Sequins and Sea Breezes: Happy Opening Day(ish)!

Happy Opening Day(ish)!

3/31/2014

Happy Opening Day!! Ok, so technically Opening Day/Night was yesterday but it is Opening Day for the Reds and that's all I really care about! While I admit, I don't watch a ton of baseball down here (baseball is SO boring on tv) baseball is a BIG thing up in Cincinnati so I still follow the Reds. Last year I got to experience my first Reds game in the new stadium, The Great American Ballpark and I was super excited. I moved before the built the new stadium so I had never even seen it in person. I wore this exact shirt to that game and loved every second of it! I love the fun sequins that give the shirt a subtle shimmer, and the cropped fit that makes it youthful and fun. This time it was a bit cooler out (and breezy) so I decided to pair it with jeans and red wedges but as you can see from the pictures below, August in Cincy is hot so I paired it with shorts and comfy sandals.
{My seats weren't the greatest but I still had a blast!}
{I absolutely adore the Cincinnati skyline! And what's a baseball game without a beer?}

If you love sports and haven't checked out the Victoria's Secret collegiate and pro lines you totally should! They have such cute, girly pieces that aren't too ridiculously priced since sports merchandise is usually overpriced any way. My only complaint is that usually you'll see at least three other people wearing the same thing you are but you're at a sporting event, everyone is supposed to match any way!

top: victoria's secret pink {last year, new collection here} / jeans: hollister / wedges: target {old, similar here} / necklace: dogeared state of mind / watch: michael kors / bracelets: alex and ani, stella & dot / lips: mac in dangerous

  1. You look great!!! You would have the cutest jersey!! I have a love/hate relationship with baseball season - hate all the people that only take the trains because of the red sox, love the games on the weekends and it means summer time is so close!!

  5. How do you make sporting attire look so cute? I don't know the first things about baseball -- but I do know that I love a good sequined tank!

  14. You look smokin hot in that! I am under the same philosophy about looking cute and stylish at sporing events. No reason to wear a boxy shirt when there are so many cute options out there for women's gear! xoxoxo
