football and Labor Day weekend that means fall is literally right around the corner. For some sooner than others of course! I've heard it's already been getting a bit cooler up north but we're still easily in the dead of summer but what better way to say "goodbye" to summer than with a fun and flirty boho outfit?

I've had this outfit in my thoughts for months now (literally) and I finally decided to break it out however I'm definitely some what regretting that decision now. It was so unbelievably hot the day I wore this that I thought I was going to pass out from heat exhaustion wearing this jacket! Don't get me wrong, it was a nice and lightweight jacket... totally perfect for fall but not so perfect for outdoors in the sun when it's 96 degrees out with a heat index of 104!

There is something about a good vintage outfit that just makes you feel a bit classier than usual. I found this dress years ago in a vintage consignment shop and I fell in love with it. It felt so 60's mod but still classic and timeless. Not to mention it is SO fun to dance in! I don't wear it often because I'm petrified of ruining it but every time I put it on I always remember how much I love it.

Another weekend gone by way too fast! I definitely felt like I was pretty much non-stop on the move this weekend so I'm definitely wishing I was still in bed a little more than usual this morning. Actually, I definitely don't feel like I spent enough quality time with my bed this weekend, I'll need to do my best to make up for that next weekend... even though I already know next weekend is going to be a bit busy too. If I could sleep in past 7:30 am on the weekends that would really help! Oh well enough of that! Time to link up with Biana and Meghan for another Weekending post!

Hello Friday, you sexy minx! As happy and appreciative as I am to see you I'm definitely ready for the weekend so if you could hurry up and be over that'd be great. One of my fabulous co-workers convinced me to get up this morning (ok, I'm cheating right now. I'm actually writing this Thursday night before bed) for a 5:45 am spinning class. This means I have to be up by 4:45 am to make it on time. Please tell me you think she's cray too? So yeah, coffee is going to be in abundance for me today! But I have a fun weekend planned so I guess I can't complain too much... right?

I don't know why but lately I've been loving black shoes and accessories with lighter colored outfits. Usually I'd be super against this as I'm all about sticking with the same color palette (except when it comes to bold colors for that pop) but lately I've thrown my own "rule" out the window. Why not, right? I really wanted to go for the muted tones with this outfit, a blush tank with white jeans but for some reason my black heels were calling my name.

Some days just require a good mix of dressy and casual. I feel like this skirt allows the best of both worlds flawlessly. I found this skirt at Forever21 as I was walking out considering the trip a complete wash. I have been dying to find the perfect crochet pencil skirt for months now and here it was, right in front of me when I was least expecting it. Don't you love when things work out that way? Right when you're about to give up the shopping trip and call it a fail you find just the thing you've been looking for and suddenly it's like the best trip ever!

A Little Lacy

I'll admit it.... up until recently I wasn't a huge fan of lace. I always felt like lace was young and feminine and made me look like a little kid but I've definitely come around. Lace (if done the right way) can be sexy and romantic and feminine in a grown up way, not like wearing your grandmother's table cloth. I also feel that lace must be in the right color in order for it to look more mature and less young or "cheap". Not saying you can't rock a yellow lace dress or anything but I definitely feel like there's something about lace in off white, black and taupe that really makes it more romantic.

Happy Monday ya'll! Another weekend over way too soon...how does that always seem to happen? I've got to say though, I've really been enjoying preseason football though even though my teams haven't been doing the greatest. The only thing that makes me sad is knowing that my "free to do whatever weekends" are quickly coming to an end. Happy Friday! I feel like the beginning of this week flew by but then I got to Thursday and it seemed to take forever. Maybe it's because I was meeting up for drinks with the lovely Kate and Emily after work (more about that on Monday!). Or it could be due to my horrible sleep I got Wednesday night which I attribute to do spinning in a room that had to have been at least 85 degrees but either way the weekend is now only a few short, sweet hours away! Does any one have anything fun planned this weekend? I think I'm going to attempt paddle boarding on Sunday...wish me luck! I have a feeling I'm going to spend more time in the water than on the board but it should be fun either way and definitely a new experience!

I'm a sucker for a good casual outfit. I love being comfortable, especially on the weekends, but I still want to look cute. It's always an added bonus if I can find something that is casual, comfy and versatile! This shirt ticked off all my boxes for the perfect t-shirt. I randomly saw it walking by American Eagle and I knew it was the perfect weekend t-shirt for me! I mean, can you really ever go wrong with leopard print? Even if it is just a t-shirt, leopard print is ALWAYS a good idea ;)

Yay!!!! I finally had my relaxing weekend and I couldn't be more happy about it! Friday I was a bit stressed out so I was determined to make this weekend a boring yet relaxing one and I actually succeeded! It makes me a little sad since I know the next few months my weekends are going to be jam-packed with football but I have two more weekends of freedom before that happens so I'm fully prepared to do whatever I can the next two weekends before tailgating and being clued in front of the tv starts.

I'm definitely in love with tassels and fringe, I love the boho, beachy vibe they give off and especially how fun they are. So it's definitely no surprise that I'm obsessed with Chains by Lauren. Lauren hand makes beautiful pieces that are sure to be loved by any one who wears them. Her simplistic yet creative designs can so easily be dressed up or down and worn from day to night.

So much for a nice and relaxing weekend! I swear I jinx myself every time I say I'm going to lay around and do nothing all weekend so instead I need to start saying I'm going to be super busy. I ended up having a 3-day weekend (not by planning) when I woke up on Friday with a massive headache and decided to call in. While I wish I could say that day was super relaxing, it definitely wasn't. But the good part about having a busy/fun weekend means I actually have pictures to share with you guys and I can link up with Biana and Meghan for Weekending!

Yay! It's finally Friday! I had such a busy week I am so ready to relax. I fully plan on going to bed super early tonight and being as boring as possible. I want to thank you all for continuing to come back to my blog this week even though I decided to take a much needed fashion post break. I love doing the fashion posts but my creative juices just weren't flowing this week, I'll be back next week in full swing though!
