Happy Monday loves! Or should I say Happy Christmas week?! Although before Christmas is my dad's birthday so I guess I'll start with happy early birthday dad! I know a lot of people are probably traveling this week so I hope everyone has safe travels and gets to enjoy time with loved ones this week! I'm jealous of all of you that will be waking up to a white Christmas this year! It's been YEARS since I experienced that! I can't wait to hear all about everyone's Christmas next week but for now it's time to link up with one of my blogger besties, Biana, for our weekend recap!
I started out my weekend with the hubby's work Christmas party. While we didn't have an actual fireplace they did have a faux fireplace going on the tv's the whole time we were there which created that cozy feeling. Not to mention the decor was adorable, I was loving the little chandeliers above the bar!
Saturday morning was absolutely gorgeous so I went out to do a quick photo shoot by the water. I mean seriously, how gorgeous is this view? It's hard to believe it's mid/late December and it's still in the 70's and this pretty out!
After that I grabbed lunch. I can never say no to Mexican. I have a soft spot for queso and sangria... it's a curse I swear. Also the reason I can probably never go gluten free, dairy free or on a diet... Lucky for me I did some last minute shopping after this so hopefully I worked off some of those calories!
Saturday night I actually had three different sets of plans and ended up not doing any of them! Whoops. But we ended up going to a local brewery/tasting room and grabbing a pint and playing Jenga. Unfortunately not life sized Jenga but it was still fun!
Sunday I headed over to Tampa to watch the Green Bay Packers take on the Bucs. It wasn't the greatest game... for the Bucs but it was a good win for the Packers. I swear there were more Packer fans than Bucs fans! And the craziest thing happened when we were leaving. It started storming and right as we got to the car the closest lightning strike I've ever encountered hit and sent people scattering! Apparently it actually struck the ground in the parking lot near ours and sent 7 people to the hospital. Definitely thankful we had already made it to the car and that there were no serious injuries!
Like I said earlier, tomorrow is my dad's birthday so just wanted to show him a little love! Happy early birthday dad! Wish I was there to celebrate with you!!
Happy Friday lovelies! I'm not going to lie, I had every intention of taking today off from blogging since this week has been crazy ...
