Happy Friday and Happy Halloween everyone!! I cannot believe October is over today! Dear 2014, please slow down a little!! I haven't decided whether I want to do anything tonight or not, truthfully I'm feeling a bit lazy and it's supposed to get pretty chilly tonight so I kinda just want to curl up on the couch, watch a scary movie and eat candy. While I'm deciding what I want to do tonight I'm linking up with Amanda for our Friday Favorites.

I've been seeing a lot of blogger breaking out the midi skirts for fall and that made me super jealous. While it isn't quite the cooler fall temperatures here yet (although I hear they are coming this weekend!) I couldn't see any reason I couldn't break out my midi skirt. This is by far one of my favorite midi skirts, from the color to the material and especially the pockets! Every time I put it on I feel a bit vintage which is a fun way for me to mix it up!

I knew our fall-ish weather wouldn't last long. It's already back to being in the upper 80's during the day but I really can't complain. It gives me a chance to spend some time by the pool and who doesn't want to enjoy pool time in late October? Originally I was supposed to be going on a cruise to the Bahamas next week so I bought this gorgeous maxi to wear while I was there.

October Birchbox Review

I feel like it's been awhile since I did a Birchbox review. Mainly because I obviously haven't had the best luck with the products I've been receiving but this month seems to be better so I figured why not do a review? I'm definitely still looking to try out another box but I am glad Birchbox seems to be stepping up their game and giving out better product samples. I just wish the samples were a bit bigger!

Happy Monday dolls! I'm finally back in Florida and getting a chance to relax after a crazy busy weekend! Apparently while I was in Mobile the weather in Florida decided to act more like fall so I've been loving the cooler temperatures and the clear blue skies but I heard it's supposed to go back up in the high 80's this week so it's looking like it's short lived. I can't believe it's already the last week of October too! Where did this month go? Well time to link up with the beautiful Biana for our last weekend recap of October!

Happy Friday dolls! Sorry for my lack of response yesterday, I was on my way to Mobile, AL which happens to be a fun 8 hour drive and cell reception in the middle of no where is spotty at best. Unfortunately I will be as MIA today as I was yesterday but I promise I appreciate all the love and will read every comment as soon as I get back to Florida (which probably won't be until SUPER late tonight). Some Days You Just Can't Fake It

Being completely honest here, I came thisclose to not even posting these pictures. I was feeling pretty down this day and just couldn't bring myself to fake smile so looking through these pictures I just felt like I looked miserable. But the one thing I've learned from being a "fashion blogger" is that it's not always easy. In fact it's actually a lot harder than I ever thought it would be! Some days you have to be happy and suck it up even when you don't feel like it. I've definitely realized I wouldn't make a good model! ;)

First off, I want to say thank you to everyone who sent prayers and well wishes my way yesterday. My grandmother made it through surgery fine and is in recovery. The biopsy results won't come back until Friday so we won't know the extent of anything until then. I definitely appreciate all the comments and love, I was pretty nervous about it. Also, if you read my post yesterday you know I had a pretty rough weekend so I apologize in advance for this week's pictures. I definitely wasn't feeling like getting all dressed up so this week is a pretty basic week but I figure since this is my blog-ary (blog + diary... get it?) it's only appropriate that I keep it real, right?

Wow. What a weekend. It's not often that I'm happy a weekend is over but I'm not complaining this Monday. My faith, courage and strength was definitely tested this weekend and probably will continue to be tested for the next several weeks but I am hoping that I can find the courage within me to keep putting one foot in front of the other and keep breathing. Life is too short to give up or wallow in things beyond your control and that is going to be my motto moving forward. Lately I've almost felt like I've had this sixth sense about things and the thing that had me down a few weeks ago ended up actually becoming a reality. Happy Friday lovelies! I feel like this week went by really slow but at the same time I can't believe October is more than half over already! Where does the time go? This weekend is looking like semi-busy one which I can handle and the weather is supposed to be amazing so I'm pretty excited! My parents have some extra time off and are trying to figure out whether to come visit me next week or not. If they do I might be a little more MIA than usual since I only get to see them a few times a year. If they decide not to come because they don't want to fly I can't say I blame them! I really wanted to go on a little weekend getaway some where but with all of this crazy ebola stuff I don't even want to fly. I have been obsessed with Tieks for awhile but haven't been able to bring myself to spend that much on a pair of ballet flats. Don't get me wrong... I'll probably take the plunge one day and get a pair and don't ask me why I'm hesitant about spending $200 on ballet flats but own two pairs of $200+ Tory Burch sandals but I'm weird like that. I think I try to justify it as I wear sandals more than any other shoes but who knows. But given my hesitation toward spending that much on Tieks I happened to stumble upon another pair of foldable flats for MUCH cheaper!

Casual And Cozy

Continuing my enthusiasm for mixing summer and fall trends today I decided to post an outfit you would easily see me rocking on a weekend... like this past Sunday :) For some reason I have a love for sweaters or long sleeves and shorts. Maybe it's because I get cold easily and usually my upper body gets cold first or maybe it's some unknown reason I'll never fully understand but either way, this is definitely my seasonal transition outfit.

Ok, so it's not really sweater weather down here yet. It's still scorching hot here during the day so I haven't gotten to break out as many fall trends as I'd like but I have been trying to throw some fall into my wardrobe without looking completely silly or passing out from heat exhaustion. Lucky for me I'm usually cold so sporting a sweater in 80 degree temperatures doesn't affect me too bad. You'll usually catch me carrying around a cardigan even in the dead heat of summer just in case I go to a restaurant that happens to be freezing.

Happy Monday dolls! I can't believe another weekend is over! I swear the weekends aren't long enough to get everything I want to do done. I actually had a pretty relaxing weekend this weekend which was a nice change of pace. I definitely needed it to catch up on my sleep from Thursday night. This weekend has the potential to be another busy weekend so glad I got to relax while I had the chance! Happy Friday dolls! Or in my case... Happy Fri-yay! I am so happy it's finally Friday. I feel like this week dragged and I'm not going to lie, I'm beyond dragging this morning. Back to back weeks of Thursday night games is definitely taking it's toll on me. We won them both... in REALLY close games so I guess I can't complain but I am so ready for bed... already. Last night went to overtime too and I was having flashbacks of the triple overtime UF game really hoping it didn't come to that. I love my Knights but I'd appreciate more weekend games! I guess I can't complain too much though, it frees up my weekends for other things! Enough complaining, it's time to link up with the lovely Amanda and Christina for our Friday Favorites!

Happy Thursday dolls! Even though it's warmed up quite a bit here since the weekend cool-down, I am still fall dreaming. Although I'm sure I won't be complaining about our warmer temperatures when I'm at the UCF game tonight since I much prefer warmer games than cool! But since I've been dreaming of cozy sweaters, booties, fun wool hats and of course apple cider and s'mores I definitely wanted to share some of my fall must haves... you know, for when it eventually gets cooler!

My excitement and joy of the cooler weather that hit Florida this weekend has already come and gone. It's already back in the upper 80's but at least the humidity seems to be in check. But of course the warmer temperatures mean back to wearing more summer like outfits instead of fall so the sweaters are getting put away for the next cool day. Until then at least I get to break out my cute sundresses and layer!

I hadn't originally planned on doing a post when I originally wore this outfit two weeks ago out to dinner with some friends but when I posted a shot of the clutch and booties on Instagram and Biana posted that I had better do an outfit post I figured why not? I really do love this tank top and the booties... well they've been my favorite booties for awhile now so it makes sense to do a post on it! For some reason whenever I go out I always turn to black as my outfit go to, probably because I love to wear a fun bold lip or shoes and I feel like black is always my safest bet!

Happy Monday dolls! It really is a beautiful day here in Florida today. We had a bit of a cold front go through Saturday night so it finally feels a bit like fall here. I could not be happier about that either! I love the cool, brisk air so I've been trying to spend as much time as possible outside before it goes back to scorching hot (I'm ~~secretly~~ hoping it won't) again. Happy, happy Friday dolls! We made it through another week! I don't know about you but I'm still in shock it's already October. Where has this year gone?!? I'm definitely super jealous of all my blogger friends up north (which is pretty much everyone) who are getting to experience a real fall. Although I guess I'll just be thankful it isn't raining... yet. Hopefully I'll get to relax some tonight before my busy Saturday since I'm pretty tired from staying up super late for the UCF game last night. Just throwing it out there, I am NOT a fan of Thursday night games. Lucky me I get to go to one next week... no bueno! A Little Bit Country

Happy October and hump day!! I can't believe it's already October... which happens to be my favorite month out of the year! I'm headed to watch one of my all time favorite Halloween movies, Hocus Pocus, tonight at a local theater and I am SO exited! Ok, now on to the outfit... I bought these boots last year when I went to the Taylor Swift concert (because you have to wear boots to a "country" concert, duh) and since then I've only found a few other reasons to wear them but I decided I was definitely breaking them out again this weekend. Consider it my desire for fall, or just the fact that I feel like plaid and cowboy boots go so well together but either way, it was happening.
