Yay! It's Friday, Friday. Gotta get down on Friday, everybody's looking forward to the weekend!

Yup, I just went there, while I'm chowing down on my Frosted Flakes straight out the box at work probably annoying the crap out of the 5 other people who are here right now (sorry guys!). All I can think of while I'm eating these is the "crunch a munch a, crunch a munch a Fritos on my sub!" since that's pretty much what it sounds like. Since giving up bread I've reverted into an 8 year old kid with my breakfast habits and cereal is my go to choice in the morning. Only 25 more days to go...

1. Absolutely loving this quote. I don't feel like I have the greatest fashion sense, in fact most of the time I feel like there's nothing in my closet worth sharing because my style isn't anything great, it's just me. A lot of times I don't put a whole lot of thought or effort into what I'm wearing and sometimes I look at something and think to myself that I shouldn't wear that but why not? Rules were meant to be broken, right?

2. I just discovered Lush (I'm a little late to the party, I know) but I absolutely love their stuff so far. I just got this facial cleanser this week but I'm already in love with it. It's a bit strange at first. I won't even tell you what I was thinking when I first put it on because we probably wouldn't be friends any more, but I love the way my skin feels after using it! I haven't been using it that long but once I have I'll write up a little review!

3. I am obsessed with this fireplace mantel! I love the stone work, the candles, the wall mounted tv above the fireplace. SO much gorgeous all in one place. Oh and did I mention it was a complete DIY project? Yeah, crazy right? You can see the before and after pictures and read the DIY instructions on Love and Bellinis (how cute is that blog name?). I'm definitely thinking of giving this a try when I buy a new house!

4. Totally lusting after the Essie 2014 Resort collection. I've been fighting the urge to spend $17 on these but I don't think I'm going to win the battle much longer. I especially love that lighter blue (Find Me An Oasis) and the neutral color (Cocktails and Coconuts). We won't go into what I've been calling the neutral color (again, we probably wouldn't be friends after that).

5. Since I'm on this "healthier" kick, and I say healthier because let's be real, I could never be a truly healthy eater. I like queso, biscuits and gravy and Reese Peanut Butter Cups WAY too much to ever be truly healthy. Oh and parmesan truffle fries. And country fried steak. Oh and key lime pie... ok, you get the idea! But since I'm trying this whole 30 day challenge thing I was super excited when I found this recipe for a skinny beer-garita on Eat Yourself Skinny. I seriously love her recipes and I've tried some of her skinny drink ideas in the past and have never been disappointed. I'm definitely trying this one this weekend. Beer + tequila + 230 calories = super happy me!

I totally need one of those beer-garitas now. I just found out one of my favorite NFL players just got traded from the Jags to the Raiders. Really? It's been a tough few years for the Jags but I've stood behind them and tried to remain a loyal fan (I have spent a bit more time cheering for my Bengals recently but in all fairness they are my original team!) but getting rid of Maurice Jones-Drew is getting close to crossing the line Jags. You BETTER have some good draft picks (Blake Bortles *cough cough*) this year to make up for that let down!

Oh Florida. Why do you do this to me? It's nice and warm out one day and in the 40's the next, that's just not nice. I'm ready for Mother Nature to make up her mind (and that goes for all over, not just Florida) and either be hot or be cold. I prefer hot but I'd be satisfied with no more crazy temperature swings. Sorry, I think I'm a bit crabby this week. Today marks 3 weeks with no coffee and this week I decided to start a bikini challenge which also means no soda or bread for 30 days. Trust me, I'm not one to diet, in fact this is the first "diet" I've ever done but I figured 30 days isn't THAT long so why not? I'm on day 3 and I'm ready to quit. I swear when I'm told I can't have a food it makes me want it a million times more. It was National Waffle Day yesterday. Who knows that? A girl who can't have waffles, that's who. If I wasn't on this diet not only would I not care about having waffles, I wouldn't even know it was National Waffle Day!! Ok, enough complaining.
I got this top last year from Sophie & Trey and I'm still in love with it! I love the bright orange color and the cut of it and how easily it can be dressed up or down. They don't have it in the orange right now but they do have it in mint and yellow which I guess are more "spring" but I don't care, I'm still rocking the bright orange! I wore this out for drinks on my trip to Cincinnati last year and paired it with wedges, white capris and a statement necklace but this time I decided to go in an opposite direction. I went minimal on my jewelry and paired it with jeans and simple nude heels from Aldo so it was more appropriate for day time. I love pieces in my wardrobe that are so versatile! Had I not worn this top with heels and wore it with flats and shorts it probably would have had a completely different look to it. Although I will say, this top probably looks better when I have more of a tan going on... ;)

I had to make a trip up to Jacksonville this weekend for a family party and I knew I had to stop by the beach while I was up there. Surprisingly, even though I live in Florida I don't go to the beach that often... if I go 2-3 times that's a lot for me. Which is sad because I love going to the beach but it's an hour drive away and parking is ridiculous if you get there too late in the afternoon so I usually just park it at my pool with a book. I knew I wasn't going to get a whole day at the beach since the party was at 3:30 so I figured just stopping by and reminding myself there are beaches in Florida would be good enough for me. I usually live in maxi dresses or skirts on the weekend so this weekend was no exception. I got this maxi from Target ages ago but I still am obsessed with it. I love the colors in it and the way it fits. I also love that it's not cotton so I feel like that makes it a bit more dressy than your average cotton maxi. I decided to go pretty simple with this look especially since I knew I'd be running around chasing little kids and little kids and accessories do not mix well together (at least in scenarios I've experienced!). I also attempted to curl my hair (for those who don't know, I'm the worst girl ever, I can't do my own hair to save my life and I'm not so great at doing my own makeup either. I feel bad if I ever have a little girl because she definitely will not be sporting cute little braids) but the curls fell out right about the time I walked onto the beach. Oh and yes, I had to include the picture of me screaming in surprise when the water came up and hit my ankles. That water was COLD! I don't know how these tourists get out there when the water is still that cold but more power to them, I'll stay on the sand in the warmth! Hope everyone had an amazing weekend!
