Leather and neon, two of my favorite things right now! I found these shorts on sale at Necessary Clothing for only $10 so I had to buy them. I love the sporty look they have with the dolphin hem. This style of shorts was really popular in the 80's but seems to be making a comeback which I'm perfectly fine with because they're really comfy! I decided to go basic with this outfit and pair a simple white lightweight sweater with the shorts and throw my hair up in a ponytail. Ok, I'll admit, that wasn't exactly a planned thing but my hair is in desperate need of a cut so it wasn't looking so cute down and my sock bun contraption wasn't around so up was my best option. I'm seriously the worst at doing my own hair. I can't curl it and get it to stay, I can't braid my hair, and the top knot is impossible. I always blame it on my fine, thin hair but maybe it's just me? *UPDATE: I'm getting my hair did tonight. Wish me luck* Ok, so back to the outfit. To top of my look I threw on my favorite neon yellow heels for that extra pop of color.
Ignore the giant bruise on my thigh (yeah, if you didn't notice before I'm sure you're going to go back and look now so maybe I shouldn't have said anything). I tried to cover that sucker up with makeup but it was not having it. Funny enough I don't even know where I got that one from! I have a giant one on my shine that at least I know where it came from (it was a tragic accident involving a putter and me not paying attention) but at least it was nice enough to disappear with a little concealer. If you're keeping score Me -1 Bruise - 1.

For this post I paired up with the lovely Paige from Life's A Party Dress Like It to do a East vs West Coast style on winter whites. Paige is a Cali girl whose personality and sense of style is so similar to mine it's almost scary! We both even did the sock bun without knowing the other was doing it until we exchanged pictures! After exchanging e-mails for the past few weeks it definitely feels like we've known each other for years instead of just a few weeks.
To not only keep up with each other's style but to show our readers how the East Coast and the West Coast wears a trend we decided to do a monthly collab so keep an eye out!

Go home Florida weather, you're drunk! Ok so maybe it isn't THAT bad, it really is starting to level off (I totally just jinxed us again, I swear I'm knocking on wood right now my Florida friends) but it was going from hot to cold in less than a day span and I'm pretty sure that contributed to my current illness. <- Yes, I'm STILL sick :( Although our winter's aren't nearly as bad as up north it was definitely on the chillier side when I did this shoot so I decided to go a little more winter than my previous posts and wear these gorgeous subtle baroque print skinny jeans from Guess and an off-white sweater from Tobi. I absolutely love the subtle print on these jeans (if you recall I also own them in black and wore them for this post!) they''re classy and trendy without being too over the top. Do you ever find yourself buying multiple of the same thing that you love?

My mom actually found this dress for me on a shopping trip at H&M while she was in town. I fell in love with the print, she fell in love with the style! Sometimes I'm a bit iffy about the scuba style dresses because they show every little thing but this one seemed to fit perfectly and it was only $17.95 so I couldn't pass it up! It's actually a tank dress so since it's still a bit chilly out in the shade I decided to pair it with a velvet moto jacket I got from H&M back in November for only $19.95 and a pair of strappy heels. These are totally my go-to heels when I don't want to distract from the outfit. I love these heels though, they are so comfy and cute. They have them in spring colors now and I'm eyeing a pair of mint ones for my spring wardrobe. ;)
