I don't know about you but I seriously can't believe Christmas is over! So much build up and anticipation and then its over in the blink of an eye! Well, I hope everyone had an amazing Christmas and enjoyed their time off with their family! Did anyone get anything awesome?? I'm sure a lot of people are still spending time with their families today and relaxing but I decided to link up with my girl Amanda for our Friday Favorites any way!
1. UCF plays their bowl game tonight! It's in St. Pete and I had planned going but with the holidays and all the hustle and bustle I just decided it'd be easier to watch it on tv. Not to mention the stadium they play in is horrible (we've played in this bowl two other times before and I've gone both times) so the comfort of my own home just sounded better. {I sound like a HORRIBLE fan right now}
2. If you read my weekend recap posts you may have heard me mention playing Giant Jenga at a local bar a few times. Well, we finally decided why not build our own Giant Jenga so we can play at home? I'm still trying to decide whether I want to paint or stain the pieces... any suggestions? So far it's been really fun to play and I can't wait to take it to tailgates next year!
3. I don't really have any major NYE plans this year, actually the plan is to keep it simple and relaxing, but how cute would this dress be for NYE? The beading is so pretty and I love the scalloped hemline. It's very "Great Gatsby" in my opinion. I'm kind of obsessed!
4. Speaking of obsessed... I wasn't really big on the poncho trend this season until I found this poncho and now I'm in love! I still don't know how these things would look on me... since I'm short I feel like it could make me look like I'm wearing a tent but I'm definitely tempted to buy it...
5. My mom got me this set from Sephora for Christmas and so far I LOVE it! The mascara is not clumpy and goes on really easily and gives me amazing, full lashes. The eyeliner too a bit of practice but once I got the hang of using the pen it gives you perfect lines and you can make them thick or thin. Definitely something i will probably purchase again!
Hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas and has a wonderful weekend as well! It's almost 2015 dolls! Wow!! I seriously can't believe it!
I actually had bought that exact dress for a great Gatsby party a few weeks ago, ha! Sadly it got returned because it ran small, but I was really impressed with the quality for the price. I also loved how the beading continues around the back. You can find it at necessaryclothing.com. The only annoying thing is returns at that site because you have to pay to ship anything back and have a shorter return period, unlike places like tobi. But it was worth it..the dress I did end up wearing to the party was from there too and so unique!
Oh I love playing Giant Jenga at bars too - very clever to make your own, can't wait to see how it turns out! Hope you continue having a great holiday weekend :)
I think a Giant Jenga game sounds awesome-- you make me wanna get one/make one now, lol!! We don't have plans for NYE yet either since I might work NYDay we're kinda playing things by ear until we know. WHODEY!
Giant Jenga sounds so fun! And I really like that poncho! :) Love your blog, hope to see you soon on my blog www.beneaththecoat.com or Bloglovin or Facebook :) Kisses from Zurich, K
i can't believe christmas is over already as well. oooh giant jenga! i say leave them because of all the knocking and falling, it might scratch up the paint etc. i got that mascara as well, freaking love it - except it is SO hard to get off! jeepers i thought i expected it and was prepared but i was not prepared for how much i had to wash my face to get the bloody stuff off.
That dress!! Way too cute! I actually have a poncho (shocker since I'm terrified to branch out, but never fear! I still haven't even tried it on, HA!) that I need to figure out how to style... or give to someone who's not afraid to wear it, HA! Can't wait to hear about your Christmas! Hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend!
