Sequins and Sea Breezes: Weekending

Weekending

10/27/2014

Happy Monday dolls! I'm finally back in Florida and getting a chance to relax after a crazy busy weekend! Apparently while I was in Mobile the weather in Florida decided to act more like fall so I've been loving the cooler temperatures and the clear blue skies but I heard it's supposed to go back up in the high 80's this week so it's looking like it's short lived. I can't believe it's already the last week of October too! Where did this month go? Well time to link up with the beautiful Biana for our last weekend recap of October!

My weekend technically started on Thursday when we started the 8 hour drive up to Mobile, Alabama. Being completely honest, I'm not the best road trip person. As much as I love traveling I hate the process of getting to my final destination, whether it be by plane, car or otherwise. We ended up getting to Mobile around 3 pm and it was a gorgeous day up there, unfortunately we didn't really get to enjoy it since we were up there for family obligations and not vacation.

On Friday before heading back (yes, we drove 8 hours up and 8 hours back in about 36 hours total) we decided to get lunch on the bay which had gorgeous views of the Gulf Coast.

I'm not really much of a seafood person so I went with chicken Alfredo and it was amazing. Downtown Mobile was definitely prettier than I thought it would be. I'm not sure if there's much to do there since we didn't get to explore much but the skyline was pretty and you can't beat the Gulf Coast views!

Saturday was of course dedicated to UCF football. Since it was our Homecoming game we had to do some tailgating before the game. We didn't get out there as early as we planned but given we had just got back to Florida like 10 hours earlier (if that) I was happy we got any tailgating in at all!

Got to see some of my favorite ladies tailgating and UCF actually didn't give me a heart attack and won with a decent margin. I always love when we wear the black jerseys too so it was a good day!

Sunday I got to spend relaxing and doing some blog stuff! Football started early Sunday, kick off for the first game was at 9:30 am from London! I missed most of the game to grab brunch but I'm not a huge fan of either team so skipping football for food is not a bad thing in my opinion.

Hope everyone has an amazing week!

  24. Sounds like a fun weekend, but boo on all the driving. I am not a very good road trip person, I'd rather fly but driving takes soooo long. That chicken alfredo looks delish - i love seafood but I love it in Sydney, haven't tried a lot here that is as good.
