Happy Halloween babes! It's a bittersweet day since tomorrow means my favorite season is officially over. I'll be soaking in all the Halloween I can for the rest of today and knowing me, probably for at least the rest of the week. Hocus Pocus will definitely be watched (again) tonight! I can't believe this day last year Kerri and I were getting ready to see Taylor Swift on her 1989 Tour. It doesn't feel like that long ago in some ways in others it feels way longer! Ok, enough with that. Let's jump into my rather boring (but much appreciated) weekend recap with Biana!

Friday was my work from home day so I got a ton of work done and managed to run a few errands including getting my first hot Starbucks of the year! After finally deciding to call it a night on my work I made dinner, curled up on the couch with a glass of wine and watched The Vampire Diaries before calling it a night. 

Saturday I woke up and ran a few more errands before heading home to watch UCF lose to Houston. I was pretty sure we were going to lose that game but I had hope when we were leading the entire game until a few minutes left in the game. You'd think I'd be used to us blowing it in the last few minutes but it still stings every time. Since it was a noon game I had the rest of the evening to enjoy playing with the fun Halloween Snapchat filters and doing some work.

Sunday was an all day football day. Literally. The Bengals played in England so we were up watching the game at 9:30 am and the only break I took was to run to the grocery store. Of course I did some blogging throughout the day because this week is going to be another busy one for me! All in all it was a nice relaxing weekend which is EXACTLY what I needed after the ridiculously busy week I had last week and am sure to have this week!

Happy Friday! Sorry for my spotty commenting/responding this week, it has been one of the busiest weeks I've had since I started here. I had planned on writing a blog post yesterday and then that didn't happen and then I thought I wouldn't even be able to post today but here I am! Ok, technically I'm cheating. I actually wrote this blog post for my work blog but I loved the cocktails I made so much that I just had to share them with you all! You all know how much I love my bubbly so if I had to choose I'd probably say the Apple Cider Mimosa is my favorite but I was really surprised at how yummy the others were as well. So without further adieu, here are the 5 fall cocktails you have to try!

Ingredients:

Directions: Add cinnamon and coarse sugar to a plate. Rim the edge of a glass with the cinnamon and sugar. Add a few apple slices to the bottom of the glass and top with ice. Add the Grand Mariner, gold tequila and apple cider to the glass and stir to mix. Garnish with an apple slice and a cinnamon stick.

2. Rosemary & Maple Bourbon Sour - This twist on a classic Bourbon Sour is really perfect for any time of year but the maple syrup gives it a fall feel.

Ingredients:

Directions: Add bourbon, lemon juice, maple syrup and rosemary simple syrup to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Strain mixture into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice. Garnish with rosemary sprig.

3. Apple Spiced Mimosas - Looking to spice up your mimosa? This is a perfect refreshing twist on everyone's favorite bubbly brunch beverage.

Ingredients:

Directions: Mix apple cider, cinnamon and nutmeg together in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Strain contents into a champagne flute. Top with champagne. Garnish with apple slice.

4. Harvest Shandy - Prefer fall beer over fall cocktails? I've got you covered! Spiced apple cider and pumpkin beer are the perfect combo for this easy and delicious shandy.

Ingredients:

Directions: Combine brown sugar, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg on a plate. Dip the rim on a pint glass in water and then carefully rim the glass in the spice mixture. Combine apple cider and pumpkin beer in glass and stir gently. Top with a dash of cinnamon (optional).

5. Autumn Spiced Rum Punch - Rum Punches are usually synonymous with summer but add a little apple and some spices and you've got yourself a perfectly fall cocktail!

Ingredients:

Directions: In a rocks glass filled with ice, combine spiced rum and apple cider and stir gently to mix. Top with hard cider and 2-3 dashes of lemon bitters. Add a dash of nutmeg and garnish with a cinnamon stick.

Ok, so I know it's an unwritten fashion rule that wearing white after Labor Day is a no-no but let's be real. Those rules were made back in the day where you only wore black to funerals and women weren't supposed to wear jeans at all so I'm making it my rule that I'm going to rock white all year long. And let's be real, when you're in Miami it doesn't matter what time of year it is, it's always acceptable to wear white!

This dress was actually the last dress I wore out in Miami when I was there last month and I seriously don't remember the last time I got so many compliments on an outfit! I knew I had to wear at least one all white outfit while I was in South Beach since everything on South Beach is white, black and white or white and blue. I really wish I would have had more time in South Beach to explore and take more pictures of the gorgeous Art Deco architecture while I was there! I honestly never had a huge desire to visit South Beach before this work trip but now that I've been there I will definitely be going back... but mainly for the food. Ok, now back to the outfit! I am obsessed with the different cutouts on this dress giving it texture to the all white. I usually don't buy a lot of things from H&M due to the quality but this dress doesn't feel or look at all like something you would normally get at H&M. The material is much heavier and even the back zipper is stitched in different. I topped off my look with my Jeffrey Campbell wedges of course. I could seriously walk for miles in those shoes which is a good thing since I did! What do you think about wearing white after Labor Day?

Happy Monday babes! Oh how I wish I was still in bed right now. Although if I had to guess I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels that way this morning. There are definitely not nearly enough days in the weekend for me to feel refreshed on Monday, even when I don't do a ton of things I still am never quite ready to start the work week. But I did have a good weekend, so I can't complain! Linking up with Biana for our weekend recap!

Friday started out with a headache that by the time I got to work had progressed into a lovely migraine. So needless to say, it was a pretty miserable day so by the time I got home from work I was ready to just do absolutely nothing and that's exactly what I did. After making dinner, I vegged out on the couch and watched tv until an acceptable Friday night bedtime... which happened to be around 10 pm.

Saturday morning I was feeling better so I headed to the gym bright and early for a quick workout before football started. UCF had an away game this week which means we got to watch the game from the comfort of the couch. We had a close game but managed to pull out a win, thankfully.

Saturday night I headed out to a work sponsored charity event in Winter Park called Cows 'n Cabs. I'll get into more detail on Cows 'n Cabs another time but basically it's like Food & Wine where you get to try a bunch of food from local restaurants and drink wine all for charity.  It was a gorgeous night and we had a blast!

Sunday was my chill day. The Bengals played the Browns so I curled up on the couch with my furbaby and watched my Bengals bring home a W!


Seriously... that face!!!! Obsessed.

Cheers to Friday! We are supposed to have an absolutely gorgeous weekend and I could not be more excited about it. Low's in the upper 50's and highs in the high 70's... fall is finally here (for the time being) in Florida.The every so slightly cooler temperatures definitely have me shopping for all the fall clothing and accessories! While it still feels a bit too warm out to break out the over the knee boots and leather jackets, I'm sharing a share a few of my favorite fall transition items!

1 // This textured knit pullover is so perfect for fall and it's under $40! I love the rust color (of course that means it's sold old) but the olive is a close second! 

2 // How perfect would the sweater above look with this scarf? I love the pattern and the colors. Give me all the pretty neutrals for fall!

3 // I feel like I've already blogged about this hat but...I've been on the hunt for the perfect gray floppy wool hat for fall and this one might be it! I love the color; not too dark, not too light and the leather detail is perfect. I actually want it in all the colors!

4 // This fun key chain is definitely on my wish list! I was never a huge fan of monograms before but I actually love the script on this one and the black and white dalmatian pattern with the gold text is so perfect and chic. Plus it'd look super cute with my GiGi tassel key chain I currently use!
5// Usually I am all about the dainty, thin rings but there is something about this cigar band that I have to have.  It's simple, chic and goes with anything and I love the way it looks layered!

Happy halfway day lovelies! This week has been a busy one so I am glad it's all down here from here. In fact, today and tomorrow I'm attending a digital marketing boot camp down by Universal Studios so I'll probably be MIA during that but in all honesty, I could use a little refresher. The only thing that really sucks about it is it's probably going to make for some long days the next two days. Blah. While I have been loving neutrals lately, when I saw this fun red top in H&M I knew I had to try it on. H&M is always super hit or miss for me so when I tried it on and it was actually cute on I was pleasantly surprised!

Even though it's starting to get cooler outside, it's still easily warm enough to wear tank tops so I decided I'd scoop this top up and I'm so happy I did!
This was another outfit I wore out in Miami for the event I attended last month and it was perfect for the slightly cooler, rainy day we had. I love the ruffled details and the strappy neckline and it was flowy enough that I felt comfortable completely stuffing my face with all the steak and truffle fries from STK at lunch. If you've never been to STK... delicious! We just recently had one open up here in Orlando but I hadn't checked it out yet and while it's not a restaurant I'd make an effort to go to on a regular basis, it definitely is yummy enough for me to make a trip down there for a special occasion! I finished off my look with a pair of white skinny jeans and my super comfy Jeffrey Campbell wedges since I knew I'd be walking a few miles. And my oversized Kate Spade tote was perfect for carrying two... yup two, SLR cameras and my iPad.

Happy happy Monday friends! Since Matthew rolled through last weekend we have been experiencing some slightly lower highs and definitely lower lows and I have been loving every minute of it. It's so nice waking up and not having it already be almost 80 degrees out. Granted it's still getting to the mid-80's during the day, it's nice to have those few hours in the morning and evening of upper 60's. And of course I definitely took full advantage this weekend! Friday was my work from home day so I enjoyed working from my patio in the morning before it warmed up.  After work we ran out and did a quick happy hour with Kerri to enjoy a bit more time outdoors.


Saturday I was up bright and early to head to my CycleBar class that I missed the previous weekend thanks to Hurricane Matthew. I have to admit, I've been doing spinning for years and these CycleBar classes really get me. I think seeing how I'm doing compared to other people in the class really pushes me harder... darn my competitive side!


After getting cleaned up from my workout it was time to get ready for the UCF tailgate. It was an evening game against Temple so the weather was perfect and I always love getting to watch my boys under the lights even though it was a heartbreaking loss in the last 30 seconds.


Sunday was relax day. After running some errands I parked it on my couch for football and food. I decided to try out a few more DIY projects while watching football to keep me entertained while my poor Bengals got destroyed by the Patriots.

Happy Friday dolls! We made it through another week! I'm trying to get back on the posting on Friday train even though it's usually my super busy day at work and I have a hard time replying/commenting back. I promise to try my best today although I do have a ton of work already piled up waiting for me. Lately I've been having a really hard time trying to fit everything I have to do throughout the day in 24 hours. Please tell me I'm not the only one with that problem? 1 // I have been in love with these Stuart Weitzman boots for...well... forever. But no matter how hard I try I just can't bring myself to spend almost $800 on a pair of boots, especially down here in Florida where I can wear them maybe 3 months out of the year. Maybe. So when I saw these for literally a fraction of the cost and the cute tassels I was sold! It will still be awhile before I can wear them but I am obsessed!

2 //  I found my new favorite go-to lip color for fall! Mac Whirl is such a great every day lip color that is under the "nude" family but reminds me more of a dusty rose color.
3 // I love this bell sleeve top! It's perfect for fall/winter and can be easily dressed up and down. It's definitely classic and fun!
4 // These L'Oreal Pure-Clay Masks are amazing! I've been loving the Purify one on my t-zone to help minimize my pores and help with oil and the Exfoliate one is great to use a few times a week to get that deep exfoliation.
5 //I am trying SO hard to find a place for this on the wall of my office because it is just too darn cute! It's not overly large but it's not small enough to fit on the wall next to my window but I'm determined to find a place for it because it's definitely coming home with me!

Happy humpday loves! Thank goodness we are half way through the week already! Last week was such a mess with the hurricane coming through so I'm extremely happy this week is more normal even though Monday and Tuesday were both super busy trying to get caught up. I know we're supposed to be starting to get into fall fashion but last night I was watching WAGS: Miami (side note: those girls are so much drama! I thought the regular WAGS were a lot but man oh man...) which reminded me that I managed to get some shots in while I was in Miami that I hadn't shared yet... whoops!

If you follow me on Instagram you saw this outfit already; which happens to be the outfit I wore on my first and only "free" day while in Miami and it was the perfect outfit for being out exploring on a hot and humid Sunday. I love how lightweight and flowy this Lush top is and it was the perfect amount of casual chic for walking around South Beach. Since I was planning on doing some walking along the beach I paired it with some denim shorts and comfy sandals, although I have to say, some of the the things people wear to the beach in Miami cracks me up! It was almost impossible not to laugh at the girls attempting to walk through the sand in their heels/wedges, draped in jewelry with their hair and makeup done. After doing some exploring and people watching this was the perfect outfit to enjoy happy hour in!

Happy Monday friends! Thanks for understanding my absence on Friday. We actually lost internet and cell data through Saturday so from around 2 am Friday through Saturday afternoon my cell phone was nothing more than something I could make calls and text with and my computer... well it was pretty much useless. This weekend was an interesting one to say the least. I originally had a ton of plans scheduled but they all got canceled due to Hurricane Matthew but I can't complain. We were projected to get hit way worse than we did so I am definitely thankful there. Linking up with B for my weekend recap.

Friday our office was closed due to Hurricane Matthew so I was at home all day riding out the storm. Other than some pretty strong winds, we really lucked out this time. The fence that goes around my neighborhood was completely destroyed on one side and like I said, we have no internet or cellular data but we only lost power off and on so it wasn't too bad. We ventured out when the mandatory curfew was lifted to try to find a place to eat but everyone else had the same idea so we ended up at Wendy's. Nothing like a gourmet meal, right?

Saturday was absolutely gorgeous out. I enjoyed my morning tea outside on the back porch before heading to yoga for a bit of relaxing after a stressful few days. Then I was determined to get out of the house so Kerri, the boys and I headed out for drinks and football.

Sunday was for errands and of course more football! I did some diy projects at home, some turned out great and some not so much... and the weather was gorgeous!
