Happy last day of 2014 everyone! Can you believe the year is already over? Is it just me or do the years go by quicker the older you get? While I've gotten over the desire to go downtown and party it up on New Year's Eve it is still fun to get all dressed up and sip champagne with friends which is what I plan on doing this year! Any excuse to wear something that sparkles is definitely a good day in my opinion!

  Happy Tuesday dolls! Can you believe tomorrow is the last day of 2014?! I know I can't. I already took down all of my Christmas decorations but it's still fun seeing them out and about around town. Although it is a bit weird seeing all the Christmas decor when it's 82 degrees out... it seems like Florida has been unseasonably warm lately, but trust me, I'm not complaining!

  Let's face it, when we're younger we don't take nearly as good care of our skin as we should. No matter how many times you were told "don't forget to put on sunscreen" before going outside or "don't forget to wash your face" before bed we inevitably "forget" or just plain ignore the warnings bestowed upon us when we were younger. Which inevitably leaves us all searching for that miracle product, "the fountain of youth", or skin care products to reverse the damage (no matter how minor) done to our skin when we were younger. So when I got approached to review VineVera's skin care line  of course I jumped on the opportunity!

  I don't know about you but I seriously can't believe Christmas is over! So much build up and anticipation and then its over in the blink of an eye!   Merry Christmas a day early dolls! I'm starting my Christmas festivities today since I do Christmas with two families. Unfortunately Christmas with my family is through FaceTime but thank goodness for technology, right? I had planned on doing several things for today's post but in the end I just decided to make it short and sweet. I figure everyone is probably traveling or finishing up last minute things today so I don't want to bore everyone with a long post!

  I can't get enough of this gorgeous Florida weather! Granted it's been clouding up in the afternoon, but the mornings are just beautiful and you can't beat temperatures in the upper 70's in December. Sorry my northern friends... I wish I could share! Biana - It's almost Christmas and it's 80 degrees today, have I convinced you to move back yet? ;) A cold front is moving through tomorrow so at least it will be a little cooler on Christmas! Ok, enough of the weather... on to this adorable knit dress!

  Happy Humpday loves! Half way through week already! Thanks for being patient with me while I was absent from the blogging world to spend time with my parents. Sadly, they're on their way back to New Mexico today but I had an awesome visit with them and I'm really happy we got to spend time together! Being an only child I'm really close to my parents so not seeing them often is hard but I definitely value the time I do get with them. Ok, enough of that let's move on to the outfit now!

  Happy Tuesday loves! Is anyone else as happy as I am that peplum is still a popular trend? It's so fun and figure flattering, not to mention sexy and elegant! When I saw this top I immediately fell in love with the pleated bottom and lace top and I knew I had to have it. With the holidays right around the corner I knew it'd get a lot of wear at all of the holiday parties and seriously, you can't beat the price! So far I've already worn it with a simple black blazer and a leather jacket and skirt for a night out, it is so versatile!

  Happy Humpday loves! I'm not going to lie, I have an obsession with cute jackets. Sadly, usually the ones I fall for are completely for looks and serve no real practical use. When I found this fun faux leather moto jacket from Sophie & Trey I knew I had to have it. With the exposed zippers, moto neckline and accentuated shoulders it was the perfect versatile jacket for me! I had a hard time justifying my need for yet another lightweight jacket, especially since I already had a black leather jacket but you can never have too many black leather jackets... right?

  Ohh Florida, you really can't make up your mind on your weather can you? It has gone from the 50's to the 70's in a matter of days. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining about the warmer weather but it can make it difficult to dress comfortably when there's such a big swing in the temperature. That's definitely where layering and mixing seasonal pieces comes into play!

  I have worn glasses pretty much my whole life. I believe I was in the 5th grade when I got my first pair of glasses and I've had countless pairs since then from designer frames to some that I really wonder what I was thinking when I picked them out. I blame the fact that they usually dilate your eyes before you pick out your glasses for the horrible ones but we won't get into that! Please tell me I'm not the only one who's had this problem!?

  Happy Monday lovelies! I don't know about you but I'm so excited it's Thanksgiving this week! I need to hit the gym hard this week so I won't feel bad about all the food I'm planning on consuming Thursday... and Friday. Can't let leftovers go to waste!   Happy Friday dolls!! Another week closer to Thanksgiving! How has this month gone by so fast?! I feel like I say that every month...   First off, I just want to say thank you guys SO much for the love yesterday! Ya'll sure do know how to make a girl feel special! You lovely ladies are seriously so awesome! I love you all so much! :)   Ok so now for a little confession, I have a slight love affair with little touches of leather. Leather skirts, leather sleeves, and especially leather leggings. I feel like a touch of leather can make an outfit edgy and sexy but not too "biker chick", which is a look I'm definitely never going for. For some reason I'm not really the biggest fan of leather pants but I love a good pair of leather leggings, especially in the fall!

Since they come in a variety of colors, they look great with almost every outfit too!   Happy Humpday dolls! We had some seriously dreary weather here this weekend! While I definitely don't mind the occasional rainy/cloudy cool day three days of it was a bit much for me. I am definitely glad it's back to being sunny today but I guess when I'm hoping for more fall like weather I need to be prepared for what comes with it, huh? At least our random cool days allow me to break out cute sweaters like this one!

  "Not until we get lost do we truly find ourselves" - Henry David Thoreau   While I fully agree with this quote I guess getting lost in a corn maze isn't exactly what Mr. Thoreau had in mind. However, it was a lot of fun so I figured I'd share our corn maze adventure with you! Growing up in the "Midwest" (I was kinda in the Midwest, kinda not. The Cincinnati region is one of those mixes) fall was always my favorite season. The leaves changing, the crisp cool air, apple cider, pumpkin patches, haunted house and of course corn mazes and hay rides. So when I moved to Florida and realized my favorite season no longer existed I was a bit sad but I've found my own way to keep up with my favorite fall activities. Enter Long & Scott Farms...

Today I was supposed to be heading out on a cruise to the Bahamas but I'm not (obviously) and at first I was a little sad about it but I definitely realize that things happen for a reason and I can't let it bother me so I'm not sweating it. I don't really have any big plans this weekend but I'm looking forward to relaxing and UCF is on a bye this week so I don't have to worry about being stressed out by them and there are some amazing sales going on right now so it should be a good weekend!   I have been loving buffalo plaid lately! Every time I see a scarf, skirt, top, jacket or anything else buffalo plaid I immediately want it. While the pattern has been popular since the 1970's it used to be more associated with lumberjacks but now it's making a fashion statement in a big way. This is such a fun way to do plaid for fall and winter and looks great dressed up or down! I didn't meant to pick all images of buffalo plaid with vests but you have to admit, it's a fun look, right?

  I am seriously loving the cooler weather here in Florida. Sadly, it's already on it's way out since the weather is supposed to get warmer again towards the end of the week. It's been so warm here I haven't been able to bring myself to wear a lot of fall trends but this weekend we got quite the cold front that finally allowed me to break out the booties, long sleeves and scarves without feeling silly. I haven't even done my "fall shopping" yet because I knew it would be awhile before I'd get to wear anything but when I saw this dress I immediately fell in love with it. I actually wasn't even shopping when I came across it, I had to drop off my Nook for some repair and ended up just wandering around the mall waiting for it.

  I don't know about you but I seriously cannot believe it's already November! I have to admit, November came in with a bang since I woke up this weekend to 37 degree temperatures. When it was in the 80's on Friday! I have to admit, the cold front was definitely welcomed since I was able to break out the hot chocolate and try a new soup recipe without just pretending it was cool out. Despite it being Halloween on Friday I didn't do much this weekend but I'm linking up with my girl Biana for our weekend recap any way! I'm sure she's super happy about her Gators win this weekend...   I've been seeing a lot of blogger breaking out the midi skirts for fall and that made me super jealous. While it isn't quite the cooler fall temperatures here yet (although I hear they are coming this weekend!) I couldn't see any reason I couldn't break out my midi skirt. This is by far one of my favorite midi skirts, from the color to the material and especially the pockets! Every time I put it on I feel a bit vintage which is a fun way for me to mix it up!

  I knew our fall-ish weather wouldn't last long. It's already back to being in the upper 80's during the day but I really can't complain. It gives me a chance to spend some time by the pool and who doesn't want to enjoy pool time in late October? Originally I was supposed to be going on a cruise to the Bahamas next week so I bought this gorgeous maxi to wear while I was there.

  I feel like it's been awhile since I did a Birchbox review. Mainly because I obviously haven't had the best luck with the products I've been receiving but this month seems to be better so I figured why not do a review? I'm definitely still looking to try out another box but I am glad Birchbox seems to be stepping up their game and giving out better product samples. I just wish the samples were a bit bigger!

Apparently while I was in Mobile the weather in Florida decided to act more like fall so I've been loving the cooler temperatures and the clear blue skies but I heard it's supposed to go back up in the high 80's this week so it's looking like it's short lived. Some Days You Just Can't Fake It

  Being completely honest here, I came thisclose to not even posting these pictures. I was feeling pretty down this day and just couldn't bring myself to fake smile so looking through these pictures I just felt like I looked miserable. But the one thing I've learned from being a "fashion blogger" is that it's not always easy. In fact it's actually a lot harder than I ever thought it would be! Some days you have to be happy and suck it up even when you don't feel like it. I've definitely realized I wouldn't make a good model! ;)

  First off, I want to say thank you to everyone who sent prayers and well wishes my way yesterday. My grandmother made it through surgery fine and is in recovery. The biopsy results won't come back until Friday so we won't know the extent of anything until then. I definitely appreciate all the comments and love, I was pretty nervous about it. Also, if you read my post yesterday you know I had a pretty rough weekend so I apologize in advance for this week's pictures. I definitely wasn't feeling like getting all dressed up so this week is a pretty basic week but I figure since this is my blog-ary (blog + diary... get it?) it's only appropriate that I keep it real, right?
