Happy humpday friends! I hope everyone is having a fabulous week so far! I'm still having a hard time grasping that Christmas is the next holiday and it's less than a month away. I should probably start shopping, huh? Every year I say I'm going to get all my shopping done early and every year Christmas sneaks up on me and I end up rushing. I'm nothing if not consistent. Speaking of consistent, can we talk about how I stepped out of my consistent comfort zone of wearing neutrals with this bright blue top? 

Ironically blue is my favorite color yet for some reason it's the color I have the least of in my closet. I had been wanting this thermal tunic since it first came out a few months ago and I spotted a few of my favorite bloggers rocking it but it was just too hot out for me to even think about long sleeves until recently. We've finally started to get some consistently cool weather so when I saw it go on sale during the Black Friday sales I knew I had to get it. Ironically it's cheaper now since it went on major sale for Cyber Monday (which goes through today!) but oh well. I had originally wanted it in a neutral (surprise, surprise) but when I saw this blue in person, I just couldn't pass it up. I absolutely love the over-sized fit of the top (it would have been perfect for Thanksgiving face stuffing) and I'm a sucker for the little thumb holes on the sleeves. I have a habit of pulling my sleeves down over my hands when I'm cold any way and this makes it much easier to do. I am all about the cute comfort during the colder months so be prepared to see this top on repeat and who knows, I might even be buying it in another color before the end of the day since it's currently less than $40! Happy Monday my little turkeys! I hope everyone had a fabulous long weekend. I don't know about anyone else but I'm feeling nice and refreshed today. I wish we had more 4-day weekends, it's nice to just have a few extra days to recharge the batteries. 

Wednesday after work, Kerri, the group and I headed over to Kate's for a nice, low-key birthday celebration. We had some delicious apps, some bubbles and lots of laughs playing Cards Against Humanity. The weather was super nice so we sat outside and enjoyed the fire pit which was nice and relaxing.

Thursday was of course Thanksgiving. We stayed local and just relaxed at home, made tons of food and watched football. We have a tradition of smoking a turkey every year and this year did not disappoint, it was amazing. Sadly I completely failed on taking any pictures of the food but I did get lots of puppy snuggles which were well documented. 

Friday was the start of rivalry weekend for college football. UCF played long-time in-state rivals USF, at home so we headed down to take in the festivities. It wasn't the nicest day but the weather didn't keep the stadium from being packed. It was SUCH an intense game, a lot of back and forth, with the craziest moments of the game happening in the last few minutes of the game. Luckily we were able to pull out the win but despite being one of two remaining top 25 ranked teams that are still undefeated, we don't have a chance at the playoffs. We won't even get in to how corrupt that system is.

Saturday was for recovery. I woke up with no voice, my ears ringing and my entire body sore from jumping up and down and being so tense during the day. I did some early morning yoga then spent the day on the couch before running out to do a few errands and then watching a movie before calling it an early night. 

Sunday I was finally feeling recovered so I started my morning off with a run and a delicious homemade keto breakfast. I decided to give the keto diet a try this week to try to detox a bit so wish me luck!

Happy Monday beauties! I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! Our weather was absolutely glorious here and I took every advantage I could to be outside and enjoy it. But today I'm not talking about my weekend, I'm talking about something I got to do before my weekend started. On Thursday my girl Kerri and I attended the grand opening of the brand new, gorgeous facility, Windermere Dental & Medical Spa and I just had to share our night with you.
 Kerri had been getting her eyebrows microbladed by Maegen, one of the owners of Windermere Dental & Medical Spa, for awhile (she's shared that experience on her blog so if you haven't checked it out, you need to!) so when she told Kerri she was opening a new spa and invited us to the grand opening, we knew we had to check it out. The event happened to coincide with Novie's second chemo treatment so I was extremely rushed to get ready and hesitant about going at all but I had made the commitment to go before Novie got diagnosed and to be honest, a fun girl's night out was definitely needed.

They definitely spared no expense on the decor and asthetic of the building. Every detail was obviously well thought out and despite the facility being both a dental and medical spa, the flow was seamless and everything felt very welcoming. One of the things I love is that not only do they offer a wide range of procedures at the spa but they also sell many products to take home that you can't find just any where. Living in Florida, we have to be extremely careful about taking care of our skin and when I saw that they carried one of my favorite sunscreen brands Colorescience, which is usually available online only, I knew they knew their stuff.

I have yet to participate in any of the procedures that Windermere Dental & Medical Spa offer but when and if I do decide to get anything done, I will definitely be going to Maegan and Dr. Jordan Kennedy. And I promise if and when I do that I will fully share my experience with you all! But for now, enjoy these pictures I took from the event and tell me this place isn't amazing.

Happy humpday babes! Before I get into today's post I wanted to give a little update on my pup for anyone who is wondering. His second chemo treatment is tomorrow. We should know from there whether the first chemo treatment did anything or if we might have to look at increasing the frequency of his treatments. The meds he's on for his heart condition have been giving him some stomach issues so I have an appointment with a holistic vet Friday afternoon to see about getting him on a better diet and/or seeing about other natural options for some of the meds he's on. Thank you to everyone who has continued to check in on us and I'll have a further update next week!

Our weather has been weird lately. We had a few pretty chilly days but now we've gotten warmer again so I'm taking advantage while I can. This top is one that I got back in spring but didn't get to wear it much because it got too hot out so I was excited to break it out again. I love going shopping in my own closet and finding things I haven't worn for awhile and getting to style them again. For this look I decided to dress up my favorite destroyed skinny jeans a little. I'm sure you all are getting sick of seeing these by now but I seriously live in these jeans, they are so comfy! I have them in dark denim, light denim and I recently bought them in black denim so be prepared to see these a LOT. In honor of Taylor's new cd dropping on Friday, I decided to rock the minimal makeup with a bold red lip look. Has anyone else listened to the new cd? If so, what do you think?

Happy Monday friends! If you saw last week, I had a bit of an incident that required me to get a new phone and after discussing it with my blogger bestie, Biana, I decided to upgrade and get the iPhone 8 Plus. As someone who really didn't want a larger phone, I was extremely hesitant about getting the Plus but I really wanted the upgraded camera so I sucked it up and got it. Within hours I was immediately used to the size and my little iPhone 6 felt tiny and so much more breakable. And honestly, the camera is beyond worth the upgrade. So today I'm doing a good 'ol fashioned Weekending post, sharing all the pictures I took this weekend with my iPhone 8 Plus. 

Friday was my work from home day so I decided to indulge in some Culver's for lunch because Friday is so much better with a million calories. 

After work I ran a few errands and popped in for a glass of wine to start the weekend. I also managed to finish Stranger Things 2 Friday, has any one else finished? Care to discuss? 

Saturday was for snuggles with my sweet little furbaby while watching UCF bring home it's 9th win of the season! I'm still in shock that we're doing this well this year but I'm not complaining. I'm hoping we're able to keep our coach after the season but with all the rumors swirling around, I'm not counting on it.

After football it was time for some pizza and wine before binge watching The Exorcist to get caught up. Does anyone else watch that? If so, tell me I'm not the only one that thinks this season is crazy?! SO much scarier than last season!

Sunday was spent running errands before meeting up with Kerri for an end of the weekend bevvie and some vacation planning.

Guys, how is it not Friday yet? This week was a doozy before it even started. Sunday I headed up to Jacksonville to watch the Jags take on the Bengals (my current hometown team against my original hometown team) so I was pretty excited. If you've been to an NFL game you know a few years ago they changed it so women are no longer permitted to bring purses into the stadium unless they're clear. So I opted to just bring my phone, my ID and my credit card and called it a day. I'm uber careful with my phone and it's in a case so I wasn't too worried about it, I held it in my hands the entire game so it didn't accidentally fall out of my pocket or off my lap and when I went to the bathroom I even opted to put it on the floor (super gross, I know) instead of on top of the toilet paper holder to keep it from falling off. By now I'm sure you can see where this is going... after going to the bathroom in the 4th quarter I was at the sink washing my hands with my phone resting on the sink when I got a text message and my phone vibrated right off the sink face down onto the concrete floor. I didn't even have to pick it up to know it was shattered. With everything that has been going on with Novie, I knew I was due for an upgrade (I had the iPhone 6) but was trying to hold out as long as possible, especially with the holidays literally weeks away.
Needless to say, one shattered iPhone 6 later and I am now the proud (?) owner of an iPhone 8. Thanks to all the ladies who offered advice when I was hesitant to upgrade. I seriously thought about saving money and just replacing the screen but I'm also having battery issues so it just made sense. If I had a 7 I would have never even considered upgrading but I'm like 3 phone models behind so it made sense. So yeah, after that unexpected expense I probably won't be buying too many new clothes for fall/winter so be prepared to see some outfits on repeat! And if I seem like I'm pushing my affiliate links a little harder the next few months... well that's why! But at least I'm being honest :)
Ok, enough of the negative. Can we talk about my absolute favorite tank and bralette? I wore this outfit with Kerri to the Third Eye Blind concert a few weeks ago (but with Converse instead of booties since it was rainy) and it was the perfect outfit for the weather. This tank has the perfect amount of drape to be sexy yet still not showing off too much and incredibly comfy. And as you've seen from my Instagram page, I literally live in this bralette. It is the most comfy and cute bralette I've ever owned and Kerri actually bought it herself while we were out shopping that day. I've been wearing it with everything from tanks to tees to even sweaters and it's always the perfect touch of lace. Once my spending freeze is lifted I will definitely be scooping it up in other colors!

Happy Monday friends! I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend. If you follow me on Instastories, you saw that I ran into a bit of extra traffic on Friday thanks to a plane needing to make an emergency landing on the road I was on. Yeah, you can't make this stuff up! So needless to say, I was in dire need of an adult bevvie to turn the start of my weekend around and put it in the positive direction. Luckily Duffy's Sports Grill happens to be right off of I4 and the perfect spot to stop for happy hour. Alright, so technically saying "happy hour" at Duffy's is a bit misleading since it's always happy hour there but you get the point. I mean, any place that has the slogan, "We don't limit happy to an hour" is definitely a winner in my opinion.


If their all day 2-4-1 happy hour isn't enough, they have an deliciously diverse menu providing something for everyone. We decided to start out with the gummy bear mojito and cotton candy martini. Seriously, how can you not love a cocktail that includes dessert? The gummy bear mojito was a bit sweet in my opinion but the cotton candy martini was perfect! Some people put the cotton candy into the martini but I opted to just eat it, don't judge me.


So we could enjoy dessert, we opted to skip out on an appetizer but they had a ton of options that looked amazing. I already can't wait to go back and get the mozzarella sticks! Their dinner menu has everything from wings and burgers to rice bowls and pasta and even ribs and fish so when I say there's something for everyone, I wasn't kidding. They even have some gluten free options for gluten sensitive people like myself. I opted for the blackened beef tips with mashed potatoes and a horseradish dipping sauce. The tips were nice and tender and seasoned perfectly and light enough for me to not be stuffed to the point where I felt like I needed to be rolled out!


I'm not usually a huge sweets person but I'm the first to admit I'm a sucker for a good key lime pie so when I saw it on the menu I knew I had to have it and every bite was totally worth it!

Whether you're looking for a place to have a drink and watch the game on Sunday or take the family out to dinner, Duffy's is a perfect choice.
